Michelle Malkin Gets Results

A vicious gang consisting chiefly of Central American illegal aliens, MS13, whom I've only heard about via Michelle, is hit by a major law enforcement sweep.

100 members nabbed. And they're no sweethearts:

"MS is not a gang, it's an army," said Officer Frank Flores, a gang expert with the Los Angeles Police Department, who says MS-13 membership numbers in the tens of thousands nationwide. "Within the United States, these guys pose as much a threat to the well being of ordinary citizens as any foreign terrorist group."

And maybe we're waking up:

One problem with dealing with criminal illegal immigrants, law enforcement officials say, is that cities like Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami and New York have either written or understood "sanctuary" policies that prohibit their law enforcement officers from asking a suspect about his immigration status. This makes it difficult for police officers to work with federal immigration authorities until an illegal immigrant commits a crime.

The thinking is that illegal immigrants who lead normal and productive lives would be unwilling to approach the police as witnesses if they feared that they, too, would be deported.

The problem is especially acute in Los Angeles, where gang members often return after being deported. Local police officers may know a criminal by face, but until they catch him in an illegal act, he is allowed to remain on the streets.

But a new era may be dawning in the fight against gangs, as police departments like Los Angeles's share street intelligence with the federal authorities.

"You think an immigrant Hispanic family who is here illegally would mind if we targeted the violent criminal?" Capt. Michael Downing, commander of the Hollywood precinct, asked. "I don't. But every time you mention it, they say it's a slippery slope and so the violent criminal is tolerated."

And check out Kaus and 4 Cowboys. Seems the LA Times reported this story, but "forgot" to mention that MS13 had been allowed to function in the US with cities serving as a sanctuary, and this sweep seems to indicate a strong law enforcement response to that.

Vid Update: Trey has video of Malkin talking about MS-13.

The local news in the DC area said that there are 2000 of these MS-13 clowns in Northern Virginia alone. I think about 35 were arrested from what I heard.

What are they going to do with them, anyway?

Just how bad is Mara Salvatrucha cannot be oversated. They are unbelievably awful. If you think of just how bad a gang could possibly be, and then double it…

Where do people come up with this stuff?

Ron,

They are going to move them into my neighborhood. NoVa has plenty of lefty lawyers who would be happy to foster them. Wait, that's not right. They have plenty of lefty lawyers who will argue for bail and halfway-housing. Thank God that their sensibilities make me feel better about locking my doors at night.

Ace

the Boston Herald has run a series of articles in the past few months about this gang popping up in East Boston. Some of the trademark graffiti has been seen in that area.

I've been hearing a lot about this MS13 in the last couple of days. They originated in a prison out of LA, CA. They regualrly rob, rape, pillage the Central American illegals coming through Mexico.

And their leader just issued, from prison, what amounts to a fatwa encouraging the members to "teach a lesson" to the Minuteman Project volunteers.

Scary-creepy outfit.

I wonder if Michelle Malkin is in trouble now.

You know what? As I've read stories and articles about how the MS13 gang started
I realized that people dont know as much as they think about the MS. My boyfriend has been a gang member of that latino gang for 7 years now. And for the past 2 of those 7 years his whole entire life has changed. June 10, 2003 me and him and a friend were sitting at a stop light talking and just going about our day when someone (another rival) decides that this is it. They got the chance to shoot and they did. My boyfriend was shot 5 times with a 9mm at close range. The only thing that kept him living is the window in the car being up and slowing the bullit down. Anyone who wants to know about that gang please fill free to email and I will be more than glad to share the info I have about them with you. Just in case there is that chance that I could be saving your life. If your in a gang and your reading this, I'm sure that you have a real family. One that loves you and one that thinks the world of you. Dont let the one's that's in your gang convince you that when it comes down to it that their going to be close because my boyfriend searched and gave his life for his gang only be taken away from the one's that really did care

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.
The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite.
Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
