Canadian Liberals: "We are desperate"

Finding themselves in the rare position of running neck-and-neck with the Conservatives, Canada's Liberals launch an all-out negative ad blitz in order to turn the tide for the June 28 elections.

"We are desperate," they admit in defense of their actions, which some believe might further alienate the electorate against them.

The cool thing about watching Canadian politics is the fact that none of this matters one whit to the world at large. Or frankly to Canada at large. It's sort of like watching a wildcard game between two marginal teams that just barely squeaked into the playoffs and have no chance of moving deeper into the tournament.

It's kinda enjoyable to watch, because the stakes are so wonderfully low and the game so deliciously meaningless.

But seriously: Go Harper.

I'm a fellow canuck and honestly i just can't bring myself to vote for Liberal again. I look around and none of the other parties are any better. What's a girl to do?

What's a girl to do? Vote Conservative for Christ sakes.

The solution is obvious: we need to move a bunch of conservatives up to Canada to vote in a proper, sensible government, so that we can avert the impending disaster should Canada become an influential source of liberal ... wait ... did I say "influential"?
