Reporter Infiltrates Palace Guard

Buckingham Palace.

Security at the palace was highlighted in 2003 when a Daily Mirror journalist managed to get a job as a footman in the months leading up to a visit by US president George Bush.

Ryan Parry worked for two months in the palace after using a false reference to get the job.

The tabloid breach prompted Buckingham Palace to review security and appoint a new director of security.

Yeah, OK, they caught her.
I don't actually give a whit about British palace security.

The only thing that interested me about this article was the use of the word 'pecuniary.'

Old word. It made me think of Latin class, and it made me think of Monty.

I knew that English Lit. degree would bring me fame someday....

Again? Seems to me this happens every once in awhile.

"pecuniary" is a great SAT word.

It's also featured in a song the the movie Mary Poppins.

You have to be really smart to teach your own language...

(hey, Monty, have you ever noticed that the child prrodigies excel in math, but never in English? See, math and science are just for kids!)

He's been saying that Tuesday will be a decisive day. Other reports say that Trump is in the last stages of planning an action against the mullahs.
