I feel sorry for him only in the sense that his parents did such a horrible horrible job in raising him. Why on earth would one allow their child to join some fucked up cult and not do a thing about it? I suspect he didn't go to Afganistan with out his parent's help. They paid his way. Oh, it gets even better. This week is "Islam Awareness Week" at Northwestern University. They even had a Q&A forum of people who converted to Islam, discussing their experiences with it and what not.
