First, Kill Some Of The Lawyers

Ramsey Clark vs. the judge in Saddam's trial.

One risks his life to achieve justice for Saddam Hussein and Iraq, the other parachutes in to suck up to yet another genocidal tyrant.

Which seems to have a better grasp of the American ideals of democracy, freedom, and courage in the face of fascism?

If a lot of Iraqis don't seem fully on board with this "freedom" and "human rights" stuff, bear in mind: a lot of Americans aren't really that thrilled with the ideas, either.

I think you meant to say "Suck Off" another genocidal dictator, didn't you? Ramsey Clark represents all that is bad in lawyering, and should probably be DQ'd from practicing law just because he's certifiably insane. Of course, that hasn't stopped me! Bwahahahahahahahahahhahhahhahaaaaaaaa!

This guy was Attorney General of the United States.

Care to guess which party the president who named him to that position belonged to?

That last paragraph is the most tortuous thing I've ever read, and I'm Alberto Gonzalez's proofreader.

Posted by: tachyonshuggy on November 28, 2005 02:31 PM

As the article points out, LBJ called Ramsey his "biggest mistake."

The guy basically went nuts years ago.

Fascinating expose of Ramsey, his apparent mental/emotional decline, and his ties to ultra-left groups and war criminals of all stripes can be found here.

I haven't read anything he has written in this case yet. But, I have read briefs and motions he has filed for his other whack job clients. They are all junk. Generic international law "me too" junk. So, who pays this guy? And how can I get a job churning the shit out that he does?

SWEET NEO CON
(M. Jagger/K. Richards)

You call yourself a Christian
I think that you're a hypocrite
You say you are a patriot
I think that you're a crock of shit

And listen, I love gasoline
I drink it every day
But it's getting very pricey
And who is going to pay

How come you're so wrong
My sweet neo con.... Yeah

It's liberty for all
'Cause democracy's our style
Unless you are against us
Then it's prison without trial

But one thing that is certain
Life is good at Haliburton
If you're really so astute
You should invest at Brown & Root.... Yeah

How come you're so wrong
My sweet neo con
If you turn out right
I'll eat my hat tonight

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah....

It's getting very scary
Yes, I'm frightened out of my wits
There's bombers in my bedroom
Yeah and it's giving me the shits

We must have loads more bases
To protect us from our foes
Who needs these foolish friendships
We're going it alone

How come you're so wrong
My sweet neo con
Where's the money gone
In the Pentagon

Yeah ha ha ha
Yeah, well, well

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...
Neo con

It's getting very scary
Yes, I'm frightened out of my wits
There's bombers in my bedroom
Yeah and it's giving me the shits

Well, it could also be all this blow I been doing, tell the truth.

those lyrics look like they were written by a 12 year old

Haven't Saddam's other lawyers been dying rapidly at a faster-than-normal pace?

Posted by: JohnJ on November 28, 2005 09:14 PM

ramsey clark looks like dennis kucinich on crystal meth

Posted by: on November 29, 2005 02:19 AM

Not only should he be disbarred, but he should not be allowed back into this country. His citizenship should be revoked. After Saddam is found guilty and put to death good ole' Ramsey should try to open an ambulance chasing service in Iraq. F**k that traitorous piece of crap.

RMASEY CLARK name that should go down in history with the likes of CLARENCE DARROW and the others of their kind

BIG NEWS UPDATE NOT FIRED

From her lawyer

"The irresponsible reports that have been published stating that Maria Bartiromo was fired or is no longer an employee of Fox are absolutely and unequivocally false," Freedman said Friday. "Make no mistake, we have the receipts and witnesses and they will come out whether through the courthouse or otherwise."

He added: "Those reporting her firing or the incredulous facts supporting that fiction have exhibited a complete and utter reckless disregard for the truth."

from anon2020
So what, she quit?
Megyn Kelly (accursed be her name) used to say all the time that Fox has a top female PR person who is a nasty pitbull and leaks nasty claims about anyone Fox is at war with, including those who have left the network. So I guess maybe she technically resigned? I don't know.
NEW: @FoxNews has obtained Lindsay Clancy defense attorney Kevin Reddington's appeal filing to the MA Supreme Court, which includes Reddington accusing the lone holdout juror of being "biased" against those with "debilitating mental illness", which he says is a protected category.

Holiday Break: I've had a rough couple of weeks -- the shoulder is healing now and I'm finally getting decent sleep -- and I've decided to take a long weekend.
I'm taking Friday off, and then Monday off, too.
I have Open Threads for both days and I will post if big news breaks, but if it doesn't -- and it probably won't, news is slow before a holiday weekend -- I'm going to take a four day weekend.

Dolly Parton tells the story of the supposedly real-life Jolene

1977 interview shows that Barbara Walters has always been a seaward and Dolly Parton always had "country class"
Walters actually asks Dolly Parton if she knows that people think she's a joke. This because Walters can't get over the fact that a show-woman has 1, big breasts, and 2, dresses a bit outrageously because, get this, she's an entertainer. A stage performer. You know, someone people pay money to see live and expect them to put on a show.
She never would attack Liberace for wearing glitter-tuxedos. But she's mad that Dolly Parton makes Barbara Walters look bad through association (by being a woman). Babs, you wish people associated the two of you. Believe me, we can tell the difference.
