X-Games: FoxNews Runs "Inadvertant Graphic" Over Ted Kennedy's Face

Not really. But kinda funny.

Kinda funny??!?

That shit's friggin' hilarious!

Of course, I'm not an unbiased source. Thanks for the link, Ace.

Posted by: Hoodlumman on November 23, 2005 03:14 PM

Take a look at the crawl.

Posted by: CUS on November 23, 2005 03:22 PM

How utterly perfect! No swimming...

Thanks, CUS, for pointing out the crawl. I spewed my drink all over the place!

Priceless.

Posted by: Maranna on November 23, 2005 03:53 PM

What a friggin' beauty!

This is payback for the CNN Cheney deal, right?

Pretty funny stuff.

I gotta wonder if 20+ years from now folks will still associate Cheney with official support for torture. How many Chappaquiddicks would it take to equal Abu Gharaib for damage to the US image?

Happy Thanksgiving, all.

Posted by: tubino on November 23, 2005 04:36 PM

Hey Turbino, you gigantic horse's ass,

Let's compare the number of dead young ladies at Abu Gharaib to those at Ted the swimmer's great adventure, shall we?

Never let a sense of proportion stop your constant rant of "America is wrong!"

And yes, we have a great deal to be be thankful for this year: the fact that you and your fellow scum are still out of power. As is the case with most liberal idiots, image is everything.

Cheers.

There's a difference between Chappaquiddick and Abu Ghraib. Ted Kennedy was driving the car, but it wasn't George Bush pointing at those Iraqi genitalia.

There's a difference between Chappaquiddick and Abu Ghraib.

And here's another difference: people went to prison for what happened at Abu Ghraib.

Posted by: SJKevin on November 23, 2005 06:10 PM

Hey tubby:

Happy Thanksgiving to you too. I wish you and your family all the best.

That being said:

BRING BACK CEDARFORD!

C'mon Ace. Take pity on us. We're dying for a good troll here.

Posted by: Michael on November 23, 2005 08:43 PM

"And here's another difference: people went to prison for what happened at Abu Ghraib."

Yep - and didn't Teddy just get a raise, courtesy of our tax dollars? I wonder what the folks in prison got, other than a size-eight a**hole from Big Bruce and his 9-inch Stick of Discipline?

Posted by: Cheese_Tensor on November 23, 2005 09:00 PM

Cheese Grater, why do you need to drag Andrew Sullivan into this?

Posted by: Bart on November 23, 2005 09:04 PM

Just FYI, the word is spelled "inadvertent" -- not that I plan to lose any sleep over it.

Posted by: Guy T. on November 23, 2005 09:28 PM

You guys are right.

I should have picked Henry Kissinger as comparison.

No jail time (yet - no statute of limitations for war crimes).

WAY more dead folks.

And there's the MOVIE! Catch Christopher Hitchens' best work, (available in print or on film), before the spirits lifted him away: The Trial of Henry Kissinger.

I was so very glad when the move to appoint him head of the 9-11 investigation was properly rejected.

[note to geoff: I know it was attributed to his inability to reconcile conflicts of interest. I also know that a lot of people decide to spend more time with their family -- when it's time for them to go.]

Posted by: tubino on November 23, 2005 11:21 PM

Yeah, because Ace of Spades HQ has always been a big advocate of Henry Kissinger for president in 2008? I mean, seriously. Just what are you on about?

You came into a joke thread, dropped some completely off-topic and irrelevant attempt to disparage Cheney. And then, when it is knocked down as the nonsense that it is (as even you seem almost willing to admit), you change the subject to Kissinger. Kissinger?!

This is why people don't talk to you.

Try staying on subject. Try admitting when you're wrong. Try avoiding straw-men arguments. If you have a world-view to share, do it in a constructive, honest, and relevant manner.

If you do these things, people will debate with you. If you don't, then everybody will continue to believe that it is a waste of time, and they will ignore you. You'll get some satisfaction from convincing yourself that we're ignoring you because we can't handle the truth, though. And, hey, have fun with that.

Posted by: on November 24, 2005 12:15 AM

When are you flaming anuses going to learn?

I'm not here for honest debate. I'm here to spread propaganda; demoralize.

This is how I get my kicks. I'm a lonely loser with nothing else to do with my life.

Posted by: Toobeano on November 24, 2005 12:21 AM

Jay Leno had a funny on this. He showed news photos of Cheney w/ the X, Teddy w/ XXL, and Bubba's Lewinsky speech w/ XXX

Show a picture of TED KENNEDY with a dunce cap buck teeth and a big red nose like the clowns have make him look as dumb as he is

Posted by: spurwing plover on November 24, 2005 09:09 AM

Spurwig, WTF?

Posted by: Edward R. Murrow on November 24, 2005 10:03 AM

The crawl is hysterical!

Tubino is....well he's.....he's.......typical leftist idiot.

Happy Turkey Day All

Posted by: Steve on November 24, 2005 11:29 AM

Hey, we can take tubino (see, T? I honor my bets), but will somebody please pluck spurwing plover? Every time he flies over a thread, we have to run around and put the cellophane over the deviled eggs and three bean salad.

Posted by: S. Weasel on November 24, 2005 04:53 PM

Hi,

Well, I just think there's something special about the way folks remember it as a Kennedy=Chappaquiddick thing, after all these decades. It doesn't always work that way.

Kissinger's crimes were about the same decade as Kennedy's, no? But is there that kind of durable memory of association?

Anyway, that's what I was wondering initially about Cheney. If the guy lives another few decades, will people associate him with a move to make torture an official part of US policy?

Kind of a stretch of a comparison, but... there you have it. Hey, speaking of war criminals (Kissinger), how about that Pinochet? First the tax fraud indictment, then once again for kidnapping etc, and on his 90th birthday.

Ah well. Wrong scale. Kill one person, you're a murderer. Kill thousands and you get immunity -- at least till recently.

Posted by: tubino on November 24, 2005 11:33 PM

kill millions, and become an icon for leftists worldwide.

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.
The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite.
Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
