Another One From Taranto: Bush To Blame For Iraqi Car-BombingsWell, all of that's obvious e-fucking-nough. Not really breaking any new ground there. What's fascinating is how this Mensa chapter-president gets to that conclusion: Under Saddam Hussein, in fact, cars were as rare on the streets of Iraq as ATM machines. Owning a car was a sure sign of deep loyalty to President Hussein, who tightly restricted the import of these expensive, luxury items. While palace cronies whizzed about Baghdad on Italian radials, the average Iraqi, who earned less than $300 annually, succumbed to public transportation and shoe leather. Hmmm... Bush's illegal war pumps millions into the economy, letting ordinary Iraqis buy cars for the first time, and so, um, the car-bombings are his fault. Les Payne's (perfect name, no?) next column: Bush Increases Drug-Use Among Underclass By Improving Economy. Because, seriously, crack ain't cheap. It's all a CIA plot, I tells ya. posted by Ace at 04:32 PM
CommentsAce of Spades' Law of Blogging Constipation: The number of posts directly following a complaint about how a blogger doesn't feel like posting anymore is directly proportional to the length of said complaint. That said, I figure we'll probably get another 10 posts out of you before 5 pm (California time). Kickin' ass, bro. Posted by: ccwbass on July 6, 2005 04:38 PM
posting is easy enough. It's just that I'm not really inspired to do anything original, apart from making the same formulaic hack-jokes after a link. Posted by: ace on July 6, 2005 04:51 PM
Not perfect; his first name should be "More." Les Payne is a racist, a socialist, and a reflexive spouter of vitriol at anyone who dares to disagree with him. Thomas Sowell's column appeared in Newsday for a brief while. Payne put an end to it by referring to "Uncle Tom" Sowell at least once in every column he published. After a bit of that, Sowell forbade his syndicator to sell his column to any longer. The whole paper is an embarrassment to self-respecting journalists, but the Opinion pages are particularly bad. One could almost get the idea that they...you know...have an agenda. Posted by: Francis W. Porretto on July 6, 2005 04:51 PM
I cannot even believe this is a serious article. In other news, Iraq has a job shortage caused by those on Saddams death list still being alive and working. Posted by: DelphiGuy on July 6, 2005 04:56 PM
Bet their cholesterol levels are rising too. Posted by: lauraw on July 6, 2005 05:24 PM
Income taxes are next. Bush is a monster! Posted by: Dave in Texas on July 6, 2005 05:53 PM
I heard that thanks to Bush's war there is now too much SARCASM in Iraq! Posted by: Ron on July 6, 2005 06:18 PM
This reminds me of the classic conservative joke that if everybody in America became twice as wealthy, the New York Times headline would read "Gap Between Rich And Poor Widens". Posted by: SJKevin on July 6, 2005 07:19 PM
Racism, always the fallback for the mindless Bush sheep. Payne is brilliant. Sowell is a disgrace to us evolved. Great society your kind has created under the illegal Resident Select Bush regime. Posted by: Brad on July 6, 2005 08:38 PM
That comment drives me nuts. Posted by: lauraw on July 6, 2005 09:51 PM
The "illegal Resident Select Bush regime?" Now that's funny. Between Brad and Cain the Anti-Neocon, this site has some of the most entertaining trolls on the web. Posted by: Slublog on July 6, 2005 10:18 PM
Oh, my! That troll just linked to an article on Lil Kim's sentencing.....and thinks there's a point in there somewhere. Check out the big brain on Brad! (not) Posted by: The Warden on July 6, 2005 10:53 PM

Brad, you lovable little scamp. "Rove probably knows enough to put Cheney, Bush, and Rumsfeld in Leavenworth where they belong." I mean, how cute is that!? Ace, can we keep him? Huh? Can we? Posted by: Slublog on July 7, 2005 12:20 AM
If we keep him, I think it would be the responsible thing to have him "altered" first, if you know what I mean. Eugenics gets a bad rap these days. Posted by: digitalbrownshirt on July 7, 2005 12:29 AM
Will you extra chromosome book burners back him? Again. Posted by: Brad on July 7, 2005 12:40 AM
Damn, Dave. It didn't take long for the "Bush LIED!" about the weather meme to surface. And "extra chromosome?" Brad, are you making fun of those with down's syndrome? That's not nice. Posted by: Slublog on July 7, 2005 12:46 AM
Brad, I gotta admit. That link, and the 'scandal' you're trying to create? Pathetic. Really. You guys have got to update the playbook, if you know what I'm saying. Posted by: Slublog on July 7, 2005 12:54 AM
BUSH LIED PEOPLE DIED! Posted by: Brad on July 7, 2005 01:01 AM
You're kidding, right? Ace, is that you? Posted by: Slublog on July 7, 2005 01:05 AM
Brad, is that all you've got to offer? Let me help you out a bit. HALLIBURTON! DOWNING STREET MEMOS! KARL ROVE! ENRON! No need to thank me. I do this as a public service. Posted by: Slublog on July 7, 2005 01:14 AM
Nice try. You left out Diebold, Bechtel, the oil oligarchy, the entire right wing media and the rest of the Chimpy for-profit oil conglomerate. Do you think I'm stupid? Posted by: Brad on July 7, 2005 01:22 AM
Dang, I missed Diebold? Must be the wine, and the fact that it's 1:30 in the morning. I'll do better tomorrow, honest. Posted by: Slublog on July 7, 2005 01:26 AM
Do you think I'm stupid? Yep. Next question? Posted by: Lipstick on July 7, 2005 01:30 AM
AWWWWW! Reminds me of that little kitten that hung around our yard for a couple days last year. Adorable. I think the coyotes must have got it. Posted by: lauraw on July 7, 2005 09:40 AM
Bad news for Brad and the other Saddamites when you can't tell if they are trolls, troll parodies, or kittens. Posted by: on July 7, 2005 09:58 AM

ANOTHER LEFT WING ASSASSIN ATTEMPTS TO KILL TRUMP
If I understand this, the left-wing Democrat assassin attempted to get into the White House Correspondents Association dinner, and was stopped at the magnetometers, which detected his gun. I guess he pulled out the gun and was shot by Secret Service agents. Erika Kirk was present.

Important Message from Recent Convert to Christianity and Yet Super-Serious Christian Tuq'r Qarlson: Actually Muslims love Jesus, it's Trump and his neocons who hate him
Tucker Carlson Network Trump's trolling tweet was ill-advised, but Tucker is just lying when he claims the Christianity-hating President of Iran was "offended" by this. He's one step away from announcing his official conversion to Islam. He literally never stops praising Islam. Well, he suddenly became Christian two years ago, there's not much stopping him from converting again. You can track Tuq'r's official conversion to Islam with this Bingo card.
People say that the bearded man in the video of Fartwell molesting a hooker looks like Democrat Arizona Senator Rueben Gallego, said to be Swalwell's "best friend" and known to take vacations with him.
@KFILE 21m So the campaign is collapsing due to the truth of the sexual harassment allegations. That hissing sound you hear is the air going out of the Swalwell campaign. UPDATE: No it wasn't, it was just Swalwell one-cheek-sneaking out a fart on camera Eric Swalwell more like Eric Farewell amirite thanks to weft-cut loop.
This is the dumbest AI bullslop I've seen in a while: the CIA can use "quantum magnetometry" to track an individual man's heartbeat from twelve miles away
I wouldn't click on it, it's not interesting, it's just stupid clickslop. I just want to share my annoyance with you.
Oil prices plunge on bizarre realization that Eric Swalwell may actually be straight. A rapey molester, allegedly, but a straight one.
Classic Rock Mystery Click
This is super-obscure and I only barely remember it. Given that, I'll give you the hint that it's by the Red Rocker. And I guess you think you've got it made Oh, but then, you never were afraid Of anything that you've left behind Oh, but it's alright with me now 'Cause I'll get back up somehow And with a little luck, yes, I'm bound to win Now twenty people will tell me it's not obscure, it was huge in their hometown and played at their prom. That's how it usually goes. When I linked Donnie Iris's "Love is Like a Rock," everyone said they knew that one and that his other song (which I didn't know at all) Ah Leah! was huge in their area.
