I think we're going to see a lot more of this in the future. The internet, almost more than usual, seems to attract the sociopath, give place to vent the most psychotic personalities. Where future criminals used to scratch out their tortured psyches on college rule scribblings, we're now all an audience, and they'll write for posterity.

Already, I've gotten chills from blogs and how they've cracked a slant of light into the darkest portions of humanity.

To this day, the blog entry of a murder victim haunts me. I think Ace might've posted the article. Basically, a 19 year old kid posts about his upcoming summer, his plans for college in the fall, his hopes and dreams. And in a lil side note, he talks about how his sister's boyfriend came over and is acting all weird. It was his last entry. The boyfriend killed him and his sister.

Chills. To see someone looking so forward to life, and knowing, in the next fifteen minutes after that entry, they were brutally murdered.

The internet is a rough place at times.

There's fan sites for serial killler out there. I was just reading one for Karla Homolka that made my skin crawl. The world is filled with sickos, and not just the funny ones like Ace, I'm talking the seriously f'd up sickos that need to be removed from society permanently.

I was going to put the link on *my* blog but I'm not anonymous like Ace.... besides, he can handle the traffic.

He killed some of them by nailing nails into their heads until they died! He was eventually convicted and sentenced to death. Gacy's final words before being executed by lethal injection, on May 10, 1994, were -- "Kiss my ass."

This case will be tried by an Idaho or Montana jury, not a NYC jury.

In New York, you can swing a dead cat on a sidewalk and likely either hit a passerby psychiatrist, psychologist, lawyer, or someone who has used the services of all three.

North Rocky Mountain States? Ruby Ridge land. Anti Gumminters. But not the place you want to be if you are a kiddy rapist and killer. The guy can try "I was insane", but likely the jury members will all be thinking "rabid dog", and rabid dogs are shot, not hospitalized. Guy will get death, then 12-15 years as the ACLU shysters manipulate the appeals process.

Defendants can plead to whatever they want. However, his ramblings don't even come close to the definition of not guilty due to insanity/guilty but insane.

I wouldn't say that about Idaho. I haven't checked Montana. Again, there is a lot to be said about Texas. Long appeals are the exception - generally they delay it about ten years, but don't quote me. And don't tell me about due process. They get due process up the ying-yang in Texas.

I wasn't particularly suggesting the insanity plea would be effective, but rather that the site might be an attempt, perhaps too clever by half, at setting up the plea. I have to say, I have not brought myself to visit the site and I don't believe I ever will. As such, I appreciate those willing to wade into it and pull out interesting bits.

I am curious where he gets his money from. Apparently, he has done some traveling and vacationing, has money for computer and software and video, etc.
