Charles Rangel Compares Iraq War To The Holocaust [Say Anything]

Saddam Hussein murdered hundreds of thousands of his countrymen and buried them in shallow mass graves, yet America's soldiers are guilty of a holocaust.

Its enough to make a guy want to puke.

To be fair, I think Rangel was trying to compare the "world's silence" about what he is undoubtedly perceiving as atrocities in Iraq to the world's silence about the holocaust in Nazi Germany during the first part of WWII. But still, he's drawing a comparison between the Nazi's occupation of parts of Europe and America's occupation of Iraq, which is, to any sensible person, beyond the pale.

Hmm, and Mr.Rangel ( hail fellow ,well met appearance notwithstanding) , has often been confused with a 'sensible person'?

He is altogether as delusional as most of the other 'leading' figures in the once great Democratic Party ,and why should this asinine statement be surprising to anybody ?

Rangel is just confused. Consider this -- If the dems won control of the House, this confused person would be the chairman of the House Ways and Means committee. No confusion about what that would mean.

Like a 19-year-old fraternity pledge trying to make it with a co-ed, hyperbole has become the currency of modern politics.

What I really wonder is where do we go after the Nazi analogies lose their impact (if they haven't already)? Do we start accusing people of being "as bad as Ben Affleck?"

Dude, I am so going to steal that line. I just have to figure out how to work that into a conversation.

Are you sure the trackback info is correct? I tried linking to this topic and it came up with an error.

My response to Charlie Star: You have me confused with someone who gives a shit what you think..

On his radio show, I once heard Sean Hannity tear Rangel a new asshole, not an easy thing to do with his ignorant and stupid Nu-Yawk-big-mout. It took all of twenty minutes and a whole lot of words but it was magnificent! Hopefully someone else will do the same, or perhaps he'll be invited on Hannity's show again.

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.
The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite.
Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
