The Yankee fans (NYT, Washington Post, Newsweek) are screaming epithets and flinging car batteries at the Red Sox (Republicans) from the seats of Yankee Stadium (Washington, New York, LA).

In hopes of winning the praise of the Yankee fans, half the Red Sox team decides to throw the game. Yes, they'll lose. But all those nasty Yankee fans will like them.

(a) as stated by others, the R's could unilaterally surrender and the MSM would STILL carp. So that's no reason to "give" back 10%.
