I have a very dear friend. He and I met in 9th grade. The only son of a jewish mother. He decided to go to a friends house after school one day and didn't tell his mom because she was busy doing something. So he took off on his bike without thinking anything of it. He says he was about 9.

He and his friend had been playing video games or whatever and he didn't realize his mother had alerted the police and called everyone she knew and finally called the house of the boy down the street in hysterics.

Relieved her son was not dead in a ditch she told the mother to have him stay there she was coming to get him in the car. He says he remembers vividly waiting in the driveway with that sense of dread one feels on a deathwatch. He was nine. She arrived and he got in the car to look at his mother's red face and swollen eyes. Knowing she had been crying for hours. He goes to sit in the car but there is a huge pile of tissue. He looks at her and she says. "You see! You see the tears I have cried for you! You did this to me. You made me think you were dead and my heart was broken."

He is nearly 38 years old now and says he remembers it like it happened yesterday.

Guilt either Jewish or Catholic is a WMD I tell you.

OK, there's a difference between Jewish and Catholic men.
The approach from Mom is different. The result is different.

As far as Catholic men and moms. If they are latino catholic men then a jew has nothing on them. There is NOTHING worse than that. Nothing is every good enough for her "chachito" especially the "puta" he marries. And he never sees it. Ever.

NOt that it is proof of Jewish guilt, but AIPAC just terminated 2 of their top officials, Weissman and Rosen, AIPAC's program director, for conduct issues.

The two men had been arrested and their hard drives and several other hard drives at AIPAC taken on seach warrants issued after charges they passed on highly classified information to Israel using Larry Franklin and others within DOD and State Depts.

Why would AIPAC can the two? Why, because they were shocked, just shocked that ANY AIPAC staff would spy for Israel!!!

Rosen and Weissman are still being investigated. Passports seized so they can't flee the country. No public indictment is released, no trial date set.

Perhaps they are just victims of anti-Semitism as they 1st claimed. Now they can sue AIPAC for anti-Semitism.

So. so far, all I've gotten from Sullivan/those similar is that it's thier homosexuality that separates them from God (Jennifer's linked story for emphasis).

And that they resent that they are and that others are not. And want the terms changed to accommodate the separation from God and then all this other stuff to just paste over the main premise.

The suggestion as to guilt among/by Catholics, however: not seen it, never heard it, haven't read it.

ARE those two issues related, however? I can't speak on behalf of Jews, but I don't find the issue of guilt and homosexuality inherent to either (Catholics or Jews)...I'm sure Sullivan *thinks* they are related but then look at everything else he *thinks.*
