Fake But Accurate 2: Forging Ahead

Give it up, MSM. It's fake.

You were snookered again. Jeepers, why does this keep happening to you, with all your vaunted fact-checking?

Could it possibly be that your are politically biased and inclined to accept uncritically any "document" which is facially damaging to Republicans passed to you by Democrats?

Rathergate is of course all over this like ricotta cheese on Michael Moore's scraggly shit-beard. Just keep scrolling, as the man says.

You know this could be a good false flag op. We just spoon feed the MSM bullshit and let their lazy selves torpedo their own credibility. Such that it is at the moment.

First story for the MSM:

It feels good to be a Republican.
What a year we've had, and it keeps getting better.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get to Kinko's and fax some documents to CBS. Then I have to pee myself laughing.

If you're so concerned about the memos authenticity, support Senator Lautenberg's petition asking Senator Frist to start an investigation.

Until you publicly do this, you will allow the Republican's to prevent the public from knowing the truth about the memo's origin.

First has not acted on Lautenberg's request. What is Frist hiding?

Posted by: Bonddad on March 28, 2005 05:07 PM

I am incensed that he hasn't responded to me about that Bigfoot video I sent him too.
It is curious....

*gasp!*

HE MUST BE IN ON IT !!!

Dude, we want to know the memo's origin so we can all congratulate him on a superb prank.

Posted by: lauraw on March 28, 2005 05:45 PM

Below is a copy of the letter from Lautenberg to Lott (I apoligize for stating Frist was the addressee). The letter is available on Senator Lautenberg's Senate page.

Please urge Lott to investigate. Until Lott takes action, it is the Republicans who are stonewalling. This clearly indicates they -- not the Democrats -- are hiding something.

March 23, 2005

Honorable Trent Lott Chairman Senate Committee on Rules and Administration 305 Russell Senate Building Washington, DC 20510

Honorable Christopher Dodd Ranking Member Senate Committee on Rules and Administration 305 Russell Senate Building Washington, DC 20510

Dear Chairman Lott and Ranking Member Dodd,

Late last week, the attached document was apparently distributed to Republican Senators. The document consists of "talking points" relevant to the private relief legislation for Terri Schiavo. The document is not on any letterhead, nor is its source identified. According to media reports, the document was distributed on the floor of the Senate to a number of Senators by the Republican leadership. Senators Frist and Santorum, however, have denied distributing it, which raises the possibility that it was distributed by staff.

The distribution of anonymous materials on the Senate floor is troubling. There is a policy in place -- at least among the Democratic conference -- requiring that any materials to be distributed to Senators on the floor must bear the signature of one or more Senators. This is an important safeguard to identify the source of information and protect the integrity of such materials. Those who would attempt to influence debate in the United States Senate should not hide behind anonymous pieces of paper.

In light of this troubling incident, I am writing to request that the Rules Committee conduct an investigation of the attached document, its source, and how it came to be distributed. And I further request that the Rules Committee consider whether it would be useful to amend the Standing Rules of the Senate (such as Standing Rule XIX regarding Debate, Standing Rule XXXIII regarding the Senate Chamber, or Standing Rule XLIII regarding Representation) in order to address this situation. Short of amending a Standing Rule of the Senate, the Committee could also consider amending Rule XVII (Use of Display Materials in the Senate Chamber) of the Rules for Regulation of the Senate Wing of the United States Capitol and Senate Office Buildings, adopted by the Committee pursuant to Standing Rule XXXIII of the Senate.

I look forward to hearing from you on how you are going to proceed on this matter. Sincerely,

Frank R. Lautenberg

"Until you publicly do this, you will allow the Republican's (sic) to prevent the public from knowing the truth about the memo's origin."

I thought everybody knew: IT WAS ME!!!

Geeze, how many times do I have to tell you?

Posted by: Karl Rove on March 28, 2005 05:55 PM

Yes we should trust Sen. Lautenberg .
After all it's not like the Senate Democrats have been hunting for a scandal to peg on the Rs. There personal Abu Gharab investigation was for the good of all.

And its not like Sen Boxer wasn't trying to give credit to mindless moonbat asshatery about Ohio, despite a lack of facts, just so the Democrats could recycle the "selected not elected" slogan for another 4 years.

Your parents lied to you- the creepy old man with the blacked out van really does just want to be your friend. Trust him, he's got candy.

Posted by: HowardDevore on March 28, 2005 06:14 PM

The Lout shouldn't even be a Senator in the first place. Anyone remember how the Donks illegally replaced Toricelli with Lautenburg just before the election?

Posted by: zetetic on March 28, 2005 06:24 PM

The law only applies to suckers like conservatives. Enlightened libs superior moral compass suffices for them.

Posted by: Iblis on March 28, 2005 06:28 PM

"According to media reports, the document was distributed on the floor of the Senate to a number of Senators by the Republican leadership."

Huh...media reports also noted that the memo was being passed arouhd by Democratis staffers and that they said that Republican leaders were passing it out.

Seems he forgot that part.

The MSM has hated America for 50 years. They will put out anything defaming America as "news" regardless of how fake it is. Their intent is to smear America.
