The UN: Raping Children For Peace

When all-star tipster GregS says "MUST POST!," I tend to listen:

The deployment of Jordanian peacekeepers to East Timor was probably one of the most contentious UN decisions to follow the bloody independence ballot. It was eclipsed only by the cover-up and inaction that followed when the world body learned of their involvement in a series of horrific sex crimes involving children living in the war-battered Oecussi enclave.

Children were not the only victims - in early 2001, two Jordanians were evacuated home with injured penises after attempting sexual intercourse with goats.

Yes, that's funny. But let us return to the horror:

The UN mission in East Timor led by Sergio Vieira de Mello (who was later killed in Baghdad) did its best to keep the matter hushed up. The UN military command at the time was only too happy to oblige.

Today the cry for justice from the child victims continues to go unheard.

With the UN battered by a series of allegations embroiling its Nobel Prize-winning peacekeepers in a web of global sexual misconduct, new details have emerged of widespread sexual abuse against the civilian population by the Jordanian soldiers in Oecussi.

The findings are contained in a secret report by the UN Transitional Administration in East Timor, a copy of which has been obtained by Inquirer. It determines that Jordanian peacekeepers routinely sexually abused young East Timorese boys in return for money and food. Witnesses interviewed by UN investigators also claim Jordanian involvement in several alleged rapes of boys and women. The report contains witness testimony, much of it too graphic to repeat in this newspaper.

Thank God for the United Nations. Without them, we might have to rely on stingy American charitable donations to fund worldwide child rape.

And sadly, this will not make it as big headlines in our country because it is in our interest to keep the good will of King Abdullah and not make a stink about it.

- I'm not blaming Abdullah btw - I rather like him.

The press could cover it all they wanted. They won't because it would violate all the laws of multiculturalism.

How I miss the Diplomad. All we have left to carry on the voice are Chrenkoff, Belmont Club and Mudville Gazette (perhaps I'm missing a few).

Posted by: KCTrio on March 26, 2005 08:31 PM

Agreed. I miss Diplomad too. It was nice to have a state dept. mole working for us. Terrible loss to the 'sphere.

All hail "World Government"!

Posted by: Lipstick Dynamite on March 26, 2005 09:19 PM

Diplomad was awesome, but Daily Demarche and New Sisyphus have picked up the slack in terms of promoting the Right-Wing Underground at State. Well worth checking out.

(The comment screener won't let me post those as links. What's up with that?)

goofi annan is reportedly 'depressed' and 'ready to quit'...does anyone believe that he's feeling blue ''for the children''

Thank God for the United Nations. Without them, we might have to rely on stingy American charitable donations to fund worldwide child r@pe.

Well, I, for one, think that American charitable donations could probably violate those kids a lot more efficently than the UN ever could.

Let's be honest--in the time that we could ship Jacko off to some third world hellhole with a crate of "Jesus Juice," UN officials would be jetting off to Brussels to form a committee to study the feasibility of an already-formed committee on the logistics and funding for the next UN sex-with-underage-boys-for-food mission. And that committee has doubtlessly adjourned for an afternoon of fine wines and cheeses. And none of this even takes the graft involved into consideration!

p.s. I know I'm going to Hell for writing this comment.

p.p.s. I was going to work Jimmy Carter into this, but I decided against it. I respect the Office, if not the man.

p.p.p.s. ace's comment police wouldn't let me use the "r" word in my ramblings, even though he was allowed to use it in his post. Welcome to John Ashkkkrof--er, Alberto Gonzalez's Amerikka. Yeah. That's the ticket!

Ace - you forgot the best parts:

Jordanian peacekeepers screwing goats

and

... pulling guns on the Aussie peacekeepers who ratted on them

Sorry - here's the other link.

Wow

Since we can blame the UN for a few bad soldiers. Do we dismantle the US Army because of Abu Graib?

Posted by: SkyHunter on March 27, 2005 10:23 AM

Ooh, nice moral equivalence there! You're not seriously comparing enemy combatants with children, now are you?

Posted by: zetetic on March 27, 2005 11:14 AM

Not exactly. There's also comparing rape with laughing at someone's wee-wee.

Posted by: Alex on March 27, 2005 12:05 PM

Besides, the left already does blame the entire US for a few bad soldiers. Fair's fair.

Posted by: Alex on March 27, 2005 12:07 PM

OT (but still sort of S.E. Asia-ish related). CSPAN2 just covered a book lectury/talk thing about Pol-Pot that was pretty cool. Guy was an old BBC reporter, who played it pretty straight, not a lefty trying to find ways to blame colonialism (or the US) for the atrocities there.

My lack of knowledge about what was going on there has always been (embarrasingly) sketchy and he filled it in a bit in an interesting way. They're not rerunning it again today, but sure it'll be on again, they rerun that stuff into the ground. Just tossin that out here. Maybe it only appealed to me for some quicky, personal reason, but gotta think somebody here would've liked it too.

Posted by: Ray Midge on March 27, 2005 01:45 PM

So is the solution less Jordanians, or more goats?

Posted by: Cedarford on March 27, 2005 03:51 PM

wait a minute.
they rape a few people and every one is up in arms.
we go over to iraq and kill about 50,000 and everyone cheers...

what are your priorities fellows

Posted by: Ron Phelps on March 27, 2005 05:19 PM

Try under 15,000, numbnuts. Which is only if you're counting civilian casualties. If you're counting actual enemy combatants, you're scum and I want nothing more to do with you.

Posted by: Mr. Bowen on March 27, 2005 08:05 PM

Also, Ron, we went to Iraq to fight a war. People get killed in wars--that's sort of the way the whole concept works. The Jordanians were ostensibly in East Timor on a humanitarian peacekeeping mission. I doubt their orders included having sex with little boys and goats, but hey--maybe I'm just a little naive.

Spewfan The full moon really brings 'em out!

Whether the moon is out or not, what does it matter to your restroom blowjobs?

Do you need a skylight to do "SpewFan's job & number 1 source of nourishment???

Gobble it up, SpewFan.

Posted by: Cedarford on March 27, 2005 09:33 PM

Cedarford,

You are the blog equivalent of crap on a shoe.

You stink, nobody wants you, we can't seem to scrape you off completely, and letting you dry out by yourself doesn't seem to solve our problem.

Piece of shit, why did you find this place to stick??

Posted by: lauraw on March 27, 2005 10:58 PM

"Gobble it up, SpewFan."

It's really funny how you took this personally when it was directed at the new moonbats that have been flying around here. Do you have a guilty conscience cedarturd (thanks and a hattip to lauraw for bringing new meaning to this alias)? You should have but I doubt you have a conscience at all. More likely this was another desperate cry for attention. If you don't improve the quality of your invective Randall Terry and the RTL SWAT Team will be dropping in to sprinkle holy water on you!
