I agree Ace. That was a dumb thing for DeLay to say. He seems to always be tripping over his tongue. But I am glad they are coming back into session. Hopefully not too late. There are some who of course see this as the collapse of the republic and the destruction of the balance of power within the government so expect a lot of squealing.

Ace, I believe Terri went without food for almost a week the last time they pulled it.

The DeLay is annoying, but I'm not sure that 2 days is going to be a problem.

I've never been a big DeLay fan, but at a press conference earlier a reporter asked what he thought of Michael Schiavo's comments about DeLay and other members of congress who were trying to intervene on Terri's behalf.

He basically said that he had very little respect for a man who has refused therapy for his disabled wife, has done nothing to prevent the neglect that she's suffering in the facility where he placed her, and who refused to allow an MRI to be done before starving her to death.

Right. Fucking. On.

“The Senate will meet today at 5:00 p.m. to pass an adjournment. Passing an adjournment resolution will enable us to bring both the House and Senate back into session under our emergency powers. The House will meet at 1:00pm on Sunday, March 20th in the hope of receiving unanimous consent to take up the measure. If unanimous consent cannot be attained, the measure will be considered on the House Suspension Calendar as early as 12:01 a.m. Monday, March 21.
