Absolute, Non-Ironic Shock: Jon-Benet Ramsey's Parents No Longer Supsects

CBS' 48 Hours to Report Jon-Benet's Killer Linked to Rape of Girl Who Attended Same Dance-School

I know, I know: It's CBS. It could be completely fabricated.

Still, if this is true, some people will owe the Ramsey's a mighty big apology. Including, of course, myself:

CBS News says that JonBenet Ramsey's killing has been linked to the rape of another little girl who took dance lessons at the same school in Boulder, Colo.

In a report to be broadcast Saturday night on 48 Hours Mystery, the network says that JonBenet's parents are no longer suspects.

...

CBS interviews the parents of a girl identified only as Amy, who was attacked nine months after the Ramsey killing by a man who broke into her bedroom. He fled when her mother woke and came into the room.

Both parents say they were struck by the similarities between the two crimes, but police in Boulder appeared to be uninterested.

I don't know how it can be the case that the parents are "no longer suspects" and yet the Boulder police are "uninterested" in pursuing the lead that would render them non-suspects, but, again, this is CBS News, after all. Certain allowances must be made.

I have no remorse towards the creepy Ramsey's at all. Their refusal to be questioned separately makes them extremely suspicious in my eyes. Honest people have no difficulty in getting their stories to match up. Why the police were so toothless on this issue has never ceased to baffle me. THese people are unquestionably hiding something.

Why didnt the second family report this to the press? I mean i understand that they want to spare their daughter the media spotlight, but If they did keep quite for their daughters sake, why come forward now? They should have done more to get this story out there. The killer could have done this again dozens of times since then.
If CBS is right the police in Boulder must be lazy morons. I have very little respect for the intelligence and work ethic of cops. Once they figured out Kobe Bryant wasnt in town they probably ran out of leads.

Sorry Ace, if it's CBS I have to skip over it. With them there is no telling what the truth is, what was said, to whom or if any part of the "story" actually happened at all. It is exactly zero information. I'll wait until I hear it from somewhere else. I wouldn't believe CBS if they said the sun will rise tomorrow!

If the Ramseys are not suspects therefore did not murder Jon Benet, this type of report should be viewed by everyone in the nation. The entire nation has dogged the Ramseys for years, even forcing them to move away from Boulder.

In some areas of Colorado, there are jokes about the Ramseys being CO's version of OJ. It has become popular culture up there. If this is true and there is no way they murdered their daughter, I can only think how sad this is that we destroyed two people's lives by now false accusations.

Man - I thought for sure they did it to, because the whole story was just so bizarre. But that doesn't excuse the police; they are supposed to be trained with something other than endless episodes of Law and Order (which would, you know, make up the entirety of MY training.)

Posted by: carin on December 18, 2004 08:18 AM

Oh, yeah, like I'd believe ANYTHING said by CBS.

The thing is, even if they weren't directly responsible for their daughter's death, they behaved as if they had much to hide and greatly impaired the investigation. That gives reason to regard them with contempt.

The popular press has ruined the Ramsey family. I believe they are innocent and the police have been lazy as all hell.
Research the case a bit more.
This scumbag was living right down the road from the Ramseys who is a suspect in similar crimes against little girls. The similarities are as specific as tying them with stockings, which is like what was done to poor Jon-Benet.

Posted by: lauraw on December 18, 2004 08:38 PM

For those of you with your backs up about the Ramseys should keep in mind the first advice they got was from a friend who was a former prosecutor and EXPLICITY told them not to talk to the cops because they were automatically the lead suspects because family is always automatically suspect. Between that and the nasty crap that cops routinely pull during investigations you would be insane to be anything but extremely cautious in any interaction you have with the cops. From the inside reports the Boulder cops were even more guilty of this kind of behavior than most. Lazy and inept just begin to tell it.

Posted by: RC on December 18, 2004 09:42 PM

Hmmm.

If this pans out, then I'll have to join about 200 million other Americans in signing a big apology card to the Ramseys. I say again, *if* this pans out, it's a good example of why common law holds that you're innocent until actually proven guilty.

Not that this lets OJ off the hook. I reserve the right to mock that knife wielding sack o' crap every time he crosses my radar screen from this moment until his lord finally calls him home to the ninth circle of hell.

Or, at least, until CBS coughs up some late breaking new evidence in the case...

Wow, what a relief...the two people who have worked the hardest contaminate the crime scene , exploit their ties to local police, and offer more contradictory testimony since Iran-Contra scandal have been exonerated by media puppets with ties to friends in Texas. This case provided the basis for the best piece of journalism/fiction that was ever written, featured on the Konformist website (no longer exists...hmm). This guy went on for several pages explaining the background of Jonbenet's father and his links to defense contractors and mithriaic cults that involve many of the US's power-brokers. Got any background?

Important Message from Recent Convert to Christianity and Yet Super-Serious Christian Tuq'r Qarlson: Actually Muslims love Jesus, it's Trump and his neocons who hate him
Tucker Carlson Network
@TCNetwork

The people in charge [Jews, of course -- ace] don't want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus.

Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. That's why Donald Trump's painting depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran. It was an attack on his religion as well as Christianity.

Trump's trolling tweet was ill-advised, but Tucker is just lying when he claims the Christianity-hating President of Iran was "offended" by this.
He's one step away from announcing his official conversion to Islam. He literally never stops praising Islam. Well, he suddenly became Christian two years ago, there's not much stopping him from converting again.
You can track Tuq'r's official conversion to Islam with this Bingo card.

Politico is reporting that multiple people have abruptly resigned from Eric Swalwell's gubernatorial campaign: "Members of senior leadership have departed the campaign, including Courtni Pugh, a strategic adviser who served as Swalwell's top liaison to organized labor groups."

So the campaign is collapsing due to the truth of the sexual harassment allegations.
