Highest Turnout in 36 YearsAnd therefore the biggest turnout of my lifetime. So says Newt Gingrich. I really want to win this, for so many reasons I can't even list. But one of them-- a minor one -- is to finally rubbish the liberals' belief that there is an army of liberal voters out there who really, really want to elect liberal candidates to the presidency. posted by Ace at 04:51 PM
CommentsI'm tellin you, when this goes down, it's primal scream time. As lame as that sounds, it's gonna feel SOOOO damn satisfying - the question is who's gonna drive that last coffin nail into the MSM casket? Posted by: fat kid on November 2, 2004 04:54 PM
I've found my moment of Zen in this whole mess, and here it is: It took four years of Carter to make Reagan possible. And I can wait, if I have to. But my bones say it Texas BBQ time tomorrow. Posted by: Bud Tugley on November 2, 2004 05:00 PM
Just got back from voting in Hamilton County, Ohio. Did a straight ticket Republican vote, then handed my ballot to the four antique women chatting at the table. Nobody seemed especially concerned about seeing my photo identification or voter registration card or anything. I was in and out in less than five minutes, but I imagine it'll really back up after 5. Ace, I was born in '68. You? I think it's still too early to have any confidence (even though I posted a supremely confident prediction yesterday). If we win this thing it'll be despite the best efforts of the MSM, up to and including the early leaks of raw exit polling data intended to demoralize optimistic Bush voters. (Heck, if Bush has already lost Ohio, why bother voting in NM, or HI, or OR, or any of the other places he was competitive as recently as a couple of days ago??) On to more important polls: have you chosen between Bev Crusher, Deanna Troi, Tasha Yar, Guinan, and Lwaxana Troi in this week's SF Babes poll yet? While you're there, check out the new Gallery of previous winners. Posted by: JohnL on November 2, 2004 05:01 PM
Ace, I was born in '68. You? Didn't your mother tell you it's rude to ask that of a blogger? Posted by: ace on November 2, 2004 05:04 PM
Guinan? GUINAN?? Aye caramba. I'll take Counselor Cleavage, thankyouverymuch. Posted by: Bud Tugley on November 2, 2004 05:07 PM
In reminding yourself to chill you have also helped to remind me to do so. We can do this! America can't be as dumb as Michael Moore thinks! Posted by: Jade on November 2, 2004 05:09 PM
"America can't be as dumb as Michael Moore..." I totally agree. Posted by: zetetic on November 2, 2004 05:15 PM
I thought it was only rude to ask chicks - not bloggers - their age. Your allusion to this being the highest turnout in 36 years, and therefore your lifetime (along with your knowledge of D&D, Rush music and other 80s pop culture), made me wonder whether you were also 36. So who is it? Troi, Crusher, Yar?? (You wouldn't believe the pics you find on Google for Marina Sirtis, btw). Posted by: JohnL on November 2, 2004 05:32 PM
I wouldn't mind having the URL which led to such pictures. Posted by: ace on November 2, 2004 05:38 PM
I would, but apparently the term "google dot com" is questionable content. http://images."google dot com"/images?q=marina+sirtis&hl=en Posted by: JohnL on November 2, 2004 05:48 PM
"It took four years of Carter to make Reagan possible." Words of great wisdom, so let's not despair even if the worst happens, for there will be much work to do, no matter what happens. Posted by: 72VIRGINS on November 2, 2004 06:27 PM
"It took four years of Carter to make Reagan possible." Words of great wisdom, so let's not despair even if the worst happens, for there will be much work to do, no matter what happens." Yes, But you cannot undo supreme court nominations. This is really why I voted for GWB. I can't stand the thought of ultra-liberal judges sitting on the highest court in the US. Even, perish the thought, Justice Clinton. Posted by: Fireproof4Ever on November 2, 2004 07:00 PM

Four innocent victims stabbed in "Islamic extremism" attack in France
Thanks to Jack Straw. Y'all, The Bulwark's newest writer is Nina Jankowicz. Her first piece for Bill Kristol's grifter mag? Trump is a "Fool and a Tool." Amazing journolisming! Her USAID funding got cut so now she's being funded by Pierre Omidyar and the other leftwing billionaires that pay for The Bulwark. (Bill Kristol's "non profit" organization, "Defending Democracy Together," is also getting its USAID funding zeroed out.) ![]()
As Kash Patel takes over as FBI head, unpardoned election-rigger Peter Strzok deletes his entire twitter history
My speculation: what he's really deleting are his DMs, which probably feature a fair few Deep State operatives coordinating with him. Don't worry, Elon Musk will resurrect those DMs. Dick Durbin says Patel is a rilly bad guy, you guys I prefer the heat. I can always wear shorts and flip-flops if it gets hot. But when it's below freezing it's not like I can just put pants on.-- Disinterested FDA Director
More fraudulent journalism at CBS: 60 Minutes interviewed two people who lost their jobs as a result of DOGE overhauling USAID. Kristina Drye & Adam Dubard emoted on behalf of thousands of USAID employees who have been terminated, but neither Kristina nor Adam was actually an employee of USAID. Clever word parsing and dishonest editing conveyed otherwise. [Buck]

Axios notes that voters aren't buying the newest Dem op, which claims that the 100-billionaire Musk spent millions to get Trump elected so that he could raid the Social Security office and steal $700 checks from grandmas. For some reason! lol, eat a dick, Axios

Trump to rude witchface c**t Kaitlin Collins: "Excuse me, we haven't asked you to speak yet"
Update: Trump pummels a female CNN reporter who sounds like Barbra-Streisand-nosed Kaitlin Collins Her "question" -- her declaration thinly disguised as a question -- is that Russia could just withdraw its troops from Ukraine, so why do we need peace negotiations? Well, Genius, because armies that are winning do not just walk away without getting the losing army to give them something. It's so f***ing stupid. I think they're all autistic.
Maxine Waters explains why she doesn't want Musk auditing the Grifter Government: "We don't know what they have on us"
