Kerry's Ahead-- But, Sadly For Him, Not Ahead Enough, Given the 59-41 F/M SplitBut this was his best wave of the day. His best wave, and he only managed a 1-point lead in OH and FL. It's looking a lot better now. posted by Ace at 04:11 PM
CommentsAce, you say that "[T]his was [Kerry's] best wave of the day. His best wave, and he only managed a 1-point lead in OH and FL." Why is this his best wave? I thought Republicans generally vote earlier than Dems. Please post some reassuring news. :) Posted by: Mike on November 2, 2004 04:28 PM
Oh thank heavens, the incomperable Mz Moore and Mz Rosanne Barr are watching over elections. We can certainly rest easy knowing that these fat sacks of whale shit are on the scene. Posted by: Marty on November 2, 2004 04:33 PM
Simple Mike. 59-41 women to men ratio. If Kerry is only leading by 1 with that kind of ratio, methinks Bush will pull ahead. Posted by: JimBob on November 2, 2004 04:37 PM
thought Republicans generally vote earlier than Dems. Mike, I never heard that one, and a digithead blogger pours cold water over it anyway (http://jaycost.blogspot.com/)Money quote: "Another thing: Myster Pollster notes that there is no survey ever done to measure whether GOPers vote early or later." Cordially... Posted by: Rick on November 2, 2004 04:42 PM
Thanks folks. I'm pro-Bush and I voted, but I'm at least as pessimistic as Ace has been, so I need a bit of reassurance every now and then. :) Posted by: Mike on November 2, 2004 04:50 PM

Lost Seventies Mystery Click: The Darkest Song Ever Recorded?
I think Professor of Rock (on YouTube) claimed this song was so upsetting that people used to pull over to the side of the road when it came on the radio. It's about a fatal plane crash, but obviously it suggests a fatal car crash too, which could wig out a driver. It's like one of those nasty 70s anti-war body horror movies. Not for the squeamish. I'm not even going to post the lyrics because they're upsetting too.

Soft weak poop from the early 80s Mystery Click
I never liked this song, but it is memorable. In a weak, annoying way. The kid's in shock up and down the block The folks are home playing beat the clock Down at the golden cup They set the young ones up Under the neon light Selling day for night It's alright Nobody rides for free (nobody, nobody) Nobody gets it like they want it to be (nobody, nobody) Nobody hands you any guarantee (nobody, nobody) Nobody

Former CIA operative John Kiriakou talks with Matt Taibbi about the Brennan/Comey Coup
Both guys are old liberals, maybe even of the far-left variety, and both are appalled by the Democrat/Deep State coup against the US. Kiriakou says that CIA officers were legally obligated to report to the Inspector General John Brennan's repeated overruling of actual intelligence to encode his partisan conspiracy theories into US intel product, but of course they didn't.
