US Bags Senior Leader of Al Zarqawi Cell

Do not muck around with America:

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- The U.S. military has arrested a "senior leader" in the network run by Jordanian terror mastermind Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, along with five others during overnight raids in the insurgent stronghold of Fallujah, officials said Saturday.

American forces have stepped up operations in Fallujah in a bid to root out al-Zarqawi's terror group, Tawhid and Jihad, which is believed to operate from there. The group has been blamed in numerous suicide bombings and beheadings of foreign hostages, including recent twin blasts inside Baghdad's Green Zone, which houses the U.S and Iraqi leadership.

As Kausfiles noted, that LATimes "exclusive" about Bush putting off combat operations until after the elections turned out to be a true exclusive-- it appeared only in the LATimes, and apparently not in reality.

Awesome. And even better: "Intelligence sources said the man captured was previously thought to be a relatively minor member of the terror network. But because so many of al-Zarqawi's associates have been captured or killed, he moved up to take a more important role."

Not a very deep bench for Zarqawi, who's now like, "Omar? Put down that broom, son. I need a good right-hand man".

In fact, he may have jumped the Zarq.

Heh.

That gives creedence to the theory that Zarq's allegiance pledge to Bin Laden was a cry of desperation, not unification. Thanks to the dicks, they're running out of assholes to recruit, so they join forces.

Crockett addressed the possibility in an Instagram post where she said she would make a decision "depending on how many people reach out," but that her main focus has been legislating in the House of Representatives.
The post came after a poll from the National Republican Senatorial Committee was published showing that she was leading the pack of candidates with 35 percent in a hypothetical primary and was leading former Senate candidate Colin Allred, who was at 20 percent, per the Latin Times.

The Republican Senatorial Committee claims that she's ahead? LOL, that might be a little troll-poll.
