Rather DefensiveIf RatherBiased.com's back on-line, you'll enjoy this testy little exchange. A FoxReport asks Rather if he feels "duped," to which Rather shoots back-- "You work at Fox. Do you feel duped?" I don't know, Dan. FoxNews hasn't reported any forgeries as fact, and then continued to claim they were authentic in the face of overwhelming evidence. As a not-so-great man once said: "There's no need to get snippy." Update: The Daily Recycler has the video of the exchange, too. posted by Ace at 02:10 PM
CommentsIt's not even really a FoxNews reporter. He works for the local Fox affiliate. How dare a "local" reporter dare talk to a "national" one, the fool. Posted by: Joe R. the Unabrewer on September 20, 2004 02:19 PM
If you can't get to RatherBiased.com (I can't) you can check out the video at Daily Recycler... Posted by: recycler on September 20, 2004 02:31 PM
Yeah well that local Fox affiliate reporter knew just where to find Dan in Dallas. Guess he didn't get duped on that tip. Was the NBC reporter waiting on the grassy knoll? Posted by: SAS on September 20, 2004 02:34 PM
And now, a few words about Docugate: Since the "unimpeachable" has now suddenly been impeached, where's the rush to tell everyone who this rock solid source is? Come on Rather, why protect someone who obviously played you for a fool? Further, Mr. Almighty Document Man, will you be apologizing to everyone you called partisan shills, simply because they questioned the authenticity of these sham documents? That is all. "As the discussion continued, Fox News host Charlie Hurt asked Trump directly to confirm there will be no U.S. troops involved in this potential security umbrella for Ukraine. "Well, you have my assurance, and I'm president," Trump replied."

Lost Seventies Mystery Click: The Darkest Song Ever Recorded?
I think Professor of Rock (on YouTube) claimed this song was so upsetting that people used to pull over to the side of the road when it came on the radio. It's about a fatal plane crash, but obviously it suggests a fatal car crash too, which could wig out a driver. It's like one of those nasty 70s anti-war body horror movies. Not for the squeamish. I'm not even going to post the lyrics because they're upsetting too.

That theme gets me charged. Compilation of all Police Squad! openings. They're all the same except for the last few seconds where they reveal the Special Guest Star and the title(s).

I don't know why these tech monopolists spend so much money on ripoff/sequel/remake slop. I like popcorn entertainment but is it legally required to be terrible?

Soft weak poop from the early 80s Mystery Click
I never liked this song, but it is memorable. In a weak, annoying way. The kid's in shock up and down the block The folks are home playing beat the clock Down at the golden cup They set the young ones up Under the neon light Selling day for night It's alright Nobody rides for free (nobody, nobody) Nobody gets it like they want it to be (nobody, nobody) Nobody hands you any guarantee (nobody, nobody) Nobody
