Doesn't Iran get most of it's energy from oil? What would happen to their nuclear program, or their nation if . . . . say, the barrels of oil used to fuel their personal energy needs were cut off? Wouldn't that cause major damage to the high energy requirements of producing fisible material?

Maybe we should re-awaken that sabotage espionage pipeline thing we did with russia. Just use a russian agent smuggle the F'd up plans to iran. Or. Let israel destroy their refineries, their pipelines, and thier storage fields.

The hell with sanctions. Take out their decrepit oil pipeline infrastructure when we take out the nuclear reactors. Let's just be done with it.

Cripple their economy. Hunger is a great motivator for change. Just ask the French.

I guess they are americans or angels coming from heaven!! cut the crab! these type of sanctions won't have any effect on iran. it has been proven over and over again since seventy nine! by the way, it was last year that pipeline carrying oil products to arizona was closed for a few weeks leaving the entire state without gas supplies for several days. it was a fifty year old pipe!! fix your own pipes before throwing your bullshit at iran

Hossein? In 1979, the US and the Soviet Union were spending money like crazy, the US spent a lot on themselves, and a small group of others. The Soviets threw money at everyone. What is happening now with the War on Terror, is really a hold off, in many ways, to the cold war. ALL of the enemies that we face now, were allies, close allies in military and economic terms with the old soviet Union.

Now that Iran is demonstrating openly it's retarded hatred, and now that Russia wants to pretend that they are still a global player, and with Russia knowing that they have no real economic power over the world, just enough to bully a small portion of their old vassal states (ukraine) Russia might finaly wake up and realize that if they wanna grow and prosper in the current global climate, then Russia won't do what it did before. Prop up the Iranians despite it being a losing cause, just to give it to the US.

If there are sanctions by all 5 of the players, Iran will suffer greatly.
