Ah, Cardcaptors and death metal...together at last!

(As an aside, am I the only one who has some doubts as to whether those subtitles arre accurate?)

Bite your tongue. Cardcaptors is a misbegotten abortion that no one should ever watch. Instead you should watch the original, Cardcaptor Sakura, which tells an entirely different story -- and a much better one.

I don't suppose it's necessary to point out that most of the scenes in that video are not actually as presented? For instance, when Meilin has her head in Tomoyo's lap, the reason is that Meilin is sobbing her heart out. There's nothing even slightly sexual about the scene. In fact, there's damned little in the entire series which is sexual. It's not like that.

Now the manga on the other hand; CLAMP tossed in all kinds of implications of sexual relations, especially homosexual ones. But all that was toned down or eliminated outright for the TV series CardCaptor Sakura, which is superb.

Unless that involved editing/cropping that wasn't in the original. But it looks like it was in the original... I didn't notice the resolution had gotten grainier in the "humping" part, which would indicate a zoom-in crop.

And what about the panties? Just a photoshop?

Ace, a lot of the scenes in that music video are meant to suggest sex, but in context in CCS they clearly don't. For instance, the exercise sequence doesn't come off that way because we hear the gym teacher saying "One Two One Two" and because there are scenes before that showing them outside preparing for class. Anyway, the clothes they're wearing are their standard gym clothes which appear all through the series.

The video deliberately takes a lot of sequences out of context, and in some cases patches in pieces with photoshop (such as the word balloons or the pictures of panties) just to make them naughtier.

The picture of the playback on the video camera actually comes from the second episode and what was really being shown was a video Tomoyo took the night before of Sakura flying through the air with Kero-chan. It's a great scene, but there's nothing whatever suggestive about it.

I probably also should mention that a few of the images from the video didn't come from CCS at all.

The entire CCS series was 70 episodes, which has been released in North America on 18 DVDs. It's now available as two 9-DVD boxed sets, which sell for an MSRP of $100 each but whch can be gotten for cheaper than that. (I paid $90 each.) It's a good deal. (Note: there are English subtitles but there's no English dub.)
