Bush's Speech ThreadSorry for the Atrios-like effort today. Bush's speech will again argue that leaving Iraq would give a victory to Al Qaeda. The most interesting thing to me, for once, will be his delivery. Will we get more of the combative, feisty, even angry Bush we got in his last radio defense? I hope so. It's about time he started acting with the passion of a war president and with contempt for his defeatist critics. posted by Ace at 06:16 PM
CommentsThank you, Open-Thread God! Posted by: harrison on December 18, 2005 06:34 PM
Oh and btw nice scam you are taking advertising money for ACE. Buying Iraqi dinars? I think you might have some legal issues SEC, treasury etc. The site is offering 555/dinars per dollar when the most recent exchange rate is a bit below 1500/dollar. Nice scam they have going. Finance isn't your game eh? http://www.cbiraq.org/cbs6.htm exchange rate info. Posted by: on December 18, 2005 07:00 PM
I don't think Ace is going to be doing any perp walk. lol! Posted by: on December 18, 2005 07:06 PM
I always knew that Ace was just another minion in Bushco's war profiteering junta. Posted by: Tony B on December 18, 2005 07:28 PM
Impeach Ace! Posted by: John from WuzzaDem on December 18, 2005 07:30 PM
So we now know where Ace has been all weekend. He had to jet down to Grand Cayman to make a deposit in his offshore accounts with the proceeds of his ill gotten booty. No doubt Halliburton is behind the BetOnIraq site! Bwahahaha! Posted by: BrewFan on December 18, 2005 07:34 PM
Brewfan, perhaps you should rephrase "ill gotten booty". Posted by: DB on December 18, 2005 07:42 PM
Uhm, Brewfan, didn't you get the memo like the rest of us? Posted by: Sortelli on December 18, 2005 07:43 PM
Ace has a cute booty! Posted by: on December 18, 2005 08:06 PM
Ace, you forgot to sign your post. Posted by: sandy burger on December 18, 2005 08:10 PM
Sorry for the Atrios-like effort today Your worst effort is 10 times better than anything Atrios can do. Posted by: Mark on December 18, 2005 08:24 PM
Brewfan, perhaps you should rephrase "ill gotten booty". ill begotten booty? I don't do this for a living you know. Posted by: BrewFan on December 18, 2005 08:27 PM
No, it's just that that phrase could mean several things in the Ace of Spades Lifestyle. Posted by: DB on December 18, 2005 08:29 PM
If you can't say something nice about Ace's butt, don't say anything at all. Posted by: on December 18, 2005 08:30 PM
I love Brit Hume. Posted by: Lipstick on December 18, 2005 08:55 PM
it's very paced, but you're right, he's pissed. Posted by: Dave in Texas on December 18, 2005 09:07 PM
In other news... Cindy Sheehan is suffering from migranes or something. Not sure what this picture is about, to be honest. Posted by: Slublog on December 18, 2005 09:28 PM
She just read the text of the Pres' speech. Posted by: harrison on December 18, 2005 09:46 PM
I don't know. Maybe she's being attacked by invisible flying monkeys. It's just a weird picture. Posted by: Slublog on December 18, 2005 09:50 PM
Her hair doesn't look like crap for once, her nails are done, and she's in Spain for the holidays. Nothing to be too angsty about. Posted by: on December 18, 2005 09:54 PM
I'm guessing she's at a revival meeting, getting filled with the Holy Ghost and praising the name of Jesus! Or maybe its just gas. Posted by: BrewFan on December 18, 2005 09:54 PM
Her hair doesn't look like crap for once, her nails are done Josie, you must be a woman. I never would have seen that :) Posted by: BrewFan on December 18, 2005 09:57 PM
For the record, I have seen Ace's behind. Well, in jeans anyway. Um, if it wasn't for all that crazy.blog.money, Valu-Rite Vodka, Klonopin, meeting with His Highness Hugh Hewitt, and now, ill-gotten booty, I would say Ace could benefit from a few more hours on the squat rack. Of course, I could be wrong. Just sayin'. Posted by: MeTooThen on December 18, 2005 10:59 PM
First of all, look at the crap already being spewed by the MSM over the speech: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051219/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush_analysis Secondly, as for Sheehan, I think all of 100 people showed up at the anti-American rally she held in Spain. Now we know who the Spanish Kossacks are. Posted by: eddiebear on December 18, 2005 11:10 PM
Is anyone, by any chance, watching this "Winning in Iraq" or whatever on Fox right now? I'm sure it's a rerun, but it's pretty interesting. He's talking about reality shows in Iraq, at this particular moment. Posted by: Dave S on December 18, 2005 11:35 PM
OT: An interesting idea for a press conference. http://www.blackfive.net/main/2005/12/white_house_pre.html Posted by: Matt on December 19, 2005 10:07 AM
GWB is looking very good at his press conference. Mr. Bush is stopping short of the word "treason" to describe the leakers and the media, but the implication is clear. Posted by: Bart on December 19, 2005 11:26 AM
If you are going to refer to possibly illegitimate financial transactions you should phrase it "ill booten GOTTI" Posted by: rls on December 19, 2005 12:00 PM
Dave at Garfield Ridge is presently running a caption contest on that Cindy picture, BTW. I believe my entry is a contender. Posted by: Michael on December 19, 2005 05:49 PM
Wait. Sorry sorry sorry. Umpteen blogs have that pic, but the contest I was thinking of is being run by Stephen at Politburo Diktat. Posted by: Michael on December 19, 2005 05:52 PM
Oh. I went to Garfield's blog and posted my entry on the GWB pic. Good going. Add "genius" to the littany of insults we hurl at you, Michael, here at AoS. Posted by: Bart on December 19, 2005 06:00 PM
Well, screw Dave, just post the same gag at the Commissar's place. There doesn't seem to be a lot of overlap between their readers anyway. I did more or less the same fart joke at Politburo Diktat and Wuzzadem. Posted by: Michael on December 19, 2005 06:14 PM

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals. The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite. Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
