Hollywood is like the MSM. They are willing to commit financial suicide to propagandize their distorted view of reality.

I still can't believe they actually named the gay "cowboy" movie, Bareback Mountain.

But...Tammy leaves out that a lot of these movies are indie flicks, not funded by Hollywood studios, but by Hollywood celebrity directors/producers as vanity preach-to-the-choir pieces. But celebrity isn't enough to get a lot of people into theatres.

The "event" movies, like Revenge of the Sith, Harry P, Narnia did and are doing quite well.

It's not as if these films are hard hitting exposes the public needs to see. They're drivel, are disconnected from reality warmed over lliberal propaganda proven false many years ago.

Scary thing? People with lots of money and a leftwing agenda are funding them. Money is no object, so they'll keep making them and they'll continue to get prizes and the media will continue to praise them even if the public ignores them.

I mean, I can understand them getting so lonely they turn to gay sex if they're cowboys... Cause nobody wants to have sex with a cow.

The Hollywood studios own the "indy" studios. Nothing independent about it.

DVDs. The reason people aren't shelling out $10 per person to go to a theater is because we can watch them on our large (relative to years passed) screen tvs with wonderful picture quality (relative) at whatever time we want, and we don't have to shell out another $6 for a coke and $10 for popcorn, nor do we have to put up with screaming babies/teenagers or cell phones ringing. And we can watch them in the comfort of our homes for about $5.

A movie theater is still the best place to see some movies -- studio blockbusters with giant special effects -- but there's little reason anymore to spend 3 times the money to see an indy flick that feels pretty much the same on my tv as in the theater.

Becuase hollywood has resorted to remaking old classics like KING KONG and WAR OF THE WORLDS and WILLIE WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY i think it would be better if you went to see the offerings from DISNEY at least CHICKEN LITTLE and VALIANT are not remakes

I finally saw War of the Worlds last night. It sucked. Even the little girl was annoying.

Brokeback Mountain.......where men are men and the sheep are.......wary.

Anyone who spends the time reading the Bruce article and recalls the major movies released this year can see that she is wrong.

That said, she lost me with her comments regarding "History of Violence"; an awesome film which certainly didn't have the message Bruce attributes to it.

But she was dead on about Good Night and Good Luck.

Other than Ms. Bruce...it's quickly becoming apparent that I'm the only other living self-loathing conservative lesbian on the planet.
