NBCNews Suggests Bush Lives in "Bubble" of Like-Minded Opinion

As Cal from the Perfect World is fond of saying, "A gallon of irony spilled and not a drop splashed on them."

In related news from the World of Sport, Rubber has defeated Glue by the score of 1 to nil. Rubber's bend-but-don't-break defense is credited for the win, described as "flexible" yet "resilient."

Here's the cover story in the new issue of Newsweek.

Fancy that.

So this is the new Democrat meme, I guess.

How long until they call him 'Bubble Boy' Bush?

On tomorrow's NBC Nightly News: populated areas discovered between east, west coasts. "Who knew?" reporters ask.

Leave it to NBC to publish this crap during the very week when all their dearest hopes about failure in Iraq are being smashed.

Even the BBC today, writing about the new poll of Iraqis, concludes, "The findings are in line with the kind of arguments currently being deployed by President George W Bush".

Even the BBC!

But what does NBC, home of dimbulb Ramsey Clarke felatiatrix Katie Couric, do?

They freakin double down!

You can't make it up.

Don't they know that the House always wins, especially when the dealer is W (and he's got Cheney's penis riding shotgun)?

I read the first part of the article Allah linked, and had two thoughts.

One, Murtha sounds like a crybaby--"If they talked to people, they wouldn't get these outbursts. If they'd talked to me, it wouldn't have happened."

Two, I'm too lazy to look it up, but based on the article Murtha is in at least his 8th term. Doesn't that ever strike anyone as too much?

One, Murtha sounds like a crybaby--"If they talked to people, they wouldn't get these outbursts. If they'd talked to me, it wouldn't have happened."

Translation: He didn't talk to me, one of the most respected blah blah blather wa wa.

Please spare me, Congressman. Your opinion has never been valid. Thanks for your service. That does not qualify you to climb out of the idiot basket.

NBCNews more bull from that makers of it all

Brian Williams is quickly pulling an Olbermann- start off like a reasonable guy for the first couple of months then hit the hard left button.
NBC is quickly challenging CNN as the most insidious "agenda network" out there.
The fact Williams can't understand the sick irony of his question is all you need to know about these pompous asses.

Anyone notice the caption on the story Allah linked? "On Message: Bush often speaks before pre-screened crowds, with signs stressing his theme"

Yeah, that evil bastard, doing what pretty much every president in the modern media age has done.

Cripes almighty how damned stupid do they think we are?

Posted by: Slublog on December 13, 2005 09:33 AM

I guess Newsweek hasn't heard what John Gaddis had to say about the alleged Bubble Boy, this is a great speech:

"But the President said: “Sit down. Loved your book. Tell me more about Bismarck.”

There followed a twenty minute conversation with Bush asking all the questions. After which we found, cooling their heels outside, Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, Under-Secretary of Defense Wolfowitz, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Myers. “This is Professor Gaddis,” the President said, waving the book at them. “I want you all to read his book.”

Thanks to Drudge, but it seems that Newsweek is also trashing GOP-killer Woodward. Some of us predicted this a few weeks ago when Woodward had the audacity to not have supported the Plame Myth. I guess its a crime to bust the bubble that the MSM creates.

Posted by: joeindc44 on December 13, 2005 10:01 AM

Okay, full disclosure: I am in sales.

Now, my point: The Dems REALLY need to take an objective look at their language. Their language is pure LOSER. All this complaining about bubbles, and compromise, about not listening. The only people that resonates with are people that POSITIVELY RESPOND to loser talk.

Good lord, I feel like I could make a million dollars consulting with the Dems about how to friggin' TALK to people. For a party so concered with public relations they sure don't seem to have clue one about how to sell ideas.

Or maybe the product is crap :)

Posted by: tachyonshuggy on December 13, 2005 11:59 AM

Tachy,

The thing about the dems is that you could make a million dollars off of them. They are rich and dumb.

I briefly considered creating my own 527 catering to the rich and insane.

Posted by: joeindc44 on December 13, 2005 12:23 PM

Let me get this straight. Newsweek, the MSM of the MSM, says GW is a "Bubble Boy", insulated from everyone? When's the last time anyone in the MSM, print or broadcast, actually listened to what Joe America was saying? I mean, sure, they hear the words, but when was the last time those words meant anything besides wasting the reporters' time?

If one wishes to see what one looks like, look at one's accusations. More often than not, they are an accurate reflection of one's heart and mind.

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.
The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite.
Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
