I love to hate John Kerry as much as anybody else but this "terrorizing kids" thing is being taken to Moorish territory. You would have to be an idiot not to understand that raiding homes is going to scare families. Kerry is not calling soldiers terrorists and if right wingers try to spin it that way it is going to blow up in their face.

What he actually meant, though, is still pretty reprehensible. We're trying to win a war. And by "we", I mean the US military and the people of Iraq. John Kerry is disparaging our troops' efforts to be as effective and compassionate as is humanly possible in the circumstances. He's painting our troops in an unfair negative light for partisan advantage back home. That's inexcusable, and he deserves to be called on it.

But yeah, right-wingers should be less sloppy in their criticisms.

I just watched the ad. In my opinion, it does not imply that Kerry was calling out troops terrorists; it implies that Kerry is defeatist. Which he is.

Yes indeed. I see very few people in the MSM mention that the soldiers who must do these raids make sure that the families get compensated for their troubles.
