Joe Lieberman For SecDef?

Apparently he was considered for UN Ambassador last year, but was rejected after extensive vetting revealed he did not, in fact, have a moustache.

Continuing the theme of the day: Study Shows More Men Think It's Funny To Call Their Moustaches "Flavor-Savers" Than Women Do.

So what do women usually call their mustaches?

Hey Ace, if you ever read your email you would have known about this 4 days ago. Andrew Sullivan mentioned it on the Chris Matthews Show last Sunday and being a loyal Ace reader I sent you a link that quoted him.

Sorry, but the last think I want is a bi-partisan cabinet. I no longer trust any dems.

The rumor's an old one-- there's *always* a rumor that the Boss is leaving/retiring/blaming the death of his mistress on a a Russian spy-- but it made the rounds again today at work based on the Drudge link. I had lunch with a friend on the Joint Staff (giggle), and she basically laughed it off.

Then she prattled on about how no men in her off look like Benjamin Bratt.

But plenty of Pentagon *women* unfortunately look like Dennis Hopper, in my experience.

Cheers,
Dave at Garfield Ridge

At first I was completely against the idea, but it would be nice to watch the Democrats go after one of their own. I'm sure the anti-semite far left would be all over his butt about 2 minutes after his appointment.

Turn on C-Span NOW!
Check out the Howard Dean poster.

Posted by: Bart on December 8, 2005 06:49 PM

Too late on the C-Span thing. Rep. King from Iowa spoke eloquently on the subterfuge of the Dems.

Joe Lieberman for SecDef?
No fucking way.

Posted by: Bart on December 8, 2005 06:55 PM

King. I like the guy. He takes a whole raft of shit from the wackos out here, but Western Iowa is pretty freakin' conservative, so he's got a safe seat. The Des Moines Register absofreakinlutely hates the guy, but they endorsed him in '04. King must have had pictures of the editorial board blowing a horse.

Posted by: Russ from Winterset on December 8, 2005 07:01 PM

Did you anyone see the poster of Howard Dean on the easel while King spoke?

It was a still of Howard Dean's infamous Yeeeeeearrrgh! moment in Iowa.
It was a good slam. By House Republican standard, it was a great slam.

Ha!

Dave, what's your insiders' view on the Barnett article?

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.
The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite.
Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.

Oof. Reviewers do not like Scary Movie 6. The criticism I keep hearing is that the movie mistakes a reference for an actual joke. The movie (they say) keeps Key Jangling a reference to another movie (or some other pop culture ephemera) and you expect there to be a joke but nope, the Key Jangle was the joke. Other reviewers say that the promise that "no lines will be uncrossed" is a fake-out, and that the movie is bland and inoffensively corporate.
