Democrats Fret "Preemptive Surrender" Policy Makes Them Look WeakIn related news, Courtney Love worries that her heroin & whore act makes her look "trashy." Cute comparison of Howard Dean's "We're doomed" comments and Al-Zarqawi's similar comments. Except Zarqawi was talking about the eventual doom of Al Qaeda in Iraq. posted by Ace at 06:14 PM
CommentsWe are at war - mistakes will be made, people will be killed, the enemy will sometimes outsmart us, etc. I find this whole expectation that we should never suffer setbacks or make mistakes very annoying. I remember reading how during the Guadalcanal campaign Nimitz would constantly remind his gloomy subordinates that the enemy was suffereing and losing ships also. In his memoirs, Grant (when he was just a militia colonel) wrote about leading a regiment to attack a Confederate camp. He was scared and kept imagining everything that could go wrong. He was outnumbered, it was a trap, etc. He got to the camp and the Confederates had run away. He used that to remind himself that the enemy is also scared and also screws up. I forget which general said that you can not judge a battle by the rear area of your own army. There will always be wounded, confusion, people running away, etc. The media coverage now does this. For those who love America's enemies (Dean, Kennedy, Schumer, Reid, Pelosi, Moore, Turner, Etc., etc., etc.) and hate America (the same ones or their ilk that thought Uncle Joe was an o.k. guy, that Ho Chi Mihn was misunderstood, etc., etc., etc.), surrender is not an option, it's the only way. They not only think this country is just like all the others, they refuse to even consider that there is something great about it. Right now, 64 years ago today, 98 years ago when we were saving France's butt the first time, 229 years ago. It, to them, is nothing special. They all ought to pack up, go where they think the country is special, and take their millions that they got from the sweat of other peoples' brows (why do they hate capitalism? It made them rich enough to be pigs). That way, those of us who do think this country is special can work to make it even greater than it already is. Posted by: Carlos on December 7, 2005 08:21 PM
Carlos you stupid fuck, why don't you shut your face before you make an even bigger fool of yourself. Did you not get an education or are you just naturally stupid? Posted by: Sortelli on December 7, 2005 10:06 PM

Sortelli: Bein's how Ah'm jist a dum cuntry boy and yur a rele sity slickr, maybe yu kin tell me where Ah'm rong ther? Do Kennedy, Reid et al (see? Fancy ferrin werds!) not consider this country as jist one of a bunch on this planet? Didn't the "progressives" of the earlier yeres think Uncle Joe was an o.k. guy, an' Pol Pot, an' Ho, an' Mao? Mebbe Ah was a bit over the top invitin' them to leave, but gosh dangit, it's frustratin' dealin' with fools who cain't see the truth if it's bashin' in their noses, people like yu. Shur hope when it's all over yure one of the "more equal then the others", cuz yu obviously no whut's better fer the rest of us mor'n we duz. Posted by: Carlos on December 8, 2005 11:41 AM
Carlos, that wasn't really Sortelli. It was a troll pretending to be Sortelli. Check the email address. The faint smell of Mountain Dew and stale Pop-Tarts indicates the presence of Proud Liberal Vet. Posted by: AoSHQ Troll Detector on December 8, 2005 11:47 AM
At least he didn't duplicate the email address this time. You can still tell that its him, but its more of a banning offense. Posted by: lauraw on December 8, 2005 11:57 AM

Cain't say it makes a whole lotta difrence - Ah'm still jist a dumb cuntry boy thet never haid no larnin'. Mebbe. It always amazes me how intellectually superior the libs are to us dumb folk. And they can't even figure out the real reason the Twin towers were bombed, why Pearl Harbor was attacked, or why Genghis Khan ran roughshod over Asia! Like when Bubba was sayin' "It's the economy, stupid", all I got to say is, "It's human nature, stupid". Posted by: Carlos on December 8, 2005 07:00 PM

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals. The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite. Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.

Oof. Reviewers do not like Scary Movie 6. The criticism I keep hearing is that the movie mistakes a reference for an actual joke. The movie (they say) keeps Key Jangling a reference to another movie (or some other pop culture ephemera) and you expect there to be a joke but nope, the Key Jangle was the joke. Other reviewers say that the promise that "no lines will be uncrossed" is a fake-out, and that the movie is bland and inoffensively corporate.
