Well, if you feel like it. I'm not the boss of you or anything.

how in the world am I the first person to post something here? huh.

anyways, vote for me, too!

please?

Posted by: MacStansbury on December 7, 2005 03:29 AM

Ahem. Can I get a crumb? The Top 250?

All my competitors are a bunch of slack-jawed booger-eaters who kill puppies and kittens, make babies cry, and hate their mothers. And love Osama bin Laden. And gerbils. If you know what I mean.
Besides, I'm getting desperate to not be humiliated and I'm about to start playing dirty tricks on them. (Photoshop is my friend, sorta. My handicapped friend.)

Posted by: Beth on December 7, 2005 03:29 AM

Beth, we need to stop meeting like this

Posted by: MacStansbury on December 7, 2005 03:30 AM

Quit stalking me!

Posted by: Beth on December 7, 2005 03:43 AM

I just noticed I have 5 different tabs open with varying pages from these two threads.

why, for the love of shrimp, am I still awake?

Posted by: MacStansbury on December 7, 2005 03:45 AM

I vote from home and from work every day. So count on me for 18 votes.

Posted by: Chequers. on December 7, 2005 05:07 AM

your doing pretty well on there Ace....looks like that automatic voting software I'm using is pretty effective.

Posted by: Joe on December 7, 2005 07:51 AM

If you vote for Ace, he'll thank you personally.

Posted by: spongeworthy on December 7, 2005 08:41 AM

If you vote for Ace, he'll thank you personally.

Ouch. Not nice, sponge.

Funny, though.

Posted by: Slublog on December 7, 2005 08:44 AM

funny

heh. yeah it was. that and the stuff about gerbils. and stalking.

jeez this is a weird thread.

Posted by: Dave in Texas on December 7, 2005 09:00 AM

I'm not completely "in" with all of this "blog" "stuff", but someone explain to me why Jesus' General has over 2000 votes for funniest blog, outpacing blogs like IMAO or Iowahawk.

I went there, I trolled. The posts are just snarky, obscure, 'all Christians are sexual deviants' remarks, and the commentors are beyond description. I would've kept trolling, but it was just so painful to scroll through the comments, people faking southern accents and praising Jay-sus, etc.

I'm trying to be impartial, but there's just nothing funny there, and I think they are somehow cheating. Is that possible?

Posted by: adolfo velasquez on December 7, 2005 09:34 AM

I AM THE BEST OF THE TOP 3501-5000 BLOGS!

I HAVE A THOUSAND YEARS OF POWER!

I HAVE MY CAPS LOCK ON!

CHEERS,
DAVE AT GARFIELD RIDGE

P.S. Yeah, please vote for me. I'm a needy bastard who needs the affirmation of total strangers stupid enough to enjoy my crappy blog.

Posted by: Dave at Garfield Ridge on December 7, 2005 09:45 AM

Rumor has it, that Jesus blog is HIL-AR-IOUS to the liberal crowd, and gets linked by some of the biggies.

Posted by: carin on December 7, 2005 09:45 AM

It's entirely possible. You could program a bot to vote for you. Of course, given that Atrios is able to get 9 gazillion comments on each of seven open threads per day, maybe it's possible the blog really is getting all of those votes.

Posted by carin at December 7, 2005 09:45 AM

But how? I can laugh at funny left stuff, The Daily Show, SNL, Simpsons (less often than I used to), but JG just isn't.

I've completely lost faith in the Weblog awards and, without that, what do I have?

Posted by: adolfo velasquez on December 7, 2005 09:47 AM

DAVE I VOTED FOR YOU.

WHERE'S THE MONEY YOU PROMISED?

Posted by: Slublog on December 7, 2005 09:50 AM

Well, I can't even beg on my own blog since I am pausing to do holiday things!!!! Please guys! Go vote for me in the 1000-1750 category. I have ALMOST caught up with the teenagers who are ahead.

We grownups CAN NOT LET THEM WIN!!!

Show some love for Rightwingsparkle!!!(vote every day too!)

Ace,

Of course I voted for you!

Posted by: Rightwingsparkle on December 7, 2005 10:25 AM

Slublog--

Your money's on the dresser, chocolate.

Cheers,
Dave at Garfield Ridge

Posted by: Dave at Garfield Ridge on December 7, 2005 10:31 AM

Sweeet.

Thanks, sugar daddy.

Posted by: Slublog on December 7, 2005 10:37 AM

I don't get the "thank you personally" insult.

Please explain.

Posted by: Rightwingsparkle on December 7, 2005 10:43 AM

Have you ever been in a situation where you’ve competed with other bloggers over reader's votes?

Dave – “No. I’ve never had much competition. I remember girls competing over me, which was very exciting, to say the least. Except one had a hump and the other, with whom I ended up, was an ungodly squirter. I could never tell if she was coming or going. More likely the latter, seeing how I’ve never been able to satisfy a woman. Or a man for that matter. But hey! Doesn’t matter, as long as I get those votes full of aggrandizing bloggy goodness.”

Ace - "This life is a crazy one, and I get a lot of attention, and I get pressure from a lot of people, especially shemales, who don’t understand. For me, it’s about staying patient and being who I am. I’m sorry, what was the question again?”

I voted for both you dorks and will continue to do so. Not because I placate. I don’t. I tell it straight up. I love you guys. Much in the same way a starving gerbil loves the piece of peanut it finds in Richard Gere’s colon.

Posted by: compos mentis on December 7, 2005 10:48 AM

I believe the lad is taking a pot shot at ace for being tardy with the thank you email to those who contributed funds a few weeks ago.

Posted by: Dave in Texas on December 7, 2005 10:48 AM

RWS - I voted for you as well you sweet angel and will do so again in 24 hours.

Posted by: compos mentis on December 7, 2005 10:54 AM

"I love you guys. Much in the same way a starving gerbil loves the piece of peanut it finds in Richard Gere’s colon."

Compos, your way with words leaves me revolted and nauseous.

Bravo, good sir. Bravo.

Cheers,
Dave at Garfield Ridge

Posted by: Dave at Garfield Ridge on December 7, 2005 11:05 AM

RWS-I voted for you as well you sweet angel and will do so again in 24 hours.

Actually Dave, I rather love compos's way with words.

Posted by: Rightwingsparkle on December 7, 2005 11:10 AM

revolted and nauseous

You know, I hate it when those pussies at Webster's just give up and say "that word means whatever the hell people think it means".

They threw in the towel on irregardless too. Wimps.

is this nit-picking? am I killing this thread? I'll just go vote.

Posted by: Dave in Texas on December 7, 2005 11:25 AM

Hey, I'm with you Dave, irregardless of what you write.

Posted by: Dave at Garfield Ridge on December 7, 2005 11:31 AM

Yes, Dave, I love it when people announce that they cause others to be nauseated. Makes me giggle.

Some standards please, dictionary people!!

Posted by: Lipstick on December 7, 2005 12:02 PM

You could be more sympathetic, Lipstick. Dave always gets a little nauseous when he feels his period coming on.

BTW, Dave, you got my vote. I kid because I love.

Posted by: utron on December 7, 2005 12:09 PM

I voted for all you needy bastards. All you have to do is ask, much like my dating policy.

Posted by: JackStraw on December 7, 2005 12:17 PM

Awwwww, now you've done it.

Irregardless is not a word, regardless of what the dictionary says.

And I couldn't care less what you say to that.

DDG (who could care less, but is taking some poetic license, like the Patriot, or Reuters)

Posted by: Dee Da Go on December 7, 2005 12:20 PM

I'm voting for you too, Dave. And RWS. And Ace.

Posted by: Michael on December 7, 2005 12:28 PM

The libs are pulling the same shit as they did last year. Did you see how many votes the Lefty blogs are pulling in?

Fucking cheaters.

Posted by: Bart on December 7, 2005 12:33 PM

If there were a "funniest commenter" category, compos mentis' jaw-dropper in this thread would earn him my vote.

Posted by: someone on December 7, 2005 12:41 PM

I voted for Dave in Garfield, but I didn't know that Feisty was in the same category.

Now I'm torn

between

two

lovers

feeling like

a fool.

P.S. Not 100% sure that Feisty is not a man.

Posted by: Bart on December 7, 2005 12:50 PM

The Top 501-1000 category is dominated by two left-wing blogs. Annoying.

Posted by: Will Franklin on December 7, 2005 12:51 PM

I voted for Dave in Garfield

It's Dave AT Garfield.

"IN" would hint at committment, and Dave just doesn't roll like that.

He's a love 'em and leave 'em kind of guy.

Just like Klein.

Posted by: Slublog on December 7, 2005 12:55 PM

Yes, it seems in some categories where there are many excellent rightwing or right of center blogs, there is only one liberal blog. (thus showing balance, don't cha know) and since that is the case, our votes are split and theirs are not.

Same thing happened to me for homecoming queen in high school. 3 cheerleaders and one band nerd.

Life is never fair.

;-)

Posted by: Rightwingsparkle on December 7, 2005 12:55 PM

You already got my vote for today, Sparkles. Don't pander.

Posted by: Bart in Chair on December 7, 2005 01:03 PM

Bart,

pan-der- intr.v.

1. To act as a go between or liason in sexual intrigues; function as a procurer.

Excuse me????? I am not a matchmaker. Don't ask me to be. Not even for a vote.

;-)

Posted by: Rightwingsparkle on December 7, 2005 01:22 PM

Hey, band geeks need attention, too.

Posted by: Slublog on December 7, 2005 01:23 PM

Looks like your building a nice little lead there Ace. Good luck! ps I was the 666th vote, am in trouble now?

Posted by: rakmjn1 on December 7, 2005 01:39 PM

You've got my daily vote, oh Emperor of the Internets. Now, return the favor and vote for me in the 251-500 ghetto.

Posted by: Nickie Goomba on December 7, 2005 01:54 PM

But you are bossy. Which is why you are going to hell.

Posted by: chickpea on December 7, 2005 01:58 PM

I was totally kidding about the homecoming queen thing btw.

I actually graduated high school at 16. (skipped my senior year) It was a formerly all black inner city school in Mississippi as well.

Posted by: Rightwingsparkle on December 7, 2005 02:04 PM

Wait a sec there RWS. Do I detect a Steve Martin skit coming up? "I was born a poor black child . . ."

Posted by: compos mentis on December 7, 2005 02:32 PM

Was that "The Jerk?"...Heh.

Nah. I was just part of the great civil rights experiment in the 60's and 70's.

It's not quite worked out the way we had hoped. Except for the opportunity part.

Posted by: Rightwingsparkle on December 7, 2005 02:38 PM

I am a mere 18 votes from being ahead at the Weblogs. Come on guys!!!

Please!

Posted by: Rightwingsparkle on December 7, 2005 02:43 PM

A two-piece swimsuit can attract a lot voters.

I'm just sayin'...

Posted by: Bart on December 7, 2005 02:48 PM

P.S. Not 100% sure that Feisty is not a man.

As it's been said a million times, all women on the Internet are men. So yes, she is a man. That's how she knows all of the dirty things you want to hear.

Posted by: Sue Dohnim on December 7, 2005 03:25 PM

P.S. Not 100% sure that Feisty is not a man.

I thought she was a man at first too, but she's not. Someone who knows FOR SURE told me. (I've got all the dirt on everyone...muahahaha!)

(Which is why you should vote for me, BTW. "Or else.")

Posted by: Beth on December 7, 2005 07:33 PM

Ah, fuckit. Don't waste your vote in the Top 250 category. Vote for Belmont or Vodkapundit there and don't let that asscrumb FireDogWhatever win it.

Has anyone noticed how many votes the leftards have in all the categories compared with the number of votes cast in the "Liberal" (illiberal) category? Either they're not voting in that one, or they're a bunch of cheating fucks. And this year, they won't advertise it at Kos.

Unlike this Moby dick:
your doing pretty well on there Ace....looks like that automatic voting software I'm using is pretty effective.
Posted by: Joe on December 7, 2005 07:51 AM

Nice try, asshole.

Posted by: Beth on December 7, 2005 07:41 PM

P.S. Not 100% sure that Feisty is not a man.

I'm not sure Ace is a man. What kind of man uses the nickname "Snuggles"? He must be new to the INTERNET or something.

Posted by: on December 7, 2005 07:48 PM

Ace, are you going to bump this up so we don't forget to vote?

Well, actually, the truth is I think we can see some booby in exchange for some votes. I know RWSparkle is ready to show a litttle skin. Feisty can prove she's a girl. And Beth is just horny, so she's up for it.

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.

Oof. Reviewers do not like Scary Movie 6. The criticism I keep hearing is that the movie mistakes a reference for an actual joke. The movie (they say) keeps Key Jangling a reference to another movie (or some other pop culture ephemera) and you expect there to be a joke but nope, the Key Jangle was the joke. Other reviewers say that the promise that "no lines will be uncrossed" is a fake-out, and that the movie is bland and inoffensively corporate.
