So, Kennedy can call Iraq a deadly quicksand type of quagmire not seen since his brother was president, days before an Iraqi election. Durbin pointing out we are like nazis. And Murtha telling us the army is about ready to be pushed into the ocean.

One needs only to pont out the eerie parallels between the DNC talking points and the statements issued by al-Quaeda, al-Quaeda sympathizers, Saddam Hussein.

Bin Laden says the American presence in the Middle East is the cause of terrorism.
Democrats also say America is creating terrorists by being in the Middle East.

Al Quaeda demands American troops withdraw immediately. Democrats demand immediate troop withdrawal.

Saddam calls the US invaders for oil.
Democrats (Kennedy) call the US invaders for oil.

Saddam said the invasion was for Israel's zionistic interest.
Cindy Sheehan says the invasion was for Israel.

Bin Laden accuses the US for imperialism.
The lefty-libs accuse the US for imperialism.

There's loads more examples of the uncanny points of agreement and parroting between the Left and the Islamofacists. The asshole from Venezuela is getting in on the act. Pat Robertson was right, that man needs to be taken out. I'm not worried about his dissenting views, I'm worried about his rabble-rousing and am insulted by his disrespect. He needs an ass-kicking.

I agree with everything you're saying. Why can't liberals realize the stakes? This is an existential struggle. I really, truly wouldn't care if a democrat were prosecuting this war effectively - of course we know the left can't say the same.

You forget to mention an uncomfortable fact, the MSM get to define what "winning" means. If we have not turned Iraq into Laguna Beach in the next two years, with less corruption and hanky-panky in govt than Iceland, all we will hear about is how we are abandoning the country to a fate worst than Saddam. MoDo in the NYT has already started that meme with her tearjerkers about how women had more rights in the good ol' days, when they were hunded down by Uday.

Anyone who thinks, as topcat does, that the mainstream media (MSM) get to define what "winning means," has drunk the Bill Clinton Koolaid and does not even know what the word "is" is. The MSM is not qualified to define anything for the American public.... or to establish any litmus test for what constitutes winning the war.

All the MSM is capable of anymore is defining journalism ethics and reportage down to a common denominator of anti-war, anti-troops yellow journalism.

My apologies. Now, I'll go and scrape the egg off my face.
