ABCNews Reporter: Black Conspiracy Mongering About Blowing Up Levees in NO a "Reasonable Theory"

Pure racism.

No, I don't mean the anti-white bigotry of Spike Lee. Who gives a shit.

I mean the ineffable condescension and embarassing patronization of white people who hear a black person saying something so fucking jackass and feel the need to treat them as either children or retards by saying, "Why, yes, that's a cute little idea you have there, Scamp."

Again: this "honest discussion about race in this country" the liberal media and lefties are always talking about must procede with honesty in both directions. And that means that, yes, once in a while a white liberal might have to dare to disagree with a black person.

To his face.

Imagine such a thing! Treating black people as equal adult citizens whose most idiotic notions should be branded as such.

And maybe black people with more "reasonable theories" than Spike Lee has could be a little more forceful about telling him he's a moron.

Barbershop was a cute little movie, but it did big business because of that one ad where Cedric the Entertainer basically said a bunch of things that black people privately knew (to wit, OJ was guilty as sin, and, illegal or not, Rodney King deseved a few smacks in the head) but were afraid to say out of a misguided sense of racial solidarity.

Racial correctness-- it's got to go too, if we're to have this "honest discussion" that everyone claims to want. It makes it hard to have "honest discussions" when some are parrotting racially correct jackassery.

Thanks to Allah.

Just Curious: Did anyone else try watching Bamboozled, just to see if you could get through it?

I failed myself.

Didn't even try.

I didn't want to be a quitter.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

That film director knows exactly what he is doing. How far can he pull the string before someone snips it. Cause like you say, tolerating madness is also a sign of racism. Even he must be surprised.

Posted by: slickdpdx on October 25, 2005 10:18 PM

I never saw that Ad with Cedric. Does anybody have a link to it?

Posted by: Xoxotl on October 25, 2005 10:25 PM

The Spike Lee Crawfish:

1) "it's not far-fetched"
2) "it certainly could be not far-fetched"
3) "here's something irrelevant that is true, so why can't this be true as well?"
4) "I just think we should have frank discussions about this"
5) "come see my movie based on this theory--it's not far-fetched at all!"

Fuck that racist dwarf.

Completely unrelated: from the Filthy Critic's review of Stay

Stay was directed by Marc Forster, who also directed the Finding Neverland and Monster's Ball. I imagine he must have earned some moviemaking capital and goodwill thanks to the those two movies. And this is how he's chosen to spend it. This is Marc Forster's Harriet Miers, a narrow-minded fuckup on a scale so grand it makes even your most rabid fans wonder if you've been retarded all along.

That is teh funy.

Nope. I like watching movies. Lee makes something called "joints."

Good post, Ace.

I live near the St. Joseph, MI / Benton Harbor, MI area. A few years back, a black kid was found drowned in the river the separates the two towns. The kid had last been seen breaking into somebody's car in St. Joseph (the mostly white town). He ran and nobody heard from him until he turned up in the river.

The reaction of the (mostly white) people in St. Joseph was the kid surely panicked, tried to swim the river so he could get across unseen (there are only two bridges in the area and he was on foot), and drowned. There is actually quite a history of drowning deaths in the river because it looks very swimmable but has a nasty undercurrent, so this seemed to just be the last example of someone underestimating it.

The reaction of the (mostly black) people in Benton Harbor? HE WAS LYNCHED. Dozens of theories about why he was lynched, and dozens of theories about how he was lynched. Sure, they couldn't all be true, and most of them didn't jibe with the facts, but, damn it, he was LYNCHED.

A guy actually wrote a book about the situation (see here). He of course explored it as two different cultures that don't understand each other, yada yada yada. It wasn't that bad of a book, and it was interesting since it is about the area where I live, but the "evenhanded" approach was somewhat ridiculous at times. The SJ side couldn't say for sure what happened but the facts seem to point to a simple story of someone foolishlessly trying to swim the river. The BH side was sure of what happened, facts be damned, and the contradictory rumors swirled like crazy. Here's a typical one: Someone told the author that they knew he was lynched because he had rope marks on his neck that were still visible at the funeral. The only problem is that the funeral was closed-casket. Well, OK, they didn't see it themselves, but they were told it by someone who was at the funeral, so they must have somehow seen it. And, of course, the evil white cops ignored the rope marks on his neck because they were part of the anti-black plot. Etc., etc.

Yes, it's past time to quit tolerating such delusional thinking. It is patronizing in the most insulting way to not expect more when someone is making a serious claim.

Posted by: Craiggers on October 25, 2005 11:12 PM

I, too think it was a shame that Michel Martin made the "reasonable theory" remark. Nor do I disagree with the following:

I mean the ineffable condescension and embarassing patronization of white people who hear a black person saying something so fucking jackass and feel the need to treat them as either children or retards by saying, "Why, yes, that's a cute little idea you have there, Scamp."

But there's only one problem in this instance...Michel Martin is black, too.

Posted by: Sean M. on October 25, 2005 11:17 PM

Nice idea Ace. Too bad it will never happen. Here's why: This subtle racism is too beneficial to both white liberals and black racial activists (read race pimps) to give up. White liberals neatly relieve themselves of whatever guilt they feel (and the need to actually inconvenience themselves - how many white liberal college professers will give up their tenured positions for a black professor to take their place?)

And black racial "experts" like Jesse Jackson use racism as a club to obtain benefits they could never earn any other way. It's win-win for them, but terrible for the country. Black people develop a mindset of victimization, and white people are developing a mindset of resentment. The racial pimps (white and black) are playing with matches in a fireworks factory and have been VERY lucky - so far.

Bamboozled is on my movies I will never see list.

Spike Lee is huge basketball fan. Remember when Spike called Larry Bird the ugliest white man?
That Spike sure is a great guy.

Remember when Malcolm X came out in theatres? (Another movie I haven't seen) .The baseball cap with the "X" on it was a popular item. There was a comedian, I forget which one, who had a good one liner when someone asked him if he had seen Malcolm X. The comic replied, "No, but I read the hat."

Posted by: Bart on October 25, 2005 11:45 PM

Actually, Malcolm X was a pretty good movie.

(Well, it was when I didn't know squat about Islam.)

Posted by: someone on October 25, 2005 11:57 PM

Actually, "Bamboozled" isn't that bad, as long as you can stomach the goshawful nasality of Damon Wayans' speaking cadence for the movie. I avoided it like the rest of you because I figured it for another cheap anti-white polemic, but it manages to indict just about everybody under the sun. There's the obvious stuff about white people exploiting people and Wayans' character being an overt Uncle Tom, but there's some more subtle business too about blacks letting themselves be exploited. And when we finally meet Pierre/Peerless' father, it's no wonder he's turned out to be such a fucked up adult, since his dad is an out-and-out racist whose idea of social criticism is to make crude and unclever jokes about how much he hates white people.

There is also an undercurrent, whether conscious or not, comparing black minstrel shows of the past with contemporary hip-hop culture. The gangsta rappers in the movie come off as no less a caricature than do Mantan and Sleep 'n Eat.

But, like all Spike Lee movies, it's overlong and meanders all over the place at times. Still, a strong and brutally honest racial polemic with enough material to offend everybody equally.

Not only is this reporter black, but she is also apparently an expert on race because of it!

Her primary assignment is ABC News' "Nightline," where she has contributed a number of reports for the ongoing series "America in Black and White." One report in this series was nominated for an Emmy Award, cited by the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism for excellence in coverage of racial and ethnic issues, and it received special notice from TV Guide in its "cheers" column for its candid look at racial stereotyping in news coverage.

She's allowed to declare crazy conspiracy theories "reasonable." She won an award for covering racial issues. See how it works?

Posted by: The Warden on October 26, 2005 09:07 AM

Call me crazy, but I'm beginning to think nobody on the left really wants to have that honest discussion about race in this country.

Posted by: Bill Bennett on October 26, 2005 09:28 AM

Well it might have to do with the facts
"All you white Republicans people lynched us and shut us out of the polls for years"
"No that was Democrats"
"But Jesse Jackson and Al Sharp... oh crap!"

And if we're going to take the propostion that The Man blew the levees seriously, shouldn't we give it a motive means test to see who did it?

Bush had minimal motive (seriously, rich NO men are hardly the powers that be in his administration.) Besides he's from Texas, he knows Louisiana isn't a proper state but just a giant marsh. But Bush does hate black people, Howard Dean said so. And who would he send in? He didn't have any troops in there because they all were in Iraq dying for halibutron oil pumps.

Blanco had the motive (rich NO people do make or break her) and she had the troops. She also most likely would have such a plan lying around her office (it being local and all) Did she have the time while compiling vast lists for FEMA of the supplies she would need?

Nagin had the motive (rich NO residents can buy or sell his office) and he had the troops in the city (NO police) If such a plan existed he also would likely have a copy of it. But he is black, and a bruthas supposed to become a Republican before selling out his own kind.

So it looks like Blanco is to blame, but who really in the Deomcrat party gave her the orders? I bet the blame ultimately lies with Robert "Sheets" Byrd.

I thoroughly enjoyed Bamboozled. I've seen it three times.

Make of that what you will.

Anyone see Undercover Brother? One of the funnier parts of the movie was a right wing riff that one of the characters goes on about race and politics. A surprisingly politically incorrect movie that has one or two really funny parts. Good also if you like Airplane or Top Secret style moronhumor.

Spike Lee the idiot who called for the shooting of CHARELTON HESTON Spike Lee the worse director in hollywood like MICHEAL MOORE and OLIVER STONE just what make him so rediclous and stupid?

"Anyone see Undercover Brother?"

That movie is a treasure.

My favorite character is Conspiracy Brother:

Who is this Malcom the Tenth that you speak of?

Posted by: Leftard on October 26, 2005 11:13 PM

Craiggers:

Speaking of Benton Harbor, remember when the idiot on a crotch rocket stuffed himself into a wall (fatally), and because he was black, and the cops chasing him for going over 100 mph were white, race riots broke out that burned down a lot of the neighborhood the rioters lived in? We were in the municipal marina, and made haste back to home port when all the fun broke out. Funny, haven't been back since......

Important Message from Recent Convert to Christianity and Yet Super-Serious Christian Tuq'r Qarlson: Actually Muslims love Jesus, it's Trump and his neocons who hate him
Tucker Carlson Network
@TCNetwork

The people in charge [Jews, of course -- ace] don't want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus.

Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. That's why Donald Trump's painting depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran. It was an attack on his religion as well as Christianity.

Trump's trolling tweet was ill-advised, but Tucker is just lying when he claims the Christianity-hating President of Iran was "offended" by this.
He's one step away from announcing his official conversion to Islam. He literally never stops praising Islam. Well, he suddenly became Christian two years ago, there's not much stopping him from converting again.
You can track Tuq'r's official conversion to Islam with this Bingo card.
