Oil Money Found In George Galloway's Wife's Accounts"Smoking gun" evidence he lied to the Senate, and was in fact on Saddam's payroll. GEORGE GALLOWAY faces possible criminal charges after a US Senate investigation tracked $150,000 (£85,000) in Iraqi oil money to his wife’s bank account in Jordan. The Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations will refer the Respect Party MP for possible prosecution after concluding that he gave “false and misleading” testimony at his appearance before the panel in May. DU is such a fun place. Consider this thread: Like it or not, Saddam is the legitimate head of state in Iraq - the Invasion that unseated and captured him was illegal.Jonah Goldberg found it, and has thoughts. Posted by: Slublog on October 25, 2005 12:59 PM
Norm Coleman for president! Posted by: The Warden on October 25, 2005 01:12 PM
While it's nice that Galloway apparently has been shown to be a lying crook for the thousandth time, I wouldn't hold out hope that the U.S. will prosecute him. It would be quite bad for U.S. foreign relations with Britain if we arrested a member of their government. Now if Britain wants to go after him with this information, that's another story entirely. Posted by: Midge on October 25, 2005 01:25 PM
Piffle. The idiot voluntarily came here and lied under oath to the Senate committee. The crime happened here, and ought to be prosecuted here. He'll have a grand old time making himself a victim, but I bet no one in the UK will shed any tears over him. Posted by: Harry Callahan on October 25, 2005 01:27 PM
No Worries.... Galloway will just pull out the Chewbacca defense! Posted by: ARC: St Wendeler on October 25, 2005 01:34 PM
Galloway's a crook?! But.. but he always came off so modest and trustworthy.. Posted by: Tom on October 25, 2005 01:35 PM
He's a member of the UK Parliament (representing a party with a commie-islamofascist platform) - he is not a member of the government. Loose shit. Posted by: holdfast on October 25, 2005 02:58 PM
Uh, holdfast, Parliament is a part of the British government. You wouldn't say that a member of the U.S. Congress isn't part of the government, would you?
Hand over the evidence to Britain and let them prosecute him for violating U.K. law with respect to UN sanctions. Because you sure as hell aren't going to convince U.K. officials to extradite him over here. Posted by: Midge on October 25, 2005 03:19 PM
Having just spent the morning reading all about the differences between british and american english, I believe I am in a position to explain. You see, what a brit refers to as the "government", an american would refer to as the "administration". The government is the Prime Minister, his cabinet, and I think the ministries. Parliament is not part of the government. Any brits out there want to tell me what you would call what we americans refer to as the "government"? Jeez, why's everyone so worked up? I mean what's the big friggin' deal? Seriously, who here hasn't at some point in their lives defended mass murder and stolen food and medicine money from sick and starving third-world children? I mean, come on, drop the whole holier-than-thou trip already. It's just a few dead kids. Get over your preachy selves. Posted by: on October 25, 2005 04:14 PM
I like "Slubog's" thread, it's hilarious. DUers arguing that Saddam is the legal head under international law or at least because other heads of state recognize him, while ignoring the fact that far more heads of state recognize the "illegitimate" Bush as leader of America. And of course that the invasion was somehow illegal under some international law (What, Kellog-Briand? Whos my international congressman while we're at it?) This is why i love the DU, there so scary and Antiamerican that is funny Posted by: HowardDevore on October 25, 2005 04:35 PM
It seemed to me at the time that the gentleman "doth protest too much." It really was difficult for me to believe that someone could spew the stuff that came out of his mouth. Alright Norm!!!! Posted by: Pam in Fresno on October 25, 2005 05:38 PM
Maybe they'll turn him over to the Iraqis for prosecution, seeing as how he profitted from their misery. Posted by: Iblis on October 25, 2005 05:45 PM
Can't tell you how many times I've found a few extra hundred thousand clams in a dresser-drawer that I'd forgotten all about. Don't get me started about the stack of oil vouchers one of my guests found under the candy dish one time. It's bloody embarrassing. Posted by: lauraw on October 25, 2005 08:15 PM

ANOTHER LEFT WING ASSASSIN ATTEMPTS TO KILL TRUMP
If I understand this, the left-wing Democrat assassin attempted to get into the White House Correspondents Association dinner, and was stopped at the magnetometers, which detected his gun. I guess he pulled out the gun and was shot by Secret Service agents. Erika Kirk was present.

Important Message from Recent Convert to Christianity and Yet Super-Serious Christian Tuq'r Qarlson: Actually Muslims love Jesus, it's Trump and his neocons who hate him
Tucker Carlson Network Trump's trolling tweet was ill-advised, but Tucker is just lying when he claims the Christianity-hating President of Iran was "offended" by this. He's one step away from announcing his official conversion to Islam. He literally never stops praising Islam. Well, he suddenly became Christian two years ago, there's not much stopping him from converting again. You can track Tuq'r's official conversion to Islam with this Bingo card.
People say that the bearded man in the video of Fartwell molesting a hooker looks like Democrat Arizona Senator Rueben Gallego, said to be Swalwell's "best friend" and known to take vacations with him.
@KFILE 21m So the campaign is collapsing due to the truth of the sexual harassment allegations. That hissing sound you hear is the air going out of the Swalwell campaign. UPDATE: No it wasn't, it was just Swalwell one-cheek-sneaking out a fart on camera Eric Swalwell more like Eric Farewell amirite thanks to weft-cut loop.
