Hilarious Practical JokeSo this guy...(laughing)...he, he decides as a lark..(rolling on floor, clutching sides)..ohh, hold on (chuckling), let me take a breath and start over. This is sooo funny. This fellow put pictures of his meat-and-two-veg. on women's cars for fun and games. "He had done it to make them happy, to make them giggle. He thought it was funny as a practical joke," Hartford Police Lt. Thomas Horvath said. To make them happy. Thanks to scott, who feels the need to share these things with me. posted by LauraW. at 03:22 PM
CommentsLauraW, Something about the tone of your post tells me that you didn't really find this all that funny. I find that remarkable. Surely the sight of some stranger's dangling unmentionables would cause any female to attain a healthy humorous glow? All the more so if the guy enhanced the picture with a cute name like, "Meet Mr. Winkie!" or "Kiss The Fireman For Luck!". I mean, this is comedy gold here. Not Margaret Cho funny, mind you. But hey, she's a professional. (Although the sight of her fat phiz on a poster would gross me out almost as much as this guys frank'n'beans.) Posted by: Monty on October 21, 2005 03:28 PM
C'mon lw! You wouldn't find it funny if you found a polaroid of some strange red-headed wang on your vehicle? Maybe he put a big red clown nose on the end and put some over-sized sun glasses on it : ) Posted by: compos mentis on October 21, 2005 03:33 PM
Perhaps there are women out there who, upon finding a polaroid of Little Jeff and his hairy bolos, will toss their heads back with a hearty guffaw? Posted by: lauraw on October 21, 2005 03:36 PM
Look at that guy's photo. Isn't that actually Mike Farrell? Posted by: OregonMuse on October 21, 2005 03:41 PM
LauraW, it'd depend on how lettle Little Jeff actually is, wouldn't it? Posted by: Retread on October 21, 2005 03:42 PM
You Americans are such children. In Europe we leave photos of our junk under windshield wipers all the time. Posted by: The Continental on October 21, 2005 03:59 PM
I really think they're over-stressing the funny side of this. It really was more about their happiness. Posted by: Dave in Texas on October 21, 2005 04:01 PM
You guys are killing me. Posted by: lauraw on October 21, 2005 04:09 PM
This guy has no shame. At least I email out the pics of my privates - from my boss's computer Posted by: Mr. Happy on October 21, 2005 04:14 PM
You gotta play to your strengths. If laughter is the typical female reaction to his his frank n' beans, then perhaps he really WAS just trying to spread a little cheer. Posted by: apotheosis on October 21, 2005 04:17 PM
Dave, you do have a point there. Nards...share the joy. Posted by: lauraw on October 21, 2005 04:17 PM
Wait a sec ... you're saying that not only is it illegal to leave photos of your package on womens' cars, but they don't even like it? What am I supposed to do with my Friday night? Posted by: Phinn on October 21, 2005 04:17 PM
The question is if he was excited or not. A sagging uninflated weenie is kinda funny lookin. Posted by: on October 21, 2005 04:18 PM

I understand at his booking, he was quoted as having said "I've always felt this tremendous, obligation really, to share my gift of mirth with the world". Posted by: Dave in Texas on October 21, 2005 04:31 PM

Why don't women do stuff like that? Posted by: scott on October 21, 2005 05:22 PM
Why don't women do stuff like that? Because they're not sick, perpetually horny freaks by nature? Posted by: compos mentis on October 21, 2005 05:29 PM
I just thought it through, it would not be a good thing. There would never be any parking spaces, lots would be full of cars and guys would be walking everywhere. Posted by: scott on October 21, 2005 05:33 PM
lauraw, "GROAANNN?" It's not like I suggested a squirt feature or something. Cordially... Posted by: Rick on October 21, 2005 05:38 PM
You know those women: they'll giggle at the tiniest little thing. Posted by: Paul Zrimsek on October 21, 2005 07:09 PM
I, too, have an odd sense of humor. For instance, this story is funny to me: In a related story, this man voted for Buchanan when he intended to vote for Gore. Or did he forget to vote that day? Who knows! That's the funny! when you get old and are no longer aware or held accountable for your actions. Posted by: Bart on October 21, 2005 07:33 PM
Bart. That is not a 'sense of humor' you've got there. I don't know what the Fuck that is you've got. Posted by: lauraw on October 21, 2005 07:43 PM
Because they're not sick, perpetually horny freaks by nature? More's the pity, compos. More's the pity. Posted by: Monty on October 21, 2005 07:46 PM
Whaaaat? That's not funny? Can you imagine the look on the toll-takers face. Priceless. Three miles later, the car approached the Sunshine Skyway toll bridge. As Parker decelerated, the body slumped entirely inside, the man's face pushed up against the dash.
This is the REALLY funny part: she heard a crash and saw a leg flying in front of her blue Buick LeSabre. "It went at least one story in the air," she said. His shoe then popped off before the limb came to a rest on a strip of grass west of the street, in front of Howard Johnson's. Posted by: Bart on October 21, 2005 07:56 PM
Dude, even less funny with the highlight reel. I feel sorry for the poor bums, especially the guy that died. If it makes you feel any better, my husband thought there was some humor there. Posted by: lauraw on October 21, 2005 08:29 PM
I sure hope he dont do it with the dip head from PETA you know how these PETA jerks feel about that Posted by: spurwing plover on October 21, 2005 09:32 PM
Laura, perhaps you didn't notice the leg landed in front of Howard Johnson's. Howard frickin Johnson's! How funny is that? I didn't even know that there were any HoJo's left in the world. And, Bam!, a shoe-less leg lands in front of the old restaurant franchise I knew and loved as a kid. Okay, the fact that a man was so violently and needlessly killed isn't funny. It is a shitty way to go -- what with half his body being carted around by a senile old man, and the other half laying in front of the salt water taffy display at HoJo's. But the way the story is reported is a hoot. The reporter, knowingly or unwittingly, wrote in a style that was comedic genius. Come on, the writer included the quote, ""It [the leg] went at least one story in the air." The writer knew that would invoke a cartoonish image in the reader's mind. The writer also found it necessary to include the detail about the shoe "popping off" the tumbling leg. Strange, no? P.S. Right on, Spurling! PETA is full of crazy bitches. Now tell us what your name means. Posted by: Bart on October 21, 2005 10:30 PM
Posted by: scott on October 21, 2005 10:37 PM
lauraw, Love ya and love your co-blogging, but anyone who can't see the funny in corpses passing by toll booth attendants (the second lowest form of government leach) and body parts landing in front of a HoJo on account of an oblivious innocent might be too close to the story or something. This is Mr. Magoo meets I Know What You Did Last Summer. It's frikkin comedy gold. The fact there is pain and horror doesn't make it less funny; it's funnier. Or maybe I need help. PS for the crew: A spurwing plover is a bird. Why someone wants to be associated with it is anybody's guess. But I do note that he swoops in, drops what's on his mind, and departs. Posted by: VRWC Agent on October 22, 2005 12:29 AM
Yeah, its just the bird. Hubby anagrammed the crap out of 'spurwing plover' and couldn't come up with anything else that made sense. Posted by: lauraw on October 22, 2005 09:22 AM
Well, I think it isn't that much funny. Posted by: Arnold on October 24, 2005 06:25 AM
