RedState: Next SCOTUS Nominee-- Priscilla Owens

That's where they're leaning, RedState says.

But many are pushing Alberto Gonzalez again, including My Satanic Master Karl Rove.

Oh, well. Even the Prince of Lies is entitled to an off-day. He's had his plate full lately, what with conjuring hurricanes and all.

Thanks to AllahPundit.

Scroll down on the RedState site and you'll see another post about Owen which suggests that the GOP expects her to be borked. The idea is to energize the base with a vicious confirmation battle, not necessarily to have the nominee confirmed.

If that's true, it sucks.

Yes.

I don't remember Roberts being the prediction as Bush's ultimate choice by too many people. So, I can't put much weight on the current predictions by the peanut gallery.

Ha ha. Just like the first one was Edith Clement?

I hope it's not Owen. She's got all the negative hype without any actual evidence of being conservative -- and conservatives know it. It would be a big political as well as judgment error by Bush.

If you know anything about how this White House works, then you'll realize that it won't be EITHER one of them.

This leak is timed to get all the dirt-digger media working on THE WRONG CANDIDATE.

The fact that it was leaked that Rove's candidate is Gonzalez ensures that 50 reporters over at the New York Times will spend the next 3 weeks digging up dirt, not on the REAL candidate, but on someone who won't even be NOMINATED.

Dood, it's right there in your Karl Rove Red Handbook for Internet Bogger Misdirections.

What, you don't get the Rove Red Book?

If there's going to be a "Borking" it should be Bork himself. He's tanned rested and ready.

Posted by: Purple Avenger on September 27, 2005 03:05 AM

It seems to be a hot topic of discussion now.

Posted by: Ashton on September 27, 2005 06:46 AM

I hope Bush nominates some 27-year-old associate. That way, when Schumer starts talking about how the nominee will be on the Court for 50 years, he can lean forward and say, "That's right, Senator, and I will dance on your grave."

That would be awesome.

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.
The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite.
Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
