Katrina's Saddest Victim: Cindy Sheehan

From Sharp As a Marble:

As the deluge of tears threatened to wash away the handful of protesters left, Cindy Sheehan spoke of the horrors the recent flood coverage by the media has had on her cause. Wearing a ‘No Flood For Oil’ t-shirt, Sheehan spoke to a throng of two or three journalism students about the aftermath of the recent Katrina coverage.

“It has been awful,” Sheehan said, barely able to conceal the pain in her voice. “This morning, I woke up and was going to plant another white cross and privately grieve over the loss of my son, Corey…. or Casey… whatever his name was, and there was only one or two cameramen available to cover my private moment. Then, I turned on MSNBC and CNN, thinking I would be able to watch my daily grief session at least a dozen times before my early afternoon nap, but instead they were covering something else. I’m not sure what it was, but there was a lot of unhappy people so it must have been Bush’s fault. Or the Jews.”

The poor dear thing has been bereaved AGAIN...

it is bush's fault and the jews... if they hadn't set off that underwater nuclear device that caused all the hurricane

Posted by: canuck on September 2, 2005 07:29 PM

That raging bitch Katrina!!!! How dare her. Stealing Cindy's Thunder (c) (R) (tm) like that!!

Posted by: moflicky on September 2, 2005 07:51 PM

Actually, canuck, Bush set off a nu-cu-lar device, not a nuclear one...

Big difference.

Ace,

Sigh.

It is so depressing, really.

I just returned from NYC, where amongst other things, I took some time to pay a respectful visit to Ground Zero.

During my flights to-and-from, I finished the cogent and very important book, A Matter of Principle-Humanitarian Arguments for War in Iraq, edited by Thomas Cushman. The chapters by Christopher Hitchens, Norman Geras, Daniel Kofman, and Pamela Bone were especially noteworthy.

...

Apropos Sharp as a Marble

/rant on

Did you know that the planes that hit the WTC were flown by remote control?! No wait, it was the US military! No wait, it was the Israelis! No wait, well whoever it was, BUSH DID IT!

Do you know why? Because Bush wanted to take over the oil fields on behalf of his oil-buddies! No wait, he did it to enrich a single US company, Halliburton! No wait, he did it to satisfy his Saudi masters! No wait, it was his Jewish masters! No wait, it was his Christian masters! No wait, it doesn't matter who he did it for, but it was A LIE! And PEOPLE DIED!

Just like in NOLA, black people were sent to the Superdome TO DIE! And if it wasn't for global warming, there would have been no hurricane, and if Bush hadn't kept all of the troops in Iraq, they would have been there to help, and if Bush hadn't stolen all the money for his war, the levees would have never been breached!

RACISM!

CANNIBALISM!

IMMORAL WAR!

THE WORLD'S BIGGEST TERRORIST!

BusHitler!

Chimpy McHalliburton!

NeoConZioNazis!

NO BLOOD FOR OIL!

/rant off

...

Sigh.

As I was saying, it is depressing, really.

Really, really.

Just sayin'.

Bring them Home Now Tour - Day 3

It's been awhile since I've updated this journal. We were all a bit shocked when Bush left his Texas compound so suddenly to deal with this hurricane 'crisis.' We had already started packing up Camp Casey, but all felt a bit let down that it didn't end with the protest we had planned.

That bitch Katrina has us all upset. Sure, the damage is terrible, but the news has been 24/7 with all of the destruction and suffering. I don't know why they're focusing on all of those hicks sweating in the debris of their homes when there's so much real suffering going on in the world, most of it caused by the murderer-in-chief.

If the president wants to see real pain, he should come to Camp Casey and talk to the families that have lost dear, sweet babies in his war of choice. Sure, he's hugging the victims of this hurricane, but he won't meet with me to tell me how and why my son had to die.

We had a protest today outside the Houston offices of Tom DeLay, but he wasn't there. Turns out he was in Washington, at some special session of Congress to help those hurricane victims. I am SO TIRED of hearing about them. I mean, it's not as though they lost a son in Iraq. What really upset me is that only one or two cameras showed up. It was barely worth the tears I cried.

Later this week, we're going to an air show. Well, we're going to protest an air show in Maine. The director of the protest says it's to call attention to how that base has supported Bush's immoral war. I feel a little guilty about this, since Casey loved air shows.

When he was a toddler, right before he was sent to Iraq, we went to an air show together. I bought him some cotton candy and we watched the slaves of the Zionist military-industrial complex dance like trained bears for our entertainment. Little did he know that his days of airshows and cotton candy were soon to be ended by that evil bastard Bush.

Well, they're telling me we're getting close to the place in Louisiana where we're leaving some leftovers from Camp Casey for storm 'victims.' I guess the storm blew out most of the Verizon network down here, so I have to end this journal.

Maybe by the time our convoy of truth gets to Washington, all of this focus on the 'storm of the century' or whatever will be over. Gosh, I hope so. They're just a bunch of people who lost houses. It's not like they sacrificed a son.

Peace.

It's getting REALLY hard to satirize the Lefties anymore, isn't it? It wasn't until I got to the part about Mother Sheehan forgetting her son's name that I realized that SAAM's article wasn't real.

Considering that Sheehan is on tour in her nice bus (no problems paying for gas, I see) to continue to draw attention to her cause, you KNOW deep down she really DOES resent all the attention that she's losing...

It wasn't until I got to the part about Mother Sheehan forgetting her son's name that I realized that SAAM's article wasn't real. One of the greatest compliments! Thanks!
Posted by: Sharp as a Marble on September 2, 2005 09:39 PM

Is she in contact with all those hundreds or thosands of victims calling bush a idiot? or is she just trying to look serious?

Posted by: thunderbird on September 2, 2005 11:24 PM

It's a parody.

Posted by: Slublog on September 2, 2005 11:29 PM

Slublog you magnificent bastard.

Posted by: Dave in Texas on September 3, 2005 08:28 AM

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Slu - Oops! My only defense - I took way more stats/math courses in college than English.

Posted by: Kimberly on September 3, 2005 11:04 AM

Cindy Sheehan pissed? Think of how Beth Holloway Twitty, MILF and media whore extraordinaire, feels?

Mother Sheehan can't hold a candle to Beth as the Mom for Justice. Over 110 days of saturation media coverage. Like a 110-day long shark attack presented on a platter for a lazy media determined to duck other substantial stories.

Can "Natalie" be resurrected given the media is now all about one city affected by Katrina and ignoring the rest of the devestation?

Will we hear more of the duped child Casey, sacrificed for Bush's Jewish oil buddies? (Woman is so angry-inarticulate newly arrived Lefty...she can't even articulate causes on the Left like Zionist land grabbing any better than she can talk about Iraq War strategy in pointing out stuff the Bushies unarguably botched badly) Or is Mother Sheehan out of luck, given the media can move on to months of angry, outraged blacks?

At least Beth the MILF is likeable and you can admire her "Mom for Justice" crusade. Plus, Aruba is a pretty darm nice place for Greta and the other lawyer-whore-experts of cable TV to hang out at.

All right! Who forgot to flush the toilet?

Posted by: BrewFan on September 3, 2005 05:14 PM

Spewfan. Amazing you can type with cum gobbets still dribbling off your chin.

Isn't it time to get back to your glory-hole?

Posted by: Cedarford on September 3, 2005 08:42 PM

Gobbelsford,

I'm suprised you can actually find the time to post here, what with all the circle-jerk sessions over at stormfront going on. Maybe next time you could take the cock out of your mouth before you speak.

Sincerely,
Son of America

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.
The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite.
Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
