New Orleans' Not-Quite-Finest Help Themselves To A Little Bit Of Looted Property

And Pundit Guy has the video of the cops-slash-criminals.

More proof that corruption is an integral part of every Democrat-run city.

Can't get it to load right now.

How bad is it? What are they taking? Jewelry? High Heels?

Police have borad powers to, and are *supposed* to "loot" (commandeer) some things to support their operations, and human life and human need, in a disaster.

SO it's legit for them to hijack office equipment and food and water, even clothes and stuff depending on the need.

I take it this is something completely, obviously different...

Posted by: SarahW on September 2, 2005 01:50 PM

I call bullshit. I can't access the video. So, I don't know if they are cops or meter maids. Nor, can I see what they have in their cart. If things are hell in a hand basket, and they can't get food and water, I see no problems with the police taking it b/c they are emergency workers.

As far as the guns, it makes a hell of a lot of sense that they would go and take them. In the LA riots gun shops being broken into and looted created a lot of problems.

Posted by: on September 2, 2005 04:05 PM

Cheez louise, it's an office supply store.
Not. Criminal.

Police have powers to commandeer materials and supplies during a diasster to support their operations.

Posted by: SarahW on September 2, 2005 04:07 PM

Police have the law on their side here.

Posted by: on September 2, 2005 04:09 PM

The text mentions looting of ATMs and safes. That's a pretty broad definition of "supplies."

The text mentions looting of ATMs and safes. That's a pretty broad definition of "supplies."

Right. And the proof that they burglarized atms and safes is?

I looked at the video. When did they start letting fat old women become patrol officers? They do not look like regular NOPD to me.

Posted by: on September 2, 2005 04:21 PM

SarahW: It's a SuperWalmart. And two nice policeofficerettes are leisurely strolling about, picking-n-choosin, loading a cart, helping themselves to various items, including shoes as people pick the store clean around them.

When asked what they're doing, one officer says she's there 'lookin for looters' doing her job, and seems to want to avoid the camera.

My mortgage is due - I'll just go down to the bank on the corner and liberate some "payment supplies" at 0-dark-hundred tonight.

Posted by: Tony on September 2, 2005 04:33 PM

Send this video to Mayor "No Clue" Nagin.

You want answers Mr. Mayor?...there's your fucking answer.

So, I don't know if they are cops or meter maids.

Meter maids don't carry guns and nightsticks.

Police have powers to commandeer materials and supplies during a diasster to support their operations.

Since when have flips flops and civilian clothes become "materials and supplies" for police during the height of a natural disaster?

These women are a disgrace to their uniforms.

Posted by: The Ugly American on September 2, 2005 05:22 PM

I spoke too soon, that's obvious. I still can't get the video to load, just the opening still picture; I was too ready to defend cops taking stuff.

Since I can't see with my own eyes and ears exactly what they are doing, I'll trust yours. They are stealing what they don't need out of greed.

Still, in a disaster, police do have a the authority to take sundries and clothes, even for personal use, to support their operations and to distribute to humans who, say, have no flip/flops and are walking around in paper shoes.

Wall Mart ain't Hitler'wine cellar, but the rules of taking are pretty similar to what the military can do - commandeer houses, vehicles, food, and other property.

That said, if they are, and I have no reason to doubt you, just wandering around fetching shiny objects for themselves, I hope they get theirs.

Posted by: SarahW on September 2, 2005 07:04 PM

Meter maids don't carry guns and nightsticks.

And cops aren't old fat women. There is a fitness standard and testing in order to maintain your commission.

Posted by: on September 2, 2005 07:19 PM

THERE ARE NO FITNESS STANDARDS IN NOPD

"...But the final shape of the initiative remains very much up in the air. Some parts of the plan amount to minor in-house adjustments, such as implementing fitness standards for officers, ..."

Posted by: Tony on September 2, 2005 07:45 PM

IF it's true that they were illegally looting property, they should be hung by their fat fucking necks (full uniform) in a highly visible part of town. Those officers have comitted themselves to the service of the public and their actions should be dealt with on a much harsher scale. Fucking hang them. Hang a soldier who steals. Hang any public officials who steal. The rest of the looters should be rounded up and bussed out of the area. Deal with their crimes later. If they resist, fucking shoot them in the street and see if everyone else feels a little more compelled to comply...

And cops aren't old fat women.

Yeah, right.

Please tell me the name of this mythical city/town where all cops are created equal.

Posted by: The Ugly American on September 2, 2005 09:02 PM

BTW...have you even watched the video yet?

Posted by: The Ugly American on September 2, 2005 09:04 PM

NO WONDER CRIME IS SO HIGH.

How do you catch bad guys if you can't run more than 20 ft. without having a M.I.?

Los Angeles

Posted by: on September 2, 2005 09:27 PM

How do you catch bad guys if you can't run more than 20 ft..

In NOLA the cops aren't about "catching" the bad guys. Take a look at the FBI crime rate data for NOLA.

NOLA has been a corrupt high crime cesspool for the last 150 years.

Los Angeles

That's funny....cause the LAPD detective who worked on my robbery case last year looked as though she shopped at The Gap-toothed Porn Star Slut Outlet.

Granted she wasn't old and fat but I seriously doubt her ability to chase down a perp in those hookerish-looking heals and huge fake tits.

Posted by: The Ugly American on September 2, 2005 10:26 PM

She must've advanced to detective due to her amazing skills on the trampoline.

Posted by: The Ugly American on September 2, 2005 10:29 PM

Chase??

The perps come to her.

Posted by: lauraw on September 2, 2005 10:36 PM

LOL lauraw....touche!

Posted by: The Ugly American on September 2, 2005 10:40 PM

Granted she wasn't old and fat but I seriously doubt her ability to chase down a perp . . .

Well, if you didn't have to pay for it all the time, you wouldn't get jacked by trannies so often and have to rely on the police, now would you?

Posted by: on September 2, 2005 11:04 PM

Lame.

Try again.

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.
The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite.
Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
