« Reposting: John Kerry, Drunken Bear | Main | Subway Flasher Again: Europeans Want To Know What The Big Deal Is »
August 30, 2005

I dedicate this thread to Rosie O'Donnell.

I wish all the liberals who wrap themselves in the Bill of Rights, would remember the one which comes right after the free speech part.

This guy must have loved The Untouchables:

"If you open the can on these worms you must be prepared to go all the way, because they're not gonna give up the fight until one of you is dead," he says. "You wanna know how you do it? They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That's the Chicago way, and that's how you get Capone. Now do you want to do that? Are you ready to do that?"

It’s probably a very good thing he (Moore) was there,” says APD Sgt. Trish Hoffman. “Ms. Cordova may not be here today if it had not been for him."

May not be here today? I'm pretty sure the bastard would have finished her off but for Geezer Justice.

I Loooove it when the bad guy gets just what he deserves. Sort of like when that car going 20 mph faster than the traffic on the freeway, zipping from lane to lane, is seen on the side of the road getting a ticket.

Police say there was a valid restraining order in place against the victim's ex-husband.

Well, that was worth about as much as the paper it was written on.

About 20some years ago a similar case happened in MA. Woman pleaded with the police to give her a gun permit. Of course they didn't do that and she went for a long dirt nap after the piece of paper failed to protect her.

Ace: don't forget that Rosie's bodyguards had applied for concealed weapon permits while she was trashing the gun lobby.

A gun permit isn't going to save you, either. However, a gun and some time practicing at the range might.

This is a particularly dramatic example of something that happens pretty regularly:

Hmm... I guess now we know why libs hate Wal-Mart so much.

"Vigil was shot to death by 72-year old Due Moore".
Now THAT'S gun control!

Posted by: Len - KC on August 30, 2005 11:33 PM

But... but... but... there was a restraining order! The courts and police were doing everything they could to protect the woman!

Maybe she should have gotten two or three other pieces of paper to protect her! THAT would have stopped that maniac from stabbing her!

Oh oh oh I know! WE CAN OUTLAW SHARP THINGS! THAT WILL STOP THIS KIND OF THING FROM HAPPENING!

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to figure out how to cut a bagel with a Nerf ball.

Rosie might not like guns (for other people) but she sure likes an ambush! No pun intended because I don't even know what that pun might be.

Posted by: slickdpdx on August 31, 2005 11:49 AM

The victim in this case is 46-year old Joyce Cordova.

Thank God they got that straight! Yes, the victim WAS the woman who was being attacked, not the crazed ex-husband who was rightfully blown to Kingdom Come. These days, you can never be sure who is going to be awarded victim status in the press.

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.
The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite.
Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
