Saint Cindy Slams Mothers Of Lost Sons Who Support The War

She's doing the Lord's work. Lord Orcus, that is.

I finally figured out George Bush's NEW reason for staying in Iraq. This reason has also been co-opted by the Move America Forward (forward to what: Fascism?) and the poor mothers who would be honored if their sons were killed in George Bush's war for greed and power.

...

I have continually asked George Bush to quit using Casey's name the name of the other Gold Star Families for Peace loved ones to justify his continued killing. He continues to say this: 'We have to honor the sacrifices of the fallen by completing the mission.' So the mission is now this: WE MUST CONTINUE KILLING AMERICANS BECAUSE AMERICANS HAVE ALREADY BEEN KILLED!!!

How can anyone, anyone in their right minds support this line of reasoning' I have been silent on the Gold Star Moms who still support this man and his war by saying that they deserve the right to their opinions because they are in as much pain as I am. I would challenge them, though, at this point to start thinking for themselves. Iraq DID NOT have WMD's; Iraq WAS NOT linked to Al Qaeda and 9/11; Iraq WAS NOT a threat or danger to America. How can these moms who still support George Bush and his insane war in Iraq want more innocent blood shed just because their sons or daughters have been killed' I don't understand it. I don't understand how any mother could want another mother to feel the pain we feel. I am starting to lose a little compassion for them. I know they have been as brainwashed as the rest of America, but they know the pain and heartache and they should not wish it on another. However, I still feel their pain so acutely and pray for these 'continue the murder and mayhem' moms to see the light.

Emphasis mine. Whiny delivery in original.

Eh. I understand her grief. They threaten the one thing she loves above all else-- her time in the spotlight.

What a tool. I think that's the first time I've called a woman that. It seems to fit.

Thanks again to Slu, whose site is down, which means I get all his good stuff.

Google Supports Mother Peace! If this transcript of a Google session from John From Wuzzadem can be believed, which I'm absolutely sure it can be.

Actually, I don't think there is a more apt adjective out there for Mother Sheehan.

A tool in every respect.

I virtually never watch tv, but turned on CNN yesterday to see some Katrina coverage, and got a glimpse of a Mother Sheehan commercial. It was agonizingly awful, far beyond my expectations. She was worse than my nine year old son in full frontal whine mode. I can't imagine those spots are doing her, or her cause, much good.

Posted by: dulce on August 30, 2005 02:04 PM

The thing I can't stand most about Mother Sheehan? The fact that I must spend any time at all thinking about this angry woman.

Seriously, she's wasting all of our time. Especially mine. I could be watching Quicny, M.E. right now, but instead I'm writing about Mother Sheehan.

WT-F-F?? Five years from now, I'm going to be sitting on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, I'll see some woman walk by wearing that same goofball hat, and I'll immediately think of Mother Sheehan instead of the hot chicks by the Reflecting Pool I was scoping out.

It's just NOT FAIR that I know about this woman.

On the other hand, I am glad I know about the heroism of Casey Sheehan, and others like him. Silver lining.

Cheers,
Dave at Garfield Ridge

Isn't it just precious how she's the only one that's right and all those other people are wrong? Sounds like my daughter did at 12. And 16 too. Maybe Cindy will outgrow her teenage angst but I'm guessing she's in mental age equivalency free-fall, heading right back to the terrible twos.

Posted by: bullwinkle on August 30, 2005 02:12 PM

Did you guys notice how KKKarl Rove used his weather machine to wipe out New Orleans (which votes blue, btw) and thereby take the spotlight off of Mother Sheehan? Is there no end to that man's perfidy?

Posted by: Sobek on August 30, 2005 02:30 PM

Huh. I'm at home from work now, and INTERNET works great. I'm starting to suspect a midmaine.com filter.

Dammit.

Posted by: Slublog on August 30, 2005 02:30 PM

I think the Sheehan juggernaut is coming to an end. Did you see accounts of her interview on National Public Radio?

Stupid reporter should have known better. She's a SAINT. You can't ask her HARD QUESTIONS. STICK TO THE SCRIPT!

Posted by: Slublog on August 30, 2005 02:49 PM

So ... thinking about bringin' it to Tom DeLay's office, huh, Cindy? Please do. The bright red folks in Sugar Land will be more than glad to show you their own special form of support, I'm sure.

"When you read about the Camp Casey movement in the history books, you can say, 'I met Casey's mom.' , Cindy Sheehan.

Ummm, nothing like putting yourself in the history books. Wonder when she will start referring to herself in the third person?

There's nothing sadder than mild insanity blended with grief and left to stew under the media spotlight for a few weeks.

Laura Ingraham was playing the 'interview' she did with NPR. She was having problems answering questions from even an NPR fellow leftists, and cut the interview short (she limited it to 2 minutes when the interviewer thought they had much more). Perhaps she thought the interviewer was insulting her by not telling her how swell she was for the first 10 minutes, unlike the rest of the media that seem to spend most of their time up her ass so they can let us know when her next movement will be.

Really, this is like the media putting retarded children on TV solely for having the skill of being able to say 'I eat my own poo poo'.

I know that everyone has probably already read the letter to C. Shehann on Scrappleface, but I really wish there was a way to get her to read it-and the rest of the world. It is so moving and beautiful.

Posted by: j on August 30, 2005 03:06 PM

With some reluctance, but complete confidence, I have finally concluded that Cindy's cause is not about loss and grief, it's strictly, purely about hate -- hatred for President Bush, hatred for Jews and Israel, hatred for everyone who opposes their effort, hatred for America, hatred for democracy, hatred for human freedom.

While others celebrate the honor, courage, and selfless service of family or friends killed in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, Sheehan and some of her co-protestors celebrate the deaths of their family or friends in a way which treats those deaths as nothing more than useful grounds for spewing hatred. It's not enough that they themselves are consumed by hatred -- no, all Iraqis, all Afghanis, indeed all of America, must be purified by the white-hot apocalytptic fires of their personal hatred.

And to the lamestream media she is a model of what the country should be. She is disgusting, and they are unredeemably despicable.

I have a hard time believing a person like Cindy could have produced a person like Casey.

I feel ambivalent as to whether to ignore CS or continue to expose her for the shrieking freak she really is. I've heard pundits say they believe she's had it, that its only a matter of time and I believe it. The question is: how much time? Hopefully she'll become as big a bore to others as she has to me.

Do you need to have lost a child in Iraq to qualify for being a "murder and mayhem" mom?

Posted by: meep on August 30, 2005 04:28 PM

Meep, I'd like to think you don't even have to be a mom to be a murder and mayhem mom.

In fact, my whole self image depends on it.

Murder and Mayhem Moms

Didn't they open for Zappa and the Dead Kennedys?

This is the kind of thing that happens when you allow a hardcore 1960's acid casualty moonbat near a mic.

The link to the NPR Neil Conan "interview" she hung up on. Whadda fraud!

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4822109

Posted by: Maria Clark on August 31, 2005 07:03 AM

It gets better, Maria. This guy pumped up the volume on the bit just before she cut Conan off. She could be heard saying something off-mike to someone in the room. That something turns out to be, "this guy's a dick!" It's legit, too. You can try it yourself on NPR's clean audio.

I highly recommend giving the whole thing a listen. She's just not going to get a more sympathetic hearing than from NPR, but she obviously couldn't bear the SLIGHTEST questioning of her script.

More air time for this woman! She's a time bomb for her side.

Posted by: S. Weasel on August 31, 2005 08:07 AM

That audio clip is amazing. I especially loved her trying to steer the conversation back onto what she wanted to talk about - "can't we talk about what's going on here or what we're going to do in the future?" Criminy.

Looks like her handlers have to put a tighter rein on St. Cindy.

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.
The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite.
Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
