Guantanamo Prisoners Harry Potter

I guess it's time to stop using Harry Potter as an interrogation tool.

Damnit. It seemed such a promising tactic, too.

By the the third hour of Prisoner of Azkaban I was pretty much ready to tell all to any passing interrogator who happened to be in the Sony Loews.

The upside is that people who yell out spoilers would be subject to Sharian Mob Justice

Potter Bookstore Spoiler Video

All the video lacks is a sudden chorus of ululations followed by footage of the spoiler's car being overturned, imo.

On the other side, interrogators can threaten to tell spoilers if they don't cooperate.

Just wait for the stories of guards desecrating copies of Prisoner of Azkaban. Them military interrogators ain't got no respect, I tell you.

The way I read the "Harry Potter as torture" stories, this is actually good news for its use in interrogation. They weren't reading it to torture the poor bastards, but were watching for a bit the detainee found interesting. They could then use that as an opening to discussion with the detainee.

I must admit that I hadn't considered that a shared amusement of the antics of Dobby the House Elf could be used as a jumping off point to a dialogue of greater understanding with the Muslim insurgents.

This is a terrific opportunity to make a connection with these misunderstood fellows.

Get some commies involved and I'm sure there's many comatose hours of facinating "dialectic" to be strangled out of the Potter series.
