Lunatic Dons Armor, Attacks Cops With Longsword"I have a thousand years of power!" he exclaimed and he charged into melee combat with the cops. Alas, it turns out he failed his saving throw against the Taser. posted by Ace at 08:26 PM
CommentsI have the original hardback Player's Manual, (c) 1978, and there's absolutely nothing about Tasers. I hate these Monty Haul DM's. Posted by: Floyd McWilliams on August 8, 2005 08:41 PM

Magic Missile? It was obviously a Shocking Grasp such as my half-orc cleric/assassin might deliver. Posted by: Allen on August 8, 2005 08:52 PM
"might have delivered." Obviously I meant to speak in the past tense. Posted by: Allen on August 8, 2005 08:53 PM
Just read the actual report and it looks like the suspect did indeed make his saving throw vs. taser. Either that or he had some magic chain mail. He walked to the basement after being hit with only one of the barbs of the taser. Posted by: Allen on August 8, 2005 08:58 PM
hehehe *snort* heheheeee Posted by: Yogimus on August 8, 2005 10:57 PM
Royal Oak. Posted by: Mikey on August 9, 2005 07:35 AM
I guess he needed a thousand and one years of power. And grounding. Later, Posted by: bbeck on August 9, 2005 10:48 AM
He made his first save, Allen, but not the second one. Apparently tasers take neither level nor current hit points into account, hence the suspect's "Thousand Years of Power" were no help. Posted by: SparcVark on August 9, 2005 11:34 AM

Lost Seventies Mystery Click: The Darkest Song Ever Recorded?
I think Professor of Rock (on YouTube) claimed this song was so upsetting that people used to pull over to the side of the road when it came on the radio. It's about a fatal plane crash, but obviously it suggests a fatal car crash too, which could wig out a driver. It's like one of those nasty 70s anti-war body horror movies. Not for the squeamish. I'm not even going to post the lyrics because they're upsetting too.

Soft weak poop from the early 80s Mystery Click
I never liked this song, but it is memorable. In a weak, annoying way. The kid's in shock up and down the block The folks are home playing beat the clock Down at the golden cup They set the young ones up Under the neon light Selling day for night It's alright Nobody rides for free (nobody, nobody) Nobody gets it like they want it to be (nobody, nobody) Nobody hands you any guarantee (nobody, nobody) Nobody

Former CIA operative John Kiriakou talks with Matt Taibbi about the Brennan/Comey Coup
Both guys are old liberals, maybe even of the far-left variety, and both are appalled by the Democrat/Deep State coup against the US. Kiriakou says that CIA officers were legally obligated to report to the Inspector General John Brennan's repeated overruling of actual intelligence to encode his partisan conspiracy theories into US intel product, but of course they didn't.
