« Rove's Remarks: It's Just Too Easy | Main | I Love The America... That Can Be »

Liberals: Don't Be Crybabies

Lorie sums it up nicely.

Look, after the attacks by Dean, Reid, and of course Dickie Durbin, you can't really whine about Karl Rove.

Notice the right rose up in anger to repudiate attacks made on our troops. The left seems only capable of stirring itself into outrage as regards made on the left itself.

Anyone notice that distinction? I think the American public just might.

It ain't stoppin' the Excitable One from bitching that Rove painted with too broad a brush.

If the dick fits, suck it Andy.

Posted by: Iblis on June 24, 2005 12:36 PM

I think Karl Rove summed it up nicely.

Posted by: 72 VIRGINS on June 24, 2005 12:38 PM

Someone should compile a list of all the over-the-top, outlandish attacks that liberals have made lately. It's just incredible with all the bile they spew they can ask Rove to apologize for saying something that is actually true with a straight face. These people are professional puppets or somehting.

Posted by: brak on June 24, 2005 12:42 PM

Karl Rove:
"I'd like to apologize to all Americans who were offended when I pointed out the statements of Liberals in regards to the conduct of the war. I found them offensive and disgusting. I hereby apologize to you and more importantly to myself, for having to repeat these foul utterances of Mordor."

Posted by: Iblis on June 24, 2005 12:51 PM

Hearing Hillary whine yesterday bugged the hell out of me. I will never forget her behavior when bush addressed congress after the 9/11 attach: turning her back, talking, laughing, rolling her eyes. Fuck her.

Posted by: on June 24, 2005 01:06 PM

You can't possibly insult a liberal more than by repeating his own words back to him.

Posted by: kelly on June 24, 2005 01:15 PM

They're bitching because it's true.

Posted by: Dave in Texas on June 24, 2005 01:27 PM

Nice little look at MSM treatment of the issue here: http://www.postwatchblog.com/2005/06/the_political_b.html which includes a useful (and lengthy) list early in the comments section of nutty things liberals have said (to address brak's request).

The Democrat's only hope now is that some attractive white chick goes missing.

Posted by: planetmoron on June 24, 2005 01:28 PM

Really, really, wish I had saved some of the crazy email volleys I was in with some liberal people right after 9/11.
Especially the ones where they quote Chomsky insinuating that the US should just lump it.

Damn, why didn't I save those.

Posted by: lauraw on June 24, 2005 02:00 PM

First to you, Ace:
It's high time that we ('we' being Americans in support of our fight against islamofascism) fought back against the anti-American propaganda that our enemies (foreign and domestic) are using to try and defeat us as they did in Vietnam. What Rove said needs to be echoed loudly and often to counter the islam-lefty alliance. How about a discussion of such on the next "Hoist" show?
To second Planetmoron per Brak's request-
go to GOP.com and see...

Posted by: Uncle Jefe on June 24, 2005 02:01 PM

That's a good ad on GOP.com They need to run that repeatedly.

Posted by: brak on June 24, 2005 02:06 PM

BTW, did any of you movie fans see this on Polipundit:

http://gopvixen.blogs.com/gop_vixen/2005/06/war_of_the_worl.html

Maybe this is why they prevented advanced screenings for critics?

Posted by: brak on June 24, 2005 02:32 PM

Today we were all bombarded with quote after quote from the liberal leaders who gave speeches and 'guidance' to President Bush just after 9/11. In almost every instance they were calling on him to show restraint, to understand the enemy and what we did to deserve the attacks, and to make friends, not war.

Rove is right. There are two ways to fight this war. The liberal method, similar to the Chamberlain method used in the 1930s, was utilized from 1992 through 2001. We see where that got us.

I like our current method better. People now know that we're not the 'Paper Tiger' Osama labeled us after Mogadishu.

Posted by: El Capitan on June 24, 2005 03:13 PM

brak :

I'm sure with world views like that, the point of Wells' WOTW is completely lost on him.

If he wanted to get his anti-american jollies in, he could have done so in the context of the story, just as the book provides a cautionary note to a 1900's Britain at the height of the Empire.

If true, not only is this guy a tard, he is certainly unfit to write a movie that would include the same themes as presented in the original text.

But hey, who cares about Wells' WOTW when you can bash US Troops.

Posted by: DelphiGuy on June 24, 2005 03:26 PM

Over at The Corner on NRO, Rich Lowry has the White House reaction to the lefties' outrage here. Apparently our Sith master feels that everything is proceeding just as he planned...

Posted by: utron on June 24, 2005 03:49 PM

Brak:

Speaking about movies with a political message. Don't you think the Zaphod Beeblebrox character in The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy was a less than subtle dig at GW? Zaphod's second head was clearly Carl Rove. At one point, while pointing out his cowboy boots that he got on earth, he even had a Texas drawl and a little smirk.

Posted by: Master of None on June 24, 2005 03:55 PM

Nothing would surprise me coming out of hollywood these days. I didn't see "Hitchhiker," but I'm not surprised. I just think it's funny in the way Delphi pointed out, that "War of the Worlds" had a cautionary anti-colonialism theme, but this writer felt the need to go and talk about iraq and insert that angle. It would have been braver of him to make it about Scientology. heh

Posted by: brak on June 24, 2005 04:10 PM

Any leftist indictment of the Bush Administration for the war in Iraq on the basis of the dangers of imperialism would be refreshing. That's dissent of the patriotic kind and worthy of respect if not agreement.

Instead we get the giant puppet heads.

(R)epublicans rose up to defend America and it's servicemen and women from (D)emocrat Party smears...

(D)emocrats rose up to defend MoveOn.org...

Posted by: DANEgerus on June 24, 2005 04:49 PM

The Rovians picked this fight in response to the Democrats' grotesque and excessive empathy for Gitmo terrorists.

Dems believe their own media, and think they are winning the argument. They aren't, and they should expect the same counterattack every time they disparage the US military or side with the enemy.

If they were smarter, they'd learn. But if they were smarter, they wouldn't be Democrats.

The conservatives are the cry babies. They're worried because troop morale is way down and we're losing the war.

See http://corruptionexposer.blogspot.com/.

Posted by: corruption exposer on June 24, 2005 07:16 PM

Do you guys realize that Stephen Pearcy, I mean the Stephen Pearcy just commented on Ace's site?

Guys, this is an honor.

I'm gonna cry.

Posted by: Slublog on June 24, 2005 07:48 PM

Well, the Corruption Exposer knows troop morale is low because...??? His Berkley friends say it's so? Because the Grey Lady says it's so? Or perhaps he knows someone serving. HA HA HA... sorry ... I crack myself up.

Posted by: carin on June 24, 2005 08:19 PM

Oh, yeah. He and his wife are legal whackjobs. They try to intimidate anyone who disagrees with them by threatening to sue.

Posted by: on June 24, 2005 09:32 PM

From "Corruption Exposer:"

My wife and I are both attorneys, and our addresses and telephone numbers are listed. Unlike the cowardly conservatives who anonymously use blogs to sucker punch liberals, we don't hide. And we stand behind what we say. The general purpose of this site is to provide accurate, truthful and credible information.
'Sucker punch.'

I like that.

I guess that's why he used the name 'corruption exposer' rather than his real name.

Posted by: Slublog on June 24, 2005 09:51 PM

Wait...did you say "sue?"

Uh, oh.

Posted by: Slublog on June 24, 2005 10:01 PM

On the web, half the blogs are f'ing lawyers.

No offense to the f'ing lawyers here of course.

Posted by: digitalbrownshirt on June 24, 2005 10:16 PM

If you read his essay regarding a conservative blog called "Bonfire" he notes early on that many conservatives are "just as dumb" as the blog's author. He further explains that the author is "too dumb" and towards the end expands on that point by observing that she would have to be "very dumb."

Fascinating stuff, in a Michael-Moore-wearing-a-Speedo kind of way.

"Unlike the cowardly conservatives who anonymously use blogs to sucker punch liberals, we don't hide."

Or perhaps it's only conservatives who have something to fear from moonbats who would only be too willing to vandalize, harass, and threaten.

Pop Quiz :

When was the last time a conservative threw food at a speaker in order to silence them?

When was the last time a liberal was assaulted at a conservative protest?

When was the last time conservatives vandalized a business or group that they disagreed with (ELF anyone)?

I maintain that conservatives are on the whole (we aren't without our crackpots) the party of adults.

Wonder how many abortion doctors are happy to publish their name and addresses publicly without fear from the Terry Randalls of the world? Are they cowards or do they just value their own safety from the loons that would do them harm.

Hah, sorry to post again, but I just went to another blog (right thinking from the left coast, a libertarian type blog), and saw this post :

Unlike the cowardly conservatives who anonymously use blogs to sucker punch liberals, we don't hide.

Which is pretty funny since for months you posted in comments on various blogs as "Corruption Exposer" and referred to yourself in the third person. lol!

Did you pick the name Corruption Exposer because you like to run around town wearing a cape and a little mask? Or, is it just because you like to zip it down, pull it out, and waive the littlest member of the bar around?

Posted by: on June 25, 2005 04:52 AM

Actually, I think that he and his wife enjoy exposing corruption by hanging up controversial anti-Bush displays at their Sacramento rental property (and who really cares what their prole Sacto neighbors think?--these people are lawyers, damnit!), then hightailing it back to Berkeley to bask in the warm glow of their actual neighbors' approval. How brave!

May God Bless and Keep the Pearcys! Truly, they are the courageous moral compass of Northern California!

How like republicans to support torture and murder and to invade countries that had nothing to do with harming us. How like repugs to believe any warmongering lies and fantasies that the ruling classes put out there for the ignorant to glom onto and obsess about. How like the repugs to prefer to napalm human beings than find out the truth. Sick MoFos. How like repugs to not even realize that they are being robbed blind and made fools of.

Posted by: Cass on June 25, 2005 07:59 AM

Hey Ace, I guess being a big radio star has its advantages. Free trolls!

Posted by: Iblis on June 25, 2005 09:22 AM

Keep up, cass. Invading Iraq took the Republican Guards out of power. People like you who shoot their mouths off about torture were more than happy for Saddam and his henchmen to continue stealing, torturing, and murdering people by the thousands -- up into the millions.
You must be so proud of yourself!

ps: ruling classes? learned this in marxism 101, no doubt.

I am a liberal and I want to assure each and every one of them that I neither intend nor have done our troops the slightest harm, nor would I. If I meant harm to our soldiers, I would send them to war on trumped up intelligence and then fail to equip them adequately.

Yes, I'm sure the body armor thing had you all worked up.
Support our murderous troops!

Posted by: on June 25, 2005 12:24 PM

Libs' concern for the military is laughable, especially after crawling up the ass of that Marine who shot an enemy he thought was playing dead. Any of us in similar circumstances wuld have done the same to be safe and not DEAD.

You guys were foaming at the mouth to INVESTIGATE! INVESTIGATE! somebody whose life is on the line for all of us.

Thank goodness he was acquitted.
Fuck you, fuck you very much.

Please don't try to make us believe you have concern for the troops when you jump ugly on them every fucking chance you get, for every mistake they make, and NEVER FUCKING CRITICIZE THE ENEMY.

Have you ever, ONCE, criticized the enemy for being barbarians? For endangering and killing civilians?
I could search liberal blogs for a hell of a long time to find a single post that indicts the enemy....WITHOUT then automatically nullifying that criticism with a description of how 'cruel' the US is.

Again: Fuck you.

Posted by: lauraw on June 25, 2005 12:41 PM

I mean, sincerely;
Can a single liberal actually say the words, "Al Quaeda is an evil organization," without their lips curling into a sneer at the absurdity of black/white moral pronouncements?

Can you do it, liberals? Or can you only do it when you replace 'Al Quaeda' with 'The Bush Administration'?

Do you see what I'm getting at here? McFly?
One more time; FUCK. YOU.

Posted by: lauraw on June 25, 2005 12:55 PM

Marblex -

The only time a liberal Democrat has been known to "support the troops" is when such support is used as a rhetorical vehicle to bash Bush for various deficiences.

Similar to how the Left holds rallies denouncing the US for Abu Ghraib, systemic human rights abuses, murdering innocent brown Afghani babies, cluster-bombing, using DU that destroys a whole country, seeking nuclear bunker busters to use on Iraqi farmers for thrill killings, killing whole villages for Halliburton - then the Lefties close their rally by solemnly reading the month's death tally - the names of the "beloved American Troops" whose lives were "wasted" for "Corporate America".

Yeah, sure you care about America!

People see right through it.

Similar to Lefty TV reporters that beg to have flag-covered coffins access so they can use them as photo op props a la Vietnam and wail to viewers about "America's children being squandered" "innocents (fools) who believed in patriotism - now look - they are dead for those beliefs", "Oh, the senselessness of War, Oh, the Humanity". The military is disgusted by it - but it does work on girls transitioning from ponies to larger "causes" that think with their heart rather than their brain, and self-centered guys who think that life is all about guarantees made to them....and national service is "soooo not about me, or for me".

Sorry, Marblex, soldiers are not "children". They don't go to war on little yellow school buses. They are not stupid people only needing an education in "lifes realities" from a post-grad gay vegetarian at an elite university. Most volunteer military go in with eyes wide open and soon encounter more of "Life's realities" in a year than Lefty will see in their lifetime.

Posted by: Cedarford on June 25, 2005 12:56 PM

Love all the concern for "not equiping the troops" as if this is the first Army ever in the history of warfare to go into combat missing something. After D-Day, the 101st Airborne did not get winter gear until after Bastogne, after they almost froze to death. The Army deployed to Korea in 1950 without cold weather clothes and had more casualties from trench foot and hypothermia than combat wounds. The first forces in Saudi during the first Gulf war had Vietnam-style jungle boots that let sand in; Swarzkopf had to design desert boots himself and demand they get issued. They all adapted and made due; just like now. We have the best trained and best equipped army in history-that doesn't mean everythings perfect. It never is.

Posted by: UGAdawg on June 25, 2005 01:00 PM

No, no, I'm sure that the US Military could be the only perfect organization on Earth, if it were headed up by Democrats.

Does anybody here remember our humanitarian mission to Somalia?

We just didn't have a 'plan' to win the 'peace' I guess....

Posted by: lauraw on June 25, 2005 01:05 PM

You go to war with the Army you've got.

Just like we did in 1941, with an underarmored, underarmed, gasoline powered main battle tank.

German tankers called them "Zippos", cause they never failed to light.

oh, speaking of fire, lauraw, you are on f'n' fire.

Cedarford,

Tell that to my husband who has been deployed since December, 2003. Tell that to my neighbor's husband and my other neighbor's son both of whom shipped out at the beginning of this year.

Since you claim to "support the troops" so well, why don't you enlist? The military has a recruitment shortage, or haven't you heard?

Posted by: Marblex on June 25, 2005 02:45 PM

Marblex - Tell that to my husband who has been deployed since December, 2003. Tell that to my neighbor's husband and my other neighbor's son both of whom shipped out at the beginning of this year.

So, you are speaking FOR them! Claiming what....that they agree with you that they are dupes fighting only because they were "lied to" and with "inadequate equipment" that is in a technology and tactics race with a thinking, adapting enemy??

Do you realize there is no perfect protection? That US soldiers still die in war despite "perfect equipment" for the technology and money at the time??

Since you claim to "support the troops" so well, why don't you enlist?

I did, lady, years before you began running your mouth off about what your husband and comrades "really think".

The military has a recruitment shortage, or haven't you heard?

That would be the recruitment shortage that "Peace Moms" such as yourself intended to help facilitate with your blubberings about "needlessly dying for Bush lies"? or your ignorant claims of "hopelessly inadequate equipment" that fails to protect against a 155mm artillery shell command detontated 10 feet away from a passing M-1 Tank or HUMVEE?

Posted by: Cedarford on June 25, 2005 03:42 PM

Marblex: on the internet, no one knows you're a dog -- or a liberal Chimplymcbushitler obsessive pretending to be married to a soldier deployed in Iraq in order to cut off disagreement using the Argument from Pity fallacy.

You know what though? Even if you are married to a military man in Iraq, the technique is invalid. You're still a Chimpymcbushitler obsessive, and you're also wrong.

Posted by: Andrea Harris on June 25, 2005 04:22 PM

Andrea made the point better than I would have.

Let's just say I doubt Marblex is married to a soldier.

Tell that to my husband who has been deployed since December, 2003.

Considering your disgraceful behavior, he's probably glad to be where he is. You need to stop being an embarrassment to your family before you get him killed with your uninformed peacenik crap.

Tell that to my neighbor's husband and my other neighbor's son both of whom shipped out at the beginning of this year.

How about I just tell it to MY husband, or his brother, or his wife, or my three brothers, or one sister, or my dad, or my father-in-law, or my uncles, or my nephews? Once I'm done with the family tree, then I can start with friends and neighbors. I'm laughing my azz off at you for pretending you even know any soldiers, much less understand why they've chosen to protect the likes of you.

Since you claim to "support the troops" so well, why don't you enlist?

Why don't YOU enlist instead of just sitting on your tail using your husband as a debate tactic?

The military has a recruitment shortage, or haven't you heard?

Gee, considering some of their wives sit at home bad-mouthing them, can you really wonder why?

Later,
bbeck

Rove is really a genius. He has the Dim-ocrats in a box. The only way they can slam him is to admit they are not Dim-ocrats but anti-american left wingers aligned with Soros and Moore. It was funny watching some anti-american left winger (Frost) try to associate the remarks to the dim-ocratic party. He got slammed by the documention showing the true anti-american actions of the lefties within hours of the attack on 9-11. I think the Dim-ocrats are in one of those damned if you do and damned if you don't situations. It's funny to watch them try and excape from the kitty litter box without stepping in it.

Regardless, check out the face. Not up to ThoseShirts.com standards. I hate to be cruel, but someone has to point out the obvious.

I'm just saying -- the body isn't everything. When you look in her eyes, you want to see some character. This T-shirt girl has none.

That's actually what turns us on. Eye contact with someone that is real. Most women overestimate the importance of their bodies, and underestimate the importance of eye contact.

ANOTHER LEFT WING ASSASSIN ATTEMPTS TO KILL TRUMP
If I understand this, the left-wing Democrat assassin attempted to get into the White House Correspondents Association dinner, and was stopped at the magnetometers, which detected his gun. I guess he pulled out the gun and was shot by Secret Service agents.
Erika Kirk was present.

Important Message from Recent Convert to Christianity and Yet Super-Serious Christian Tuq'r Qarlson: Actually Muslims love Jesus, it's Trump and his neocons who hate him
Tucker Carlson Network
@TCNetwork

The people in charge [Jews, of course -- ace] don't want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus.

Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. That's why Donald Trump's painting depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran. It was an attack on his religion as well as Christianity.

Trump's trolling tweet was ill-advised, but Tucker is just lying when he claims the Christianity-hating President of Iran was "offended" by this.
He's one step away from announcing his official conversion to Islam. He literally never stops praising Islam. Well, he suddenly became Christian two years ago, there's not much stopping him from converting again.
You can track Tuq'r's official conversion to Islam with this Bingo card.
