What Were You Doing When You Heard the Koran Had Been Flushed?

Funny:

"I was on my way to Owen's Pharmacy to pick up medication for my acid reflux, " she said. "When the man on the radio said that a Quran may have been subjected to deliberate and willful binding overflex. I looked at my own self, and said life is so short."

Campbell said she went home and hugged her own books, "not taking any of them for granted."

24 year-old Josh Lupine noted similar reactions on his part.

"I remember studying about the German death camps in school by watching Schindler's List," he said. "It took days for me to get the implied images out of my mind. Then the other day, our coach pulls us aside in the middle of a varsity game and told us about Quran's having bookmarks removed from select 'kill the infidel' passages. I literally felt the cold winds of the Third Reich blowing through that game."

Ironically enough, when I first heard the news of this atrocity, I was in the bathroom, flushing a toilet.

My wife called to me from the living room, relating the all-too-harsh realities delivered by the brave newscaster who, with tears in her eyes, recounted the harrowing tale.

I couldn't hear any of what she was saying, though, because (damn my healthy colon!) I was ... flushing.

The eerie parallel really hit home that day, I tell you.

Interestingly enough, they sell little miniature copies of the Koran over here where I live that the locals hang from their rear view mirrors.

As I was looking at one today, I couldn't help but think that it might be a suitable size for flushing.

This could be a good idea for business. Anyone interested let me know.

I'm now paying a security agency to station an armed guard next to my collection of Reader's Digest Condensed Books.

Yeah, I was taking a crap, too. And how come the person who uses the last page never replaces it? There's 12 of them in the hall closet, for criss sakes!

Hmm, that "n" escaped.

When I heard about the Koran being flushed down the toilet, I was actually reading the Koran while urinating.

In retrospect, it does seem odd to me now.

I was wandering the Holyest of Holys, the county library. The Librarian in charge told the hushed crowd of the atrocity over the Public Announcement system. Despite her low conversational tone, the sheer horror of the situation and setting, spinning amongst alll those precious books, made me dizzy.
Canterbury Tales, Adventures of Huck Finn, The Autobiography of Ulyssies S Grant, - there, but for the grace of God, un flushed.
The rows of volumns after volumns closed in on me. I found myself feeling the sensation of being flushed .
Gasping for air, I ran for the exit when a boney hand with chipped fingernail polish grabbed me by the shoulder. It was the same head Librarian, and she said two words that will haunt me forever.

"Walk Please"

You got it Ms. Librarian lady. Words to live by.

All I got was to read it on some blog. (Sigh)

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.
The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite.
Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
