A Muslim Calls For Respect For Other Faiths, Too

Read the whole thing.

Not just because what he says is eminently sensible, but because it's always important to remember there are a lot of Muslims on the right side in this fight -- both actual and ideological -- as well.

The problem is not guys like this, obviously. its the guys who will beat or kill this dude for writing that.

And I bet they know each other, too.

I think it's consistent with the constitution to deport or jail anyone who would advocate violent insurrection agains tthe gov't. Let's start enforcing that law again, and get some of the radical mosque members on tape.

They love the Darb al-Islam so much? Give em a one way ticket.

No, there are a lot of Muslims who say they're on the right side in this fight. Whether they really are or not is uncertain, because of Islam's doctrine that it's perfectly all right to deceive an "infidel" as long as it's for the benefit of Islam or Muslims. The Arabic term for this is "taqiyya" or "taqqiya," or, when the tactic is used in a political context, "kitman."

"Judge a tree by its fruits"

The guys sentiments are spot on, but he's probably considered a heretic. Islam can't grow as he'd like it to. Islam has always been an oppressing religion, it has never been systematically oppressed as Judaism and Christianity have. So its inflexible to the point of brittleness.
Like other oppressive ideologies, it brooks no competition. Look at how the communist states and secular soc1alist states drove religion (Christianity) and competing philosophies out of the public square. Like those other oppressive systems, Islam can't have competion because competing philosophies point out its flaws and in doing so raise questions Islam has no mechanism to deal with other than the sword.
It also lacks the tradition of questioning and interpretation that Christianity inherited from Judaism. Ironic considering Islam is a watered down hodgepodge of Christianity and Judaism.

If you can find it, an interesting book is
The Life and Religion of Mohammed by J.L. Memezes S.J.
This is the book C.A.I.R. bullied National Review's book service into banning (While keeping the highly inflamatory Sword of the Prophet go figure), so its noteworthy for that. Despite the hype (and the fact C.A.I.R. wants it banned), its an even handed criticism of Islam. Amazon doesn't carry it BTW.

Oh and ace, you gotta fix the stupid word filter

Interesting, well appreciated (by me) comments, Iblis. Same as to those by Francis (^^).

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.
The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite.
Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
