Pranking the "Governor" of Washington

Accounting students begin with "Accounting" on their mortarboards, but when the "Governor" takes the stage, they switch up their message.

Thanks to NickS.

the link is not working

Very funny.

Tink, I think his site's getting swamped - I'm pretty sure I saw a trackback from Michelle Malkin's site.

Who says accountants have no sense of humor?

Trial starts, finally, in two weeks. It will be great. The liberals will go batshit again when the results are invalidated.

Posted by: Dogstar on May 9, 2005 04:27 PM

It looks like the pics are working now. At least the links from Malkin worked.

At least they're actually trying to do something in Washington. I remember when Dave Dinkins crew got ahold of the list of dorming students at Fordham U, and registered the lot of them in Co-Op city. Not a damn thing happened.

As the GDDLiveout.org webmaster you can shoot me an e-mail for the original photos (5.1 Megapixel) if you wish to save my bandwidth. We are alway open to rehosting these picture because this is something that will last forever. I could not believe this happened and I was glad my rommates brother was there to capture the whole thing!

I'll get this right someday, sorry about the comment spam

Yeah, it was funny, but . . . You can call me a dinosaur, but if the (nominal temporarily legal) governor of your state shows up to honor your commencement, I think he should be treated with courtesy, hospitality and respect.

Maybe there is hope on the American college campus!

Towards Michael's comment - half of the state didn't want her in office. And they still don't if not even more people don't because of all the crap she's been doing these past few months. She doesn't even listen to local talk radio because she knows she's getting slammed daily about the whole recount thing. I think what the college did is hilarious and just because someone else invited her to something, doesn't mean that she's welcome.

So what. She is the governor, and she gave her time to honor these graduates. I think she deserved to be treated with respect.

Posted by: Michael on May 10, 2005 10:27 PM

Michael, she's NOT the governor. She did not receive the most legal votes. Most Washingtonians believe the election was flawed and want a revote. Most Washingtonians who voted did not vote for her. The evidence of fraud is overwhelming.

The idea that someone must be respected simply because they occupy the office, regardless of how they got there, is ridiculous. Would you argue that Saddam Hussain must be respected? Kim Jung Il (or whatever)? Mugabe? The dude who WASN't poisoned in the Ukraine?

We are not required to bow down before our leaders, and we will not do that. This is a democracy, and the Constitution guarantees our right to express ourselves.

These students showed initiative, creativity and restraint. They did not disrupt the event. I think it was the perfect protest- noticable, but without interrupting anyone.

Posted by: Dogstar on May 11, 2005 12:11 AM

Michael,
they didn't throw food or chant silly insults so she couldn't be heard. They did it with class and wit and without making a scene. Of course, since I live in Seattle and will be paying all the new taxes they added (12.5% increase) on since she took office, I may not be totally objective.

So I asume that we should not show Bush respect because his dad's supporters on the Supreme Court and his brother and his appointees stole the election for him in 2000? Gore won the popular vote. That means that the majority of the voters wanted Gore, so Bush wasn't really the president for 4 years?
