I'm So Glad We've All Decided That Terri Schiavo Is Not a Political IssueThe media freaked over the crude political talking points drawn up by Mel Martinez's moronic aid. Think they'll be similarly offended by Dr. Howard "Genius" Dean's statement that he intends to use Terri as a political weapon?: "'We're going to use Terri Schiavo later on,' Dean said of the brain-damaged Floridian who died last month after her feeding tube was removed amid a swarm of political controversy. Three quick points: 1) Hypocrisy. 2) Media double-standards and bias. 3) Howard Dean is an f'n' moron, and we're gonna have some fun the next several years. posted by Ace at 06:06 PM
CommentsYou forgot: 4) YEEEAAAARRGH!!!!! Posted by: Beck on April 16, 2005 06:41 PM
I thought that went without saying, Beck. Posted by: ace on April 16, 2005 06:43 PM
Hey, remember when people were saying that maybe we should be wary of Dean? That he was going to surprise us all and end up being a gaffe-free, disciplined, tough DNC chairman? Yeah, I remember that too. And it makes each Deaniac outburst over the past few months that much more fucking sweet. Posted by: Jeff B. on April 16, 2005 06:53 PM
You're right Howard Dean is an IDIOT! I just wish he sounded funny to me. I'll rely on you to show the humour in it. P.S... Words of encouragement help, since this is my first comment ever here! Does that make me an idiot? Posted by: Terri on April 16, 2005 06:55 PM
Other than the fact that your comment read like it shambled out of the Spambot thread, no. Posted by: Jeff B. on April 16, 2005 06:57 PM
FUCK. GODDAMN WEBPAGE - HOW DOES IT GET THAT EMAIL IN THERE? This is Goldstein's fault, I think. It just has to be. Posted by: Jeff B. on April 16, 2005 06:58 PM
Few thoughts: 1) Where's Cedarford to weigh in on this? We need an explanation of how her brain cells were liquified, traditional conservatives and paleocons will rue the day they let RTLs dominate the GOP. Is this strategy of Howard Dean the brilliant counterpunch to the GOP's missteps on the Schiavo case? I mean, the RTLs were using Schiavo as a political football, but the DNC is using Schiavo as a badge of honor and principle (otherwise known as a political football). Terri, Welcome from lurking. Words of encouragement help, since this is my first comment ever here! Does that make me an idiot? Everyone here, including the proprietor, is a bit of an idiot. It's a point of pride. Posted by: ace on April 16, 2005 07:23 PM
There is no doubt that Howard will give us much fun. I guess Dean thought that a guy who had a girlfriend and two children by said mistress was more of a "loved one" than her parents and siblings. Posted by: Rightwingsparkle on April 16, 2005 07:26 PM
It's going to be interesting to see hw this latest Dean gaffe plays out, in the MSM and the blogosphere. Personally, I'm kind of torn. On the one hand, it's infuriating that Dean is probably going to get a pass on a statement that's just as dumb as anything that came out of Martinez' office, and arguably a lot more crass. On the other hand, if people in the dextrohemisphere raise a big enough stink about Dean's ongoing gaffe-fest, the Dems might just get rid of him. And that would be a catastrophe. I want Dean to lead the Democratic Party for years and years to come. Howard Dean--Party Chair for Life! That's a slogan I could line up behind. And KCTrio--if you're really hoping that the Nameless One will drop in for yet another chat/screed, then I would respectfully suggest that your own brain cells must have liquefied. ;-) Posted by: utron on April 16, 2005 07:40 PM
Dean is the man! The guy writes the jokes himself. You know, everyone seems to think his being a doctor is evidence of mental horsepower. Didn't he go to one of those caribbean medical schools where the only entry requirement is a check the clears? Posted by: rdbrewer on April 16, 2005 07:45 PM
Well, after watching these things for four straight days in Seattle, what the hell would you expect to have happened to my brain cells? If you were so endowed, you'd have your pick of any woman you wanted, and you could give up your maniacal obsession with Bjork;) Posted by: KCTrio on April 16, 2005 07:51 PM

I am so sorry I clicked on that, KCTrio. I used to love clams, and now I won't be able to eat them even as a bar bet.* And my obsession with Bjork is not maniacal. I have a maniacal obsession with Audrey Hepburn (or I would, if she were: A--alive; and B--about sixty years younger). My obsession with Bjork is sedate and low-key; I figure she's maniacal enough for both of us. *The Salish Indians regarded the geoduck clam as a sacred, totemic animal. The Salish Indians also used steambaths. Coincidence? You decide. Posted by: utron on April 16, 2005 08:02 PM
Holy crap! That's a clam? I knew there was a reason I hated those things. Posted by: Slublog on April 16, 2005 08:09 PM
Just give it a few months and Dean will be out waving his dick at traffic on K Street. Posted by: Sean M. on April 16, 2005 08:11 PM
So it's okay to have an obsession with a dead actress? Because I have been in love with Audrey since I first saw "My Fair Lady." Yes, I've seen it a few times. Shut up, all of you. It's a good movie, and Audrey is so damn cute in it. Yes, I did kind of like the songs. Want to make something of it?!? "All I want is a room somewhere...far away from the cold night air... That's not a clam. That's clam trying to eat someone's mannage. Posted by: rdbrewer on April 16, 2005 08:12 PM
Not only is it a clam, it's also the mascot of Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. And their fight song? Go geoducks go Lovely. Posted by: KCTrio on April 16, 2005 08:17 PM
Slublog, my last serious relationship was with a woman who quite consciously modeled herself after Audrey in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Getting involved with someone who thinks Holly Golightly is a role model turned out to be a really bad idea, but she looked so damn cute when she sang "Moon River"... Eighty-eight "abuse" allegations from 2001-2003 against the Evil Penis-wielding Husband - , all found without merit by the Florida DCF. Jeb Bush ordered them to investigate 30 more from RTL and more Schindler complaints filed from Feb 18th-20th, 2005. Most going back to allegations, like the originals....from the late 80's, early 90s, all curiously forgotten by the Schindlers and their RTL followers until 10 years later. Investigation costs? 300,000 so far. But like with false rape accusations, false abuse charges are considered a "free shot" against a husband in Florida. With the autopsy coming soon showing the Schindler tape and the "Happy, aware, talking" Terri was just deceitful BS.
The Religious Right's insistance that Big Government can reach in and control family behaviors may be as big a liability as Big Brother gun control was for the Dems in the 90s. I think the Republicans went nuts pandering to extreme elements of the Religious Right and abandoned most of what they believed in. And took tremendous political falling far Randall Terry's and the Schindlers duping of them. Watch the polls on the Bushs, and DeLay (who led them into the Schiavo trainwreck) after the autopsy is revealed. Posted by: Cedarford on April 16, 2005 09:51 PM
Ace, Thanks for the fair warning. Be careful what you wish for. Cedarford you're an idiot! Posted by: Terri on April 16, 2005 09:55 PM
See, utron, I told you it would happen. And you thought my brain was liquified. In all honesty, did you really think that my first observation was a wish for this, or simply a statement that it was inevitable? And thanks for the correction on Bjork. I'll now consider your interest in her grounded in sanity. Posted by: KCTrio on April 16, 2005 09:59 PM
Wow. That's a whole lot of BS in one shot, CF. The issue is that the Democrats, after complaining about how the Republicans turned Schiavo into a political issue, are now turning Terri into a political issue. Personally, I think given the fact that there's almost nothing about Schiavo on the news now and that in order to make an issue of it, Democrats would have to remind people of the controversy, there's very little potential political gain for either party. Especially since we now have Howard Dean on record talking about what a great political issue it would be. Posted by: Slublog on April 16, 2005 10:00 PM
KC, this is one of those things you shouldn't even joke about. Our simple farming ancestors knew this. They never looked around and said things like, "Hmm. Wonder what happened to the corn blight this year? Usually shows up right about now..." We have much to learn from the traditions of our ancestors, many of whom were Nordic and some of whom weren't Jews. Posted by: utron on April 16, 2005 10:09 PM
utron: I stand corrected. I suppose I may have broken a rule of some sort, mentioning the menace by its name is as bad as wishing for it. Thanks. But as you said, my brain was liquified. Now, Terri, I'm going to provide you with a little quote from one of Ronald Reagan's old radio commentaries that he delivered and wrote himself (pre-presidency). You can, I am quite sure, infer the comparison I'm making to Reagan's commentary and your post. This from the essay, entitled "Castro," was written July 15, 1978: You know, calling the average man a liar is a pretty drastic charge and the average man reacts with vehemence when his veracity is so questioned. But calling a communist a liar when he is one is pretty frustrating. How do you insult a pig by calling it a pig? Communists are not bound by our morality. They say any crime including lying is moral if it advances the cause of social-ism That is Karl Marx as interpreted by Lenin. Posted by: KCTrio on April 16, 2005 10:23 PM
IF Dean wants to use Terri Shiavo won't he have to buy the rights from Michael? Posted by: vivi on April 16, 2005 10:29 PM
KC... my apologizes. You are right. "How do you insult a pig by calling it a pig?" I'll never call Cederford a pig again. Posted by: Terri on April 16, 2005 10:32 PM
Thanks, Terri. On behalf of pigs everywhere, we'd really appreciate that. Posted by: utron on April 16, 2005 10:39 PM
Ace: How many pride points has he who shall not be named gained by this most recent post and Terri's weighing in on its merits? Posted by: KCTrio on April 16, 2005 10:52 PM
Terri - I think you are doing a fine job honoring your "namesake". Most of your brain appears to be dead and liquified away as well. Sublog - There is a difference, sublog...between one party making something an inappropriate political event....the Schiavo Affair, the Wellstone Funeral Rally....and the other side hammering them for it/ As for news, it is in all the papers that 88 false accusations of abuse were made against Michael Schiavo by the Schindlers and others. 30 more Schindler and RTL accusations were added by the DCF in Florida, despite being the same sort of disproven charges, by Jeb Bush's urging, last month. The big week will be the release of the Schaivo autopsy, coupled with discussions of how the public, or more appropriately, Christians and Republicans of a conservative bent got duped and went after the husband as Scott Peterson II. How the Republicans play damage control on their fuck-up will be important when the autopsy reveals how badly the Schindlers and Randall Terry were lying and how the Republicans went along the tracks to the train wreck in pandering to their Religious Right base. Posted by: Cedarford on April 16, 2005 10:57 PM
utron: I am now learning a rather painful lesson. Posted by: KCTrio on April 16, 2005 11:04 PM
Hey... He who shall remain nameless, I thought you types were respectful of the "death process". If that was meant as an insult, I would think it beneath you to use the dead to make your points. But I digress. I'm proud to have the same name, spelling and all. It's truly an honour in my book! Posted by: Terri on April 16, 2005 11:05 PM
I forgive you KC... Next time I'll be more cautious about name dropping, I promise! Posted by: Terri on April 16, 2005 11:07 PM
Very well done, Terri. But you will only be emboldening the man, not abashing him. Posted by: KCTrio on April 16, 2005 11:09 PM
Good Lord, he really is a moron. Whether you're a Democrat or not, you can't help but notice that Dean is a political retard. Posted by: Squatch on April 16, 2005 11:12 PM
Terri: I dropped the name. You simply countered with logic. But thanks. I really did do a terrible thing. Now, where can I find a qualified exorcist? I understand that the Church is running in short supply. They've set up a course at Rome’s Regina Apostolorum to provide priests with this sort of training. Apparently, it takes 8 weeks to complete the course. Posted by: KCTrio on April 16, 2005 11:15 PM
I think you are doing a fine job honoring your "namesake". Most of your brain appears to be dead and liquified away as well. Wow. You're really a hateful bastard. I had some further points to make, as there's a good debate to be had over the legacy of Terri Schiavo, but that would be throwing pearls before swine. Unlike Andrew Sullivan, I'm really not a hard guy to offend. Congratulations - you've managed it quite well. I don't believe I wish to continue our conversation. Posted by: Slublog on April 16, 2005 11:16 PM
Sorry...in my anger, I mis-spoke. What I meant to say is that I'm quite a difficult person to offend. Posted by: Slublog on April 16, 2005 11:19 PM
you're an idiot! Ah, yes. I see the newbie's mixing it up first day. Recruits coming outta camp fresh and angry these days. I remember when I was like that. Bright eyed commenter gonna win this war for our side in the threads. Guess seeing a lotta good men fall away took some of that outta me. Guess I've seen too much... Damn this thing! When's it gonna end! Damn it all! Anyway, here's to ya newbie. In the beginning, stick to Slu, Utron... one of the vets when the shit gets heavy. They'll see ya through. Good luck kid. You're gonna need it. Posted by: Ray Midge on April 16, 2005 11:37 PM
Well, I don't mind saying I'm a hard guy to offend. In fact, let's just make it clear that I'm hard, period. And that's just the f'ing way it is. Posted by: BobDolesCock on April 16, 2005 11:40 PM
Terri: One more thing. It was I who missed your use of the word "idiot." You were, I believe, merely echoing Ace's welcome to you from your initial entry comment. I posted the Reagan quote to make a comparison, having missed why you chose the word. I wasn't in any way trying to diss you at all. Posted by: KCTrio on April 16, 2005 11:46 PM
I think ACE himself got caught up in this issue and made 2 mistakes: 1. Not thinking this was a Religious Right driven matter but broader based. 2. Thinking that marriage vows required M Schiavo to either make a choice to abandon Terri to her parents care and move on with his life OR - remain "faithful" to his wedding vows and not seek love and a nurturing relationship elsewhere since Terri was still "his". And in believing the Schindlers were not religious psychos but folks with her best interests at heart. The polls show that this is mostly a Religious Right issue. The Schindlers are being shown as more than a little nutso with testimony when they said they didn't care what her wishes were, only their pleasure in keeping her alive, even if that meant multilating her in the future. Also with gathering evidence much of what they said was lies. It - if true - makes M Schiavos choice one where if he loved and honored his wife - he couldn't just walk away and abandon her to psycho in-laws. And the lawyers and the Schindlers said that divorce meant the Court might award custody to the Schindlers because their extreme religious beliefs could not be considered as disqualifiers. Since the Schindlers have been examined by the courts and the guardian ad litems though, their factual misrepresentations to the Court and testimony they could care less what T Schiavo wanted has made them to be considered unfit to be guardians by one Court and by Jeb Bush's Guardian ad Litem....if M Schiavo was to relinquish guardianship, there was never serious consideration to award custody to the Schindlers. Only to an independent guardian. Even the Catholic Church allows annulment if one partner is permanently unable to fulfill the mental and physical vows of marriage. They also have dispensation for remarriage for abandonment. About the same time Terri Schiavo effectively died in 1990, M. Scott Speicher's F-18 went down in the Gulf War. He was classified as MIA, little hope of survival of recovery. Two years later, Mrs. Speicher, accepting there was little or no hope, began dating. She had two kids subsequently, like M Schiavo, and in her case, remarried in 1996. Like with the Vietnam MIAs, the military keeps her, the former wife, as the principle decision-maker in matters of remains, estate matters, status updates, who must sign formal requests ....not strip them of those privileges and give them to the parents if the spouse remarries. How this plays out in politics remains to be seen, but it looks like Republicans are in serious damage control to show they do not seek to impose theocracy... Posted by: Cedarford on April 17, 2005 12:02 AM
Sublog - Wow. You're really a hateful bastard. Fuck off, Sublog. Terri came into this thread with 2 posts devoted to ad hominem attacks on me. So that gives me some dibs to slam her back. Before that I didn't know her from Adam. And better to be a smart bastard than a stupid one that projects "hatred" and other feelings on others. Posted by: Cedarford on April 17, 2005 12:08 AM
Terri: Ace has warned me about putting poetry in the comments section, but I'm going to try and do this with a strange spin. Read all of the string of posts by that special someone, and instead of taking them in as mishmash, think of them as rare gifts that must be treasured. He that binds himself to a joy, Instead of hatred and malice, think of these posts as reminders of why life is special, and we can learn from everyone, sometimes even from those who harbor beliefs that seem bereft of heart. And from these paleocnos, there is much to learn in this regard. Posted by: KCTrio on April 17, 2005 12:22 AM
Simmer down there he who shall remain nameless...You sure are sensitive. Sensitivity tends to come from a deep seeded sense of guilt. Now, Ace, I have a bone to pick. I just sent a comment that was refused because I used a word to describe certain man-to-man emotions Jeff and Bill were having with you. But it wasn't allowed because of the word I used. But this nameless person gets to use the word FUCK. FUCK THAT! Posted by: Terri on April 17, 2005 12:22 AM
Terri: It's the comment filter. It disallows words such as those that contain references to erectile disfunction drugs. So, the word "social-ist" can't be posted without the hyphen, because it'll be blocked. If I'm not mistaken, the Web portal giant Yahooey can't get posted either, without something like the "ey" on the end. The best advice I can offer in this regard is, before you post a comment, esepcially one that you've thought out and took time to craft, is to highlight the thing, links, bold text and italics, by right-clicking and choosing "select all." Then, copy the post, and save it on your clipboard. This way, you'll have your post intact. When you get the rejection notice, it'll tell you the word you used that caused the block. That way, you can find the word by pasting your comment into notepad and editing the word that caused your comment to be blocked. Then re-post simply by pasting the emended comment. I don't think there is much ground upon which ace can fix this. It's built into the Blog tools he's using. I may be wrong on this, but the workaround is the only solution I've found. Because when you choose "back" after your comment's been blocked, the text is gone, and you either have to save it or recreate it. The block doesn't try to screen out foul language; rather, it tries to block spam-type words. That's my guess. So you can write "fuck" and "shit," but not the ones built into the blocking routine. Posted by: KCTrio on April 17, 2005 12:34 AM
KC: I never took it that way... As we say on the west coast, "It's all good." And a little aside.... are you flirting with me? But seriously, thanks but I'm really not angry. I just sort of enjoy watching pigs spin in the wind. Ray: Ah huh, I maybe a newbie...BUT I'VE BEEN YELLING AT THE COMPUTER AND THE IDIOT ASS COMMENTS FOR A VERY, VERY LONG TIME. I just figured that if Ace was willing to subject himself to the "admirations" of Jeff and Bill and get hazed for not giving out his personal shit, the least I could do was to join the insanity. Sort of lend my support, as pathetic as it is. Posted by: Terri on April 17, 2005 12:36 AM

I truly feel save in the presence of KC, sublog, and utron... Thanks! Posted by: Terri on April 17, 2005 12:44 AM
Hey Cedarford, Regarding the whole Schiavo mess, I think it was a lot more than religious issues. For me, it was whether she had full legal due process. Given that it seems there was doubts about whether her case was fully considered, I fully back the action of congress asking for a review. When an inmate goes for execution and they get a last minute reprieve over a legal matter, nobody starts kicking and screaming that it was driven by religion. Furthermore, any questions about the legitimacy of the legal matters under question is a reason for an appeal and a re-examination of the facts. Shouldn't we at least give the disabled the same rights? Good point on the Scott Speicher case! Posted by: DelphiGuy on April 17, 2005 12:46 AM
Oh, and as for Dean, I'd love to see them run with that, but to be correct, it should be a) A picture of Delay with "Do you want this guy to support your right to life" b) A picture of Dean (or maybe a judge) with "Do you want this guy to determine that you should die" Seems the Dems forgot that the whole reason the memo talked about politicizing the Schiavo case was because the GOP had the high ground on the issue. Posted by: DelphiGuy on April 17, 2005 12:49 AM
I think Cedarford is cute. He reminds me of an abused puppy who, despite all previous evidence to the contrary, keeps rubbing up against you in the hope that maybe this time you won't lift his tail and put out a cigarette in his ass. Pets are the best. Posted by: Andrew on April 17, 2005 12:50 AM

Midge is right, babe: these foxhole romances are pure poison. There's no time for that touchy-feely stuff, not when the enemy's potshotting your buddies one by one. You need to watch "Red Dawn" a few more times. Posted by: utron on April 17, 2005 01:23 AM
Got it. You're a good woman Terri. Damn good. Make a fighting man's thoughts turn to lace and soft things, soft words. When this bloody thing's over, I will find you. Til then... Posted by: Ray Midge on April 17, 2005 01:27 AM
Fuck off, Sublog. Before that I didn't know her from Adam. And better to be a smart bastard than a stupid one that projects "hatred" and other feelings on others. Come on Ray and Utron... Give me a break! We got some in-fighting here. Nameless was feeling guilty for slamming the newbie female, wasn't he? I'm on your side. I ain't trying to get you shot. I feel like I'm in a bad version of Full Metal Jacket. And as a great orator once said, "I don't know you from Adam. I don't even know Adam." Posted by: on April 17, 2005 01:37 AM
Listen nameless, you come wandering in here mouthing Thursday's passwords, talking that one big team mumbo jumbo, won't let anyone see your dogtags. Now I got a good idea who I'm dealing with, but why don't you step into the light and easy my worries. And keep your hands up where I can see 'em til then. Posted by: Ray Midge on April 17, 2005 01:44 AM
What the hell is going on on my site? What is this? Plato's Retreat? Posted by: ace on April 17, 2005 01:48 AM
April, the only real enemy in this long, long twilight struggle is the one whose name begins with smelly lumber and ends with a crappy car. As long you as avoid those mistakes, it should be easy to pick a less surreptitious identity. Otherwise you've got 75 more days of girlie names to look forward to. Posted by: utron on April 17, 2005 01:49 AM
Step into the light? Are you talking to me Ray? I'll let you see my dogtags. I swear... I'm up against the wall with both my hands held real, real high. Is there like a time frame - I can't mouth Thursday's passwords until when? How many days do I have to comment before I've past boot camp? Posted by: Terri on April 17, 2005 01:50 AM
Sorry Ace, Not Plato's Retreat... they've got me in a foxhole and I can't get out! Posted by: Terri on April 17, 2005 01:57 AM
Sorry baby, didn't recognize you. And the shelling makes you jumpy after awhile. Jezzuz, look at that, I'm shakin! Sorry, you do this shit so long you forget there's an easy way, easy life, anything... nice. You don't gotta prove anything anymore. You made it; your one of us. Just don't lose all that sweetness out here. Don't let it make you hard like us. Posted by: Ray Midge on April 17, 2005 01:58 AM
Jesus H. Christ Chicken in a Basket. I run out for smokes and cream, and there's 20 new comments. And I miss out on the action? Ray's right. Take threads with 20 posts by he who shall not be named, and try to engage, then you've graduated from bootcamp. Terri: I was NOT flirting with you. The thought of such of a thing would probably send chills down the spine of 99% of the women on this Blog. Plus, I have been married for 15 years and have a lovely wife and three kids. I'm just being me (and that's a pain in the ass enough for most of these folks. Let's just say that I'm tenuously tolerated around this place). But I do have a natural tendency to come to the aid of a person that I believe is being treated like shit in the forum. And on this one, that's what I was doing. It's not flirting. Plus, take a look at the fucking giant geoduck photo link I posted. Does that look like a post someone would make that wished to endear himself to anyone? Plus, look at my suggestion to Rightwingsparkle. That woman is solid gold, a person of character and decency. And she rightfully smacked me down, and did it with grace. Classic for her. Bootcamp comment retracted. Head hanging low. Terri, I am humbled by your presence here. Posted by: KCTrio on April 17, 2005 02:05 AM
Thanks for clearing that up KC. It was the poetry that threw me. And congratulations on the wife and children. I did eventually see that you were looking out for the little people and I thanked you for it. In fact, I think I said that I was feeling a little like Ann Coulter watching the pathetic pie throwers get a smack down. Again, thanks for making me feel welcome. I've been gun shy about opening my mouth and you made it easier on me and you didn't need to. Posted by: Terri on April 17, 2005 02:12 AM
Well, as for my part, I WAS flirting. Just comes out sad like that. For all concerned. Anyway. Good to have another female hereabouts. The ladies come, but they often do not stay. As they say, you ladies fall for the blogger bad boys, but you marry the instapundits. Take care. Enjoy the 'War Letters.' Oh, and you can lower your hands now. Posted by: Ray Midge on April 17, 2005 02:23 AM
Damn Ray... I ain't going anywhere. I may not have commented but I've been "lurking" behind the scenes. Now that I've come into the light, I think I'll stay. I just might wait a few months and avoid those flamethrowers. Don't want to be too COCKY. You know? Posted by: Terri on April 17, 2005 02:28 AM
Damn Ray, you never admit to the flirting. Now look what happened. You've gone and upset the host! This is my first time out of the bag and I already feel like I'm wrecking havoc. Me so sorry... Posted by: Terri on April 17, 2005 02:35 AM
Terri: The poetry part was my pitiful attempt to show that he who's name shall not be uttered places comments on this Blog, and to brush them aside as larded bullshit may be expedient, but they do give us something from which we can learn. In a word, I was trying to be funny (not ha ha funny, just ironic). I think lauraw said it best with her depiction of this certain person as our own little paleotroll pet. I just took a lame slant on the same concept. Andrew: I believe you may owe lauraw some credit for your brilliant depiction of he who's name shall not be uttered. Perhaps you came up with your brilliant smackdown entirely on your own, but just in case, here's my evidence, both written by lauraw. First: At the risk of pleasing him, I have to say that Cedarbyotch really is an interesting fellow. Our very own paleo-conservative troll pet. We do share some bedrock values, but he loses us when he goes on his loopy International Jew Conspiracy rants. A relic from the worst days of the Republican party; isolationist, protectionist and irrelevant. Second: I don't belong on that list, I usually just hurl juvenile insults and congratulate others on their (better thought out) Cedarboob takedowns. Cedarford, you nutty racist bint. Your mother gives BJ's to Jews in Hell. Posted by: KCTrio on April 17, 2005 02:41 AM
It's amazing how efficiently the Terri Schiavo case gets the Leftoids in touch w/ their Inner Satans. We all know Dean the Scream is unstable and boorish. Now i must confess that i just skip Cf's long-winded vanity posts as pretentious and cynical talking points. Posted by: on April 17, 2005 02:49 AM
Damn Ray, you never admit to the flirting I know. But it's Saturday, it's late... even still, I feel strange - a little dirty. But in a good way. Back to business tomorrow. Game face and such. Posted by: Ray Midge on April 17, 2005 02:49 AM
I'm with you KC... I prefer the juvenile smack downs the best! Posted by: Terri on April 17, 2005 02:50 AM

Howard Dean, thenew doctor of death! "with a picture of Tom DeLay saying, 'Do you want this guy to decide whether you die or not? Or is that going to be up to your loved ones?'" And Deano, the "not" would be what? Live? He makes it sound as if dying is the goal, and that we should be worried that some nasty man will keep that from happening. Thus, Dr. Death to the rescue. It is obvious to me, Howard Dean is brain dead. Posted by: Richard on April 17, 2005 11:22 AM

KCTrio - Cedarford, you nutty racist bint. Your mother gives BJ's to Jews in Hell. Maybe so, but if she is, she is charging the Jews a hefty fee. However, your mother is giving them out for free, just like she did with you when you were growing up and having difficulty getting dates. Though I hear your mother is charging for Greek, rimjobs, and "full service" to Muslims down in Hell disappointed that they didn't go to Paradise and collect 72 Virgins. Gives the Muslims something to do besides fighting with Jews down there about who owns what shitty patch of Hell and haggling with them over the price of merchandise or who is the bigger rip-off artist. The Christians down there soon realize that the real punishment of Hell is being stuck watching the Arab and Jewish Semites go at it.

DelphiGuy - Most end of life decisions - by their time limitations - cannot be given justice by endless due process, or clearly favor the side arguing for continued heroic medical intervention or inaction until the issue is moot. I favor clear rules and fast, effective, but certain and final adjudications if necessary - when families can't decide. I favor the people, vs. the bureaucrats or theocrats or lawyers - to set up those rules. Think of it this way. If you think courts and endless due process at a cost of hundreds of thousands is the way to go - then in any serious family matter with grave consequences - like a contested divorce with custody issues - the lawyers would have the kids put in foster case and the assets in trust..less what is needed to pay the lawyers and courts until all the endless reviews and appeals to higher courts are resolved. Years and years pass. Then the kids turn 18 under state care, and no assets remain to pay the lawyers and the case is finally closed. Yeah, great system!!!! The Terri Schiavo case's obscenity is not that it didn't get enough due process...it got too much. 12 years of endless litigation. It cost the State of Florida several million in wild goose chase investigations, legislation, security, and court related costs. 700,000 for Michael Schiavo, a million plus in lawyers costs for the Schindlers and their RTL handlers paid out by activist groups. It cost the Federal government tens of millions of dollars to fly 350 Congressmen and 600 staff back from vacation, reopen & reconvene Congress to "Save Terri", 320-370,000 to fund Bush's special trip back to personally sign the Bill rather than just sign a bill FAX'd to him in Crawford. Plus the dozens of Federal appeals filed and acted on up to the Supreme Court. Which cost several more million. And the decision by admitting hospital doctors and paramedics to go beyond normal resuscitation efforts and give Terri Schiavo 3 extra "shots" to restart her heart because she was so young cost the hospital insurers over a million defending itself in Michael Schiavo's lawsuit, cost the insurers of one fertility doctor 1.8 million in awards made and legal costs. DelphiGuy - if that was "inadequate" due process, I hate to think what applying "full due process" would entail. All that just delayed what should have been done back in 1991-1992 or so. Pull the plug on a hopeless vegetative case with near-total brain death and no chance of recovery. And all but a small fraction of the multi-millions in costs were paid for by taxpayers. And Terri Schiavo is just one of a million patients who die every year when some decision is made to with hold some form of medical care. Do you honestly want the due process efforts made for Schiavo expanded, and extended to EVERY one of the million applicable cases??? Open your wallet wide, pal.

Terri - Might I offer to take that flaiming shot if it is balanced on top of your head? I promise to be careful and not tip it. Posted by: Cedarford on April 17, 2005 03:47 PM
Sure Nameless.... I'm bald anyway. So no worries, K? Posted by: Terri on April 17, 2005 03:50 PM
Cedarford: I am glad you took something I posted and smacked back. But if you read carefully, you'll note that those fine pieces of smackdown goodness were not my words, but someone else's. I posted them as examples of a good putdown. But since I posted someone else's words, under my name, then you have every right to lug my mother into this. Let me ask you: If my mother earned an honest living doing all those lovely things to maintain a family, why would that be worse than your mother doing the same acts in hell, and charging for them, no less? Your momma's so fucking skanky, only the devil's rejects have to PAY for it. And your mother's there, ready to please, for a fee. Posted by: KCTrio on April 17, 2005 04:42 PM
And since you know how cheap Joooos are (aren't sterotypes handy?), your momma's gettin' paid shit, in the relative scheme of things. Posted by: KCTrio on April 17, 2005 04:44 PM
KCT: Actually, you have it all wrong. The mother of "he who shall not be named" is actually the one paying for the pviliege of administering all those bj's. It's sort of like her way of buying absolution for her sins. She realizes that if she had only swallowed all those years ago she could have spared us from CF. Posted by: Jack M. on April 17, 2005 05:17 PM
Jack M: As usually, I'm humbled by your greatness. Of course you're right and I got it all wrong. Obviously, my best skill is quoting others. But isn't it a bit strange that the douchebag missed the fact that it wasn't even my smackdown? I only wish I had that ability. I'll stick to dirty songs. I think I owe you Iceland's new national anthem, yes? Posted by: KCTrio on April 17, 2005 05:26 PM
Hey!! Awesome site!! Did you know the Jews wanted to let Terri Schiavo live all because they feel guilty about killing Christ? 500 false appeals filed in Florida alone, all against Michael Schiavo by Jews!! Due process is Zionism!! Posted by: The Cedarford Spambot on April 17, 2005 06:41 PM
Jack M - She realizes that if she had only swallowed all those years ago she could have spared us from CF. A trick you are no doubt following in your "secret instruction sessions" when mommy is away, with your underage daughter. KCTRio - If my momma sucks Jewish cocks in hell at least she is smart enough to suck the the only ones (outside Japanese ones) where there is absolutely no danger of gagging until Ron Jeremy dies. Besides, she uses the money to have "the Swartzes" car key the "Mercedes in Hades" luxury vehicles of the Jooos down there. Drives 'em crazy, and Satan offers them no relief - even though Satan is an evil ungrateful bastard considering how obligated he should be that the Joooos gladly run his nefarious business interests - even the Jewish communists that croaked and found there was a hell after all and Trotsky wasn't there personal savior. Catholics love that Joooos in Hell complaint - "Wow, so Satan doesn't give a shit your Mercedes were car-keyed!!! Despite all you've done for him??? Who woulda ever thunk it!!" Your momma, on the other hand, considers charging money for sticking her tongue up a Saudi businessman in Hells rectum while giving BJs to Jews in hell for free - smart business practice. In other words, a stupid, Catholic slut of a momma KC had. Posted by: Cedarford on April 17, 2005 08:00 PM
These exchanges are unbelievably lame. But then I guess that shouldn't come as a surprise, since Cedarford is involved. Posted by: Megan on April 17, 2005 08:13 PM
Hey!! See super nefarious Catholic sluts get railed by Satan's Jewish chauffeur!! All Holes Filled (except Japanese ones!) equals Sound Hebrew Business Practices!! See Your Mom and Trotsky's ghost in HOT USURY ACTION!! Ask about my apostasy trial!!! Super cool!! Posted by: The Cedarford Spambot on April 17, 2005 08:33 PM
Megan, Of course you are right and I've decided to drop the charade. I've behaved so atrociously because of my desire for attention; attention I never received as a child. I think I'll be revealing a lot more of the 'inner me' in the near future but a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step you know. KCTrio, I apologize for the things I've said. Can you, too, forgive me? Posted by: Cedarford on April 17, 2005 08:37 PM
Last post is a phony from SpewFan. Megan of course is a fat white HS guy posing as a hot lezzie who ACE gets pissed at if I call her (him) a rug-muncher. The dweeb behind the "Megan" persona should be happy to munch rug, it would make his year. Almost as big a treat as 8 Big Macks swallowed down. Speaking of swallowing, outside "Megan" and Terri Schiavos magical promise of swallowing despite lacking a brain.....we have our SpewFan who seeks to elevate his oral skills to high art. Sort of like when BrewFan, nee` SpewFan scores a gay celebrity at the bath houses in Milwaukee. Gets a pearl necklace he can be proud of, and sports it about amongst his peers. "Guess! Guess who!" "Uh, Spacey?? Geffen? Stipes? Boy George??". "No, no you sillies!":....SpewFan sez. "Sir Elton himself annointed me!" Posted by: Cedarford on April 17, 2005 09:23 PM
Oh my. There I go again. I just can't help myself. My problems started when I was little and my mom used to lock me in the closet for hours on end. To amuse myself and pass the time I invented an invisible playmate named Ari. Oh the fun we used to have! Until that fateful day... Posted by: Cedarford on April 17, 2005 10:02 PM
Cedarford, After re-reading this thread, I realize my comments were inappropriate and stupid. I sincerely apologize. Posted by: Slublog on April 17, 2005 10:07 PM
No need to apologize Mr. Slublog. I've been having troubles with my friend Ari lately. He gets me so frustrated! The medicine helps but I keep forgetting to take it. Anyhoo, I also apologize for the stupid, insensitive things I've said too. Especially to that nice BrewFan. I don't know what gets into me sometimes. Posted by: Cedarford on April 17, 2005 10:13 PM

"with a picture of Tom DeLay saying, 'Do you want this guy to decide whether you die or not? Or is that going to be up to your loved ones?'" This seems to me to be about right, considering that it comes from the party who's view of love is 'not having sex with that woman'. Don't be surprised that they cannot define married or adultery or faithfulness as they are still having a hard time defining 'is' and 'evil'. Adultery, because everyone does it.
