Humor BreakHis sources tell him that the judicial victory in the Schiavo case will have a powerful aphrodisiacal effect on our neutral-and-objective press corps. Expect a bumper crop of mediatykes in nine months. posted by Ace at 06:38 PM
CommentsI gotta hand it to you, Ace. You found a way to please the people who want to hear about Terri and the complainers. BTW, that Therapist dude is hilarious. Posted by: John from WuzzaDem on March 18, 2005 06:48 PM

I'd shoot her AND the damned husband just to get this story off the front pages. Posted by: SGT Dan on March 18, 2005 07:38 PM
Hey Sarge, I've got a newsflash for you. For the next two weeks, as this woman starves to death, the media will report anything that keeps her off the front pages; good economic news, democracy taking foothold in Iraq, Hillary's menses and its presidential implications. . . But as long as you're overwrought with her ascendancy to the headlines, I concur. She should be starved(or shot) to ameliorate your overstimulated news digestion. -T Posted by: The Therapist on March 18, 2005 08:42 PM
Ace, before I get going for a long, long weekend (like til next thursday), I'd like to also commend you for a good job on covering this case. It's not your focus typically, but looking over the main page, you've just done a great job bring ing stuff together and for a large audience. The other libertarian blogs are ignoring this (PW, Insta, Volokh, etc), but you're not. That shows some real character. Good on ya mate. Posted by: hobgoblin on March 18, 2005 08:51 PM
Ace is a libertarian? WTF? Posted by: michael dennis on March 19, 2005 12:10 AM
I don't think I've ever been called a libertarian, nor identified myself as one. I tend to make fun of libertarians. I'm a conservative, but hey, I do come from a blue state. To be honest, I'm more of a Gonzo Republican Hack than a philosophical conservative. Posted by: ace on March 19, 2005 12:16 AM
. . .and a good guy for risking your reputation by linking to me. Thank you kindly. Posted by: The Therapist on March 19, 2005 12:52 AM
Ace, you might find this interesting: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0310/27/lkl.00.html SCHIAVO: I just think they're grasping at straws. I think they're being fed information that... KING: And what, Michael, is their motive? SCHIAVO: What their motive is? KING: In order to keep their daughter alive. They don't have a motive, do they? SCHIAVO: Probably just to make my life hell, I guess. - It's all about him. Posted by: Knemon on March 19, 2005 03:27 AM
Ace is no libertarian. But raspberries indeed to the "big" bloggers who entirely ignored today's story. Posted by: someone on March 19, 2005 04:10 AM
Isn't it ironic that some of the bigger blogs are taking on the characteristics of the MSM? If one makes it their calling to be a pundit how could you not comment on this; for or against. Oh well. I never visit blogs that don't allow comments anyway. I've alway felt my opinion is as good (or bad) as anyone elses. Posted by: BrewFan on March 19, 2005 08:25 AM

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals. The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite. Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
