I'd say hotness is the key, here. The clearly effiminate, submissive Mr. Pearcy is trying to keep dominant vegan harpy Mrs. Pearcy happy by picking on three lovely girls whose breasts don't dangle near the bellybutton region even when supported by bra and who, we may safely assume, don't have pubic regions that bring to mind the unswept floor of the barber shop King King goes to when he just gets too shaggy and nasty after stomping around in that damn tropical jungle for months on end without even taking a shower.

It's simple jealousy, obviously.

If the girls would just frump it up a little, you know, dress down and maybe wear Patchouli oil, Mrs. Pearcy would feel less threatened, and at least one sort of harrassment would stop.

Have you seen Mrs. Pearcy's CV? It's pretty impressive. BS in math at age 17, JD by age 20. Not that it justifies her horrible politics.

Pretty depressing, Moonbat_One. Of course, Chomsky did some genuinely impressive work in linguistics before he decided to go full time with his crypto-fascist sleazefest. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much connection one way or the other between brains and political coherence.

At least, that's how I feel right now. Mostly I'm just bummed because I don't know any Republicans who look like those tenants. :-/

From all the coverage I'd read the issue was exclusively draped in the predictable "Percy's 1st Amendment rights in jeopardy" bugaboo, and not a peep about two highly educated grown-ups engaging in a grade-school level pissing match.

Ditto the hotness issue. As soon as I saw the picture of those girls, the lightbulb went on: the Coulter Effect.

Some liberal men go freaking crazy at the very sight of beautiful Republican women. It's... it's... just so unfair!

Of course, it's possible that Pearcy never noted the contrast between his three yummy tenants and his lesbian-wannabe wife.

Both Pearcys appear to be asexual with complete absence of secondary sex characteristics.

Republican women are proud to be women. Liberals view being a woman as a handicap. Hence the difference in presentation.
Its also the reason why gay guys make horrible designers for women. They don't know what makes a woman beautiful.
