And Even More FunnyThis new cat The Therapist is a pretty funny guy. See, especially, this bit of fun at Peter Jennings' expense, and this fake article suggesting that Bill O'Reilly's "lookin' out for the folks" has caused Egypt to move towards allowing elections. posted by Ace at 05:37 PM
CommentsDid you know Peter Jennings never finished high school? Pretty interesting. Posted by: Moonbat_One on February 28, 2005 08:06 PM
To all Moonbats and Non-Moonbats Alike: Here's something that, hopefully, we can all (or most) agree on. Tonight PBS is running a wonderful bio on my hero, Nat King Cole (and his Trio). They're even interviewing his brother, Eddie Coles (Nat's name was originally Nat Coles). Sorry about the loose shit, Ace, but this is a really wonderful moment for me. I'll even set aside my nasty rantings towards Cedarford for the moment. Music is something that can smooth even the most divisive of opinionated people. And Nat had class; he'd rise above this arguing and encourage us all to enjoy the music. Kind regards to all, KCTrio Posted by: KCTrio on February 28, 2005 10:20 PM
I should have known better than to get all giddy abut the PBS show about my musical hero, Nat King Cole. Although the show was very good, they had to muddy the fucker up with pledge drive crap. Sorry, my lefty radar isn't functioning properly. Can't these people run a quality show without the pleadings for more, more more? I understand the need to plug TV shows, but why do they do it in such a way that it looks like a Jerry Lewis telethon? I never thought of it this way, until now. Instead of humbly asking for money, they make this big plea for help from a drowning man: "We're about to die and need funding for this special operation procedure that will keep us alive. We have a rare disease and we are suffering; there's only one doctor in the world that can save us. But he won't perform the operation that will save our lives unless you give us this money now. And the doctor also informs us that we need to give away these cool tote-bags in return for your life-saving donations." There's something simply slimy about the whole charade. I know that PBS only receives a portion of their funding from taxpayer funds, and they rely on private and corporate donations to fill the gap, but isn't there a new way they could do this. They've played the same song and dance for 30 years now. There's got to be some consultant out there that could teach them the art of fundraising. Sigh. I can't stand it. Another loose shit, off topic message from the Ace of Spades HQ menace, KCTrio Posted by: KCTrio on February 28, 2005 11:33 PM
I hate to derail the PBS thing. . . But thank you, Ace for billboarding me! -T Posted by: The Therapist on February 28, 2005 11:45 PM
Man, that Dusty girl looks a little sexed. I'm not going to lie to you. Double-bagger for sure. Posted by: CL on March 1, 2005 12:06 AM
Completely OT, but what again is the deal with AllahPundit and his hiatus? Did he get a Salman Rushdie-style fatwa against him or something? Posted by: CL on March 1, 2005 12:09 AM
Therapist: I'm the one who derailed this thread off-topic and threw in the PBS rant. I am sorry to both you and Ace for being off-topic. By the way, Therapist, your stuff is absolutely superb. Very funny, indeed. KCTrio Posted by: KCTrio on March 1, 2005 12:25 AM

You've got to see this one: http://politicaltherapy.blogspot.com/2005/02/report-landslides-could-turn.html So, if LA County slides into the ocean, it's Bush's fault too ... What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals. The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite. Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.

Oof. Reviewers do not like Scary Movie 6. The criticism I keep hearing is that the movie mistakes a reference for an actual joke. The movie (they say) keeps Key Jangling a reference to another movie (or some other pop culture ephemera) and you expect there to be a joke but nope, the Key Jangle was the joke. Other reviewers say that the promise that "no lines will be uncrossed" is a fake-out, and that the movie is bland and inoffensively corporate.
