I found a lot of pictures of Yulia, and most of them show her looking rather plain. Or maybe on the lesser side of plain.

She does clean up nicely, though.

Ace, man, you're breaking my heart. I saw some of the pics in the earlier thread, and though she does clean up real nice, the baseline isn't too shabby either. Not Monica Bellucci hot, but certainly pretty.

The hair has looked far worse, but again, the face and the chassis have seemed to remain a constant state of just fine (which is a hell of a lot better than 99.999999% of women in politics).

Tymoshenko wears her hair like that for the same reason George W. Bush wears a cowboy hat. She's really rich, and so lots of people would have a hard time believing that she's much like them. But that hairdo is part of a very traditional Ukrainian look. So this is her way of telling all the Ukrainian folk out there that she's just a plain old-fashioned country gal like them, and not a super-rich power-broker. It's what John Forbes Kerry was trying to do when he was windsurfing. Except that he was too elitist to realize that this sport is not exactly the Great American Pastime.

That's an interesting schoolgirl/dominatrix look she has going on with that grey dress and those black lace gloves. I suspect that she will be an effective prime minister for a variety of reasons.

Russian and Ukrainian women seem to age very well. Only thing I can think of is diet and less sun damage to the skin.
