You could call the show "Cyber Dicks" to give it a little noir feel, and there are lots of plays on the name considering the dual Olbermann Almost Gay/Moore Weird Whackoff Material theme.

I am on Bill Frist's mailing list and his emails are getting angrier and angrier over the Democrats holding up the judges.

Nuclear is not the right word. We are talking H-Bomb here folks.

But the Republican threat to neuter long-cherished filibuster rules by steamrolling Democrats is risky — so potentially destructive that Capitol Hill calls it the "nuclear option." Democratic retaliation would be swift and long-lasting, raising the prospect of escalating clashes in a body that prides itself on gentility and cool judgment.


Waitaminute.... I could have sworn I read a story in the paper a couple of months ago about how Dianne Feinstein and Chuck Schumer used the "Nuclear Option" to break the Republican Filibuster on a poison-pill amendment (to permanently renew the Assault Weapons Ban) to the Gun Maker's Protection Act (which effectively killed the bill).



So why is it just keen when the Democrats use it for their pet issues, but if the Republicans even bring it up, "Democratic retaliation would be swift and long-lasting"?

The threatened Democratic retaliation -- obstructing literally everything with an avalanche of one-man procedural votes -- is Karl Rove's wet dream. Remember how well shutting things down worked for Newt et al.? Yeah.

There is no great genius without some touch of madness.
