As a presumably Applebee-patronizing Ohioan, I see Saddam Hussein shaking Arafat's hand while wearing an obnoxious tie. Undoubtedly I am missing the more nuanced reality of the photo, which a blue stater would instantly pick up on.

I think the global islamic conspiracy may be far greater than we previously realized. That picture of Hussein with Arafat clearly proves that indeed, Hussein was funding terrorism around the globe.

If saddens me to share this other horrible information that I've found, because it seems that our only true partner in the war on terror may be a double crosser. Just look:

I think our troops in the field in Iraq really need to watch their backs when they are around British soldiers. They are double crossing terrorist allies.

It's embarassing how the last of the true-believing WMD true believers continue to insist the snipe hunt will be productive. Even kids quit after a night in the swamps with a pillowcase. (Our Neocon masters said mass stockpiles exist! Have faith!) Keep reminding people that Iraq is as big as California - could be buried anywhere, or say Iraq was one of 45 countries with the capability so it had to be taken out....or insist that a stray pre-Gulf War vial of sarin or a 20 year old shell is "proof positive" of massive stockpiles.

The only proof you need about the WMD threat is by July 2003, the military concluded there was no threat, no danger from Saddam holdouts, terrorists using WMD, because the military judged they didn't exist in quantities to pose a threat.

Now, I know that Saddam gave money for suicide bombers and had other nefarious side activities involving terrorists....so he is a terrorist supporter....but if anyone who has pictures taken with Arafat during a meeting is a terrorist...then every US President from Nixon on is a terrorist, every Israeli from Peres on is a terrorist, every European leader is a terrorist.

Anyway, it was a Sarin detection TRAINING kit--eg, it was real Sarin. Further, the Christian Science Monitor reports that it appeared that the terrorists were attempting to weaponize it.

I don't know how many times the MSM has to tell us? Saddam was the only leader in the ME who wasn't shopping for WMD's or hanging out with known terrorists. He didn't want to violate his parole, I'm sure.

And why would you need a sarin test kit without sarin? Maybe if, say, you used to have sarin ... I'll wait until this story runs its course before commenting further.
